"I'm nervous" Luke spoke as he pulled at the collar of his button-up shirt. He didn't really feel comfortable in other shirts than sweatshirts and t-shirts, but this was for a special occasion.

"Why? It will be fine," Ashton spoke and turned away from the mirror to look at Luke, "And you were the one proposing so you should feel more than happy to tell our families"

"I am happy to tell them," Luke said and sighed as his collar didn't do as he wanted it too, "I'm just nervous for their reactions, you know? I mean, we haven't even told the kids yet"

Ashton laughed softly and walked over to Luke to fix the blonde's collar before looking him in the eyes and smiled reassuringly.

"Do you know how many times both Peach and Leon has gone on and on about us getting married so they can be 'real' siblings? When we tell them they will be happy, for sure" Ashton spoke and placed a sweet kiss on Luke's lips before going back to dress himself.

Luke stood still on his spot and watched Ashton with adoring eyes. His boyfriend - his fiancé.

"I love seeing that on your finger" Luke spoke gently and eyed the golden ring that was securely wrapped around Ashton's ring finger.

Ashton looked down at his finger as it was mentioned, and smiled big as he twirled the ring around, admiring the soft feeling of the beautiful gold jewelry.

"I'm gonna buy you a ring some day. Something to show you just how much you mean to me" Luke mumbled and he walked over to Ashton and draped his arms around the honey-blond's waist.

Ashton looked at Luke for a while before breaking out in a smile and shook his head. "Don't do that. This ring it all that's needed and more. You don't understand how much it means to me that you let me wear this ring. It belongs to your family, and still you're willing to let me wear it"

"Well," Luke spoke and pressed his lips against Ashton's forehead, down to his nose, and then to his lips before speaking again, "You are my family"

Ashton breathed out a laugh and gave Luke a few sweet pecks on the lips before going back to dress again. Luke did the same, grimacing slightly at the shirt he was wearing. It looked nice, it was just that it was a bit too tight around his shoulders, making him feel like he couldn't move his arms.

Him, Ashton, and the kids were holding a dinner for their families to show off their new apartment, but also to tell them the exciting news, and it apparently meant 'dress nice'.

Luke knew everyone in his family would be happy for them. He knew everyone loved Ashton and Peach, but he still couldn't help but feel nervous. Hell, it was an engagement, and he was only 21 years old! It was like he already had his whole life planned out, and only a few months ago he could legally drink for the first time.

His brothers were not even close to get engaged or having kids, but Luke had both. Even an amazing apartment with his fiancé and their 2 kids. So yeah, Luke had possibly everything, while most people in his age were still getting hammered on weekends and weekdays.

He didn't regret a single thing though. There wasn't a single bit of him that thought this was a bad idea, because he knew that he loved Ashton and he knew that Ashton loved him, and that's all it takes for Luke to know he wants to spend the future with the honey-blond.

"If you don't like the shirt, change it. You don't have to wear it just because it's new" Ashton spoke after a while of watching Luke sigh and mutter in his new shirt.

"Yeah" Luke mumbled after one last look and unbuttoned the shirt to get himself out of it with a content sigh. Ashton rolled his eyes but chuckled before throwing a white long sleeved t-shirt over to the blonde.

"I can't wear this" Luke spoke as he inspected the shirt in his hands.

"And why's that now?" Ashton asked and raised an amused eyebrow at Luke.

"It's white, and we'll be eating" Luke spoke, causing Ashton to roll his eyes again.

"Oh my god, you're such a child" he mumbled under his breath, making Luke chuckle.

"I'll find something, don't worry," Luke spoke and grinned over at the half naked Ashton who was still standing in front of the mirror, "You just worry about your own appearance, princess"

"Stop calling me that same names you call my daughter, it's disturbing" Ashton said and shook his head as Luke laughed.

"Sorry, sorry," Luke said and walked over to wrap his arms around Ashton once again, "I meant baby"

Ashton breathed out a laugh and looked at Luke through the mirror before turning around in the blonde's hold and looked him in the eyes.

"She's your daughter too, you know" Ashton whispered while running his fingers through Luke's hair that was still damp from the shower he took earlier.

Luke smiled at that and held Ashton closer as he nodded his head. "Not legally, but she feels like she is. Just like Leon is a son for you"

Ashton smiled and nodded his head before biting down on his bottom lip. The older boy twirled his fingers in Luke's hair as he thought deeply. Luke noticed it.

