"Leon, open the door. It's Ben" Luke called from his bedroom as he dressed himself in a warmer kind of sweatshirt.

He could hear Leon's small feet against the floor as the boy ran down the hallway. Peach light giggles were heard from the living room as she was seated with Michael, Calum and Ashton.

"Ben!" Leon said happily as he had opened the door and placed his eyes on his uncle.

"Hey buddy" Ben spoke and picked Leon up to hug him tightly. Luke came out from his bedroom and eyed his brother with his son, smiling small.

"Let me see that cool Iron Man-hand I've heard so much about" Ben said and Leon happily lifted his casted arm so his uncle could check it out.

Ever since Leon had gotten his arm castes in that red cast and had Michael drawing lines and yellow onto it, it had actually looked like Iron Man's, and the small boy was more than proud to show it up.

Leon had even told Luke that he was excited to go back to preschool and show it up, but Luke still had a hard time accepting Leon to ever go back to school again after what the teachers had done.

"Wow, that's awesome," Ben said in an impressed voice and widened his eyes as Leon smiled proudly, "Who drew that?"

"Michael did it before we ate breakfast" Leon said and smiled at Ben before turning his head and noticing his father further down the hallway.

Ben put Leon down on the ground again and watched him run back to the living room before walking over to his little brother and ruffled his hair. Much to Luke's dismay.

"How are you? Excited to look at some apartments?" Ben asked and Luke nodded his head while running his hand through his hair, trying to fix the mess his brother caused.

"Yeah," he mumbled and frowned when pulling the the ends of his hair, "You're looking very fancy for this. Didn't know this was so important to you"

Ben snorted and shook his hair, "This is not for you. I have a newly wedded couple later today, and they're loaded. Have to make myself look extra professional" Ben said and checked the jacket of his suit before looking back at Luke.

"Thought so," Luke mumbled and Ben chuckled, "The rest of the people are inside"

The two brothers stepped into the living room, making everyone lift their heads and smile at the oldest Hemmings.

Ben grinned and walked over to great Michael and Calum like if they were his own brothers - which they kind of were - before crouching down to exchange a few words with the Peach, laughing softly when she complimented his outfit.

"How's my future brother-in-law doing?" Ben asked as Ashton stood up from the couch to give him a hug. Ashton laughed fondly and patted Ben's back before pulling away and grinned.

"I'm doing really good. How's my future brother-in-law doing?" Ashton asked and Luke rolled his eyes at the content smirk on his older brother's face.

"You're putting so much pressure on Luke now" Calum laughed and Luke rolled his eyes from the doorway of the living room.

"Yeah, so we'll go apartment hunting first and then ring hunting?" Ben joked but the sweet and fond smile Ashton gave Luke made the blonde blush slightly.

Both boys hoped to one day buy those rings and to one day get engaged, but that day wasn't today. It was still too early in their relationship and there was still so much more to learn about each other.

Luke hoped that all those things would be taught when they moved in and lived with each other. Also, before anything could ever come close to marriage, their kids needed to feel like they were a real family and feel 100% comfortable with everything around them.

But Luke knew their kids would, they practically already were, so Luke also knew that he would one day in the future ask Ashton to marry him. He just knew that.

"I think we should only focus on the apartment hunting today" Ashton chuckled softly before walking over to Luke and wrapped his arms around the blonde. Luke smiled and wrapped his arms around Ashton's shoulders, loving the way he was visibly taller.

Ashton may be older, but Luke was taller and that made him feel very content. Ashton was very aware of that and used to roll his eyes every time he saw that satisfied smirk on his boyfriend's face.

"Are you ready to go? We have until 4 pm, then I have to meet with my other clients at 5" Ben spoke and checked the watch on his wrist, making Luke chuckle at the businessman-look he was showing off.

Luke and Jack often teased Ben about his appearance during work. The Hemmings family had never really been into any fancy stuff, they just enjoyed the regular, and when Ben decided to study real estate to become a real estate broker, the whole family was quite amused.

Ben took all the teasing from his family with a smirk on his face, because none of his family member could make fun of the paycheck he got.

"Yeah, we're ready" Ashton said and walked over to Leon and Peach to leave a kiss on top of their heads before patting both Michael and Calum on their's.

"It feels like you are leaving your kids with the neighbor's 12 year old daughter and her friend" Ben spoke and eyed Michael and Calum up and down before chuckling slightly.

"I would feel like that too, but I don't since they don't give us any tip" Michael mumbled.