"What are you thinking about?" he whispered and eyed Ashton with a frown. Ashton noticed the worry in Luke's eyes and smiled to assure him it was only happy thoughts.

"I don't know, I just-" Ashton started and bit his lip again while studying Luke's eyes, "I just thought that maybe we should make it legal?"

"What do you mean?" Luke asked with furrowed eyebrows as he glanced down at his boyfriend in confusion.

"I mean that we should make Peach legally yours and Leon legally mine, so we both are the fathers of our kids" Ashton spoke quietly, like if he was nervous of Luke's reaction.

"I like that," Luke spoke softly and ran his hands up and down Ashton's bare back, "What's your suggestion?"

"There isn't much else than adoption, right?" Ashton said and leaned his face closer to Luke's so their noses were touching, "Our kids have always only had one parent, but now they'll have two"

Luke licked his lips and thought about it. He would legally have a daughter, he would legally share his son with Ashton, and he would have a real family. A family him and Ashton had created.

"Yes, I want that. I really really do" Luke breathed out and watched Ashton break out in a smile before placing his lips on his, kissing Ashton deeply.

"We have to ask for the small ones permissions, but I think we'll be okay" Ashton spoke, making Luke chuckle and nod his head before placing his lips on Ashton's again.

The volume was loud in the apartment as it was filled with Luke and Ashton's families, as well as Michael and Calum. Everyone was talking, saying so much good about how the boys had fixed the apartment and how the home was just amazing.

Leon and Peach were seated on the edge of the table, seeing every face in their families and grinned big, feeling so content with being the center of attention. They loved how this place were their home.

"This is really good Luke, amazing" Anne spoke and smiled at Luke while nodding down at her plate of food.

"Thank you" Luke spoke, still becoming so bashful when people outside his family complimented him.

"You're so lucky you're with someone who can cook, Ash, because you can't cook for dear life" Lauren spoke and she took a bite of her food in satisfaction. Luke grinned.

"That's such an exaggeration, and you know it" Ashton mumbled and gave his sister a glare.

Luke enjoyed how childish Ashton always became around his siblings. The fact that they were quite much younger than Ashton made the honey-blond fall down to their ages.

Luke didn't mind at all though. He found it quite hilarious to see his boyfriend - fiancé - act like a teenager with his 17 year old sister and 15 year old brother.

Luke on the other hand was always the youngest, but by being so far ahead in life compared to his brothers, you would think he was the oldest.

To be quite honest, Luke was almost embarrassed for Ben's sake because the boy was 27 but acted like he was 13. Jack was better, but not even close to act like a 26 year old.

"Dad?" Leon asked from the other side of the table, making both Luke and Ashton turn their heads to look at him.

"Yeah?" Luke asked and licked the corner of his lips to check that he didn't have any food around his mouth.

"Can Peach and I get the cake?" the small boy asked as he bounced in his seat.

"Can you two really carry that by yourselves? It's pretty heavy" Luke spoke and eyed the toddlers with a hesitant look on their faces.

"We can do it" Peach said but Ashton shook his head, scared that they'd drop it all and it would cause heartbreaks for the two toddlers.

"I'll help them" Andrew spoke and smiled playfully at the small ones before standing up from his chair and clapped his hands, making the toddlers giggle and rush towards the kitchen.

"This apartment is great. It's really perfect for you two" Liz spoke and looked around after a moment of silence.

"Yeah, it's really nice" Ashton spoke with a smile. Luke watched Ashton hide his hands under the table while twirling the ring around his finger again.

Ashton had tried to keep the ring hidden as much as possible, and it had worked since no one had reacted to anything.

Neither Luke or Ashton cared if they had seen the ring though, but they wanted them to see it for the first time as they announced it.

"Look! I baked this with dad!" Leon said as he jogged over to the dining table with Andrew just behind him, carrying a simple - but nice-looking - cake.

Luke looked at his son's proud face and laughed softly. The boy may be 4 years old, but he had done the most of the baking. Luke hadn't intended Leon to walk in his cooking footsteps, but he certainly didn't mind that the small boy did.

It was amazing having Leon with him in the kitchen. It was something they bonded over, and Luke absolutely loved it.

"And I decorated it" Peach spoke as he sat down on her chair again, Leon doing the same.

"And what did Daddy Irwin do?" Michael asked in a mocking voice, making Ashton roll his eyes.

"He did nothing" Leon spoke carelessly, causing everyone to laugh softly. All but Ashton.

"You all make it sound like I do nothing in this house. It's unfair" Ashton spoke and looked at the toddlers as they were giggling happily.

"Yeah whatever," Harry spoke and waved his brother off as he sat up in his chair, "Cake" he spoke and eyed the cake as he ignored Ashton.

"Actually, no cake," Ashton spoke and this time gave Harry a childish glare, "Um, we need to tell you something first"

Luke it his lip in both excitement and nervousness as he smiled and nodded his head. He grabbed Ashton's hand under the table and held it tightly as their family members watched them intently.

"So, um," Luke spoke and moved around in his chair before gripping Ashton's wrist and held Ashton's hand up to show everyone the ring, "We got engaged last night"

The two boys grinned widely, nerves evident in their smiles, as they let their eyes study each face of their family members. It was quiet, deadly quiet, and Luke was starting to squirm in his seat at the lack of reaction.

"Are you serious?" Jack spoke up first, eyeing Luke and Ashton with raised eyebrows, "Can't you just leave something for me and Ben? You got everything before us, you make us look like complete losers"

"I-I-" Luke stuttered with furrowed eyebrows before speaking hesitantly, "I'm sorry?"

It was quiet again, Ashton holding his breath and glancing around the room, before Jack started laughing and shook his head.

"I'm just kidding Luke, I'm happy for you"

And after that, everyone broke out in a loud conversation, congratulating the newly engaged couple and complimented them as well as wishing them luck.

It all made Luke and Ashton breathe out in relief as they tightened their grip on their intertwined hands.

"Wait, this wasn't just because you felt threatened by me and Calum's engagement, right?" Michael spoke, making Calum groan and put his forehead against the table.

"No" Luke chuckled and shook his head while watching Calum glare and grumble at Michael.

"Is that my dad's ring?" Liz asked as she looked at the ring on Ashton's finger.

"Yeah," Luke spoke and smiled small at his mother, "I found it in the box you left and I just thought that it was perfectly sentimental and valuable"

Liz nodded before smiling back and looking at the two boys happily, "It's perfect. Dad would be so happy you chose to use it in such a meaningful way"

Luke smiled at his mother while feeling Ashton's eyes on him. He glanced down and locked eyes with Ashton, feeling a shiver of happiness run down his spine as his fiancé eyed him with joy and love.

Luke grinned before dipping his head down and kissed Ashton sweetly, knowing fully well their mothers were probably sneaking pictures of them right now.

"Are you getting married?" Peach asked, making the two fathers pull away from the kiss.

"Yeah," Ashton spoke and looked at his daughter softly, "Only if it's okay with you and Leon, that is?"

"Yes" Peach said immediately with wide eyes and a big smile on her pretty face as she nodded her head in excitement.

"Yes?" Luke asked and looked at Peach before looking at Leon who put his hands up in the air before yelling out an excited "yes!"

Luke didn't even bother to point out the rule about indoor voices because he was just as excited as his son as he stood up from his chair and ran over to the toddlers to hug both of them tightly. Ashton did the same with a wide grin on his face.

"Now we will be siblings!" Leon cheered as he looked at Peach with wide and happy eyes, causing everyone to laugh.

"Actually, about that," Ashton spoke and crouched down in the middle of the toddlers, eyeing them both, "Me and dad talked about it and now when we're getting married in the future, we want us to be a real family, legally and everything.

"So," Ashton spoke and turned to look at Leon, "I was wondering if I have your blessing to adopt you, to be your real dad. Alongside with your dad as well, of course"

"But you already are my dad?" Leon said and furrowed his eyebrows as he placed his small hand on Ashton's shoulder. Ashton chuckled softly.

"Technically you're only mine right now, only you and I are family, but if Ashton adopts you, just like I would do with little princess here," Luke said and crouched down beside Peach, "Then we'd legally be both your fathers. For real"

"And you'd be siblings" Ashton added with a soft laugh.

Both Leon and Peach sat still until Leon threw his hands up in the air again and yelled out yet another excited "yes!"

Peach giggled from beside him before doing the same thing, making the whole apartment fill with excited screams from toddlers.

Luke couldn't care less about the volume, so he did just the same and started to yell with the small ones, causing Ashton and the other to laugh.

"Oh stop this, I'm about to cry. This is too much for me" Anne spoke and chuckled as she wiped her eyes, causing Harry to mumble how embarrassing his mother was. Ashton only smiled lovingly at her.

"Now we will all be family!" Peach said, making everyone playfully yell as well, much to the toddlers delight.

And right at that moment, as Luke met Ashton's eyes from the other side of their kids, he felt completely and utterly happy.