Luke laughed as he hugged his kids goodbye, wishing them a good day with Michael and Calum, before walking out to the hallway to get jacket and shoes.

"Bye, be nice" Luke said and pointed a scolding finger at his friends, making them roll their eyes before Luke closed the door.

"So, you guys need to get your apartments cleaned up and fixed a bit so we can put them out for show soon. If we find a good apartment today, it's good if everything falls to place all at once" Ben spoke as he led Luke and Ashton down to his car that was parked outside the apartment building.

"Will we get any good money for them?" Ashton asked as he sneaked his hand into Luke's and intertwined their fingers, making Luke smile.

"Yeah, well I know Luke's will get quite a lot thanks to it's central location and the balcony with the view. Ashton, yours is bigger but a bit problematic at the moment, so you'll have to be aware of slight less of value"

"That's okay, I wasn't expecting much" Ashton said and waved his hand in dismissal, making Luke chuckle fondly and tighten his grip around his boy's hand.

"Okay, so let's get going then" Ben spoke and walked over to a slick black sports car with some name Luke had no idea how to pronounce.

He desperately bit his tongue to keep himself from mocking Ben and rolling his eyes so hard they'd fall out of his head, but he just couldn't resist.

"Woah there Hollywood, you got a new ride? You sure you want me in it? I mean, I'm wearing a jacket I bought for 70 dollars way back in 2013" Luke spoke and Ben rolled his eyes as he laughed sarcastically.

"And was it during that year that you lost your humor?" Ben asked and Ashton bit his lip before laughing. Luke glared at his brother's content smile while Ashton chuckled at both of them.

"Whatever" Luke mumbled and reached for the handle of the door to the backseat since Ashton had already had called shotgun like a small child.

Luke sat down in the car and grunted when struggling the get his legs to fit in the cramped space.

"What kind of car is this?" Luke said and gritted his teeth as he tried to get his foot to fit between the seats, "You can't even fit back here"

"Well, when I bought it I wasn't really planning on driving 10 feet tall men around in the back" Ben joked as he started the car and drove out to the road.

"I like it, I think it's really nice" Ashton spoke from the passenger seat and ran a hand over the interior design in all black leather, "How come you haven't gotten anything like this, Luke?"

Ashton turned to look at Luke with an amused look his his face, making Luke roll his eyes and give Ashton a playfully stern look.

"That's because little brother here never went to college" Ben spoke and smirked as he drove through the quite heavy traffic. Luke rolled his eyes.

"And that's because 'little brother' here got a little son," Luke said and leaned over slightly to get closer to Ashton and Ben.

Luke reached his hand out and laced his fingers with Ashton, bringing his boyfriend's hand up to his lips and placed a kiss on it.

"And he also found a special someone who he's now in a stable long-term relationship with" Luke spoke again and Ashton smiled happily at him as he tightened his hold on Luke's hand.

"Oh, that reminds me," Luke spoke and turned to look at Ben, "How's the missus?" Luke asked and smirked when knowing fully well that Ben wasn't even dating anyone at the moment, and hadn't been for some time now.

"Fuck off, Luke" Ben mumbled and Luke laughed before he brought Ashton's hand up to his lips again, feeling the soft skin and just loved to know that Ashton was his.

And he was Ashton's.

"Am I a bad human being? Am I being too annoying and picky?" Ashton asked and looked at the two Hemmings brothers as they exited the fourth apartment of the day.

"Now, of course not," Ben said and shook his head, "This is how it should be, and how it is with basically every client I have. You need to be picky and you need to like every little corner because this is supposed to be your future home"

"Yeah, it's okay Ash," Luke spoke and smiled reassuringly over at his boyfriend, "I didn't like this one anyways"

"But you liked the first one" Ashton sighed and Luke chuckled softly as he shook his head.

"I don't want an apartment that you don't like. I want us both to live somewhere we both love" Luke spoke and tugged Ashton closer to curl an arm around his shoulders as they walked back to Ben's car.

"But this was the last one and we haven't found anything. Not a single one" Ashton spoke and looked up at Luke with almost apologetic eyes.

Luke breathed out a soft laugh and leaned down to press a kiss on Ashton's nose before kissing the boy's lips lightly.

"This wasn't the last one, we still got one more apartment to check out" Ben spoke as he unlocked his car and all the boy got in.

"What? No we don't, Luke and I only picked out these four apartments?" Ashton said and furrowed his eyebrows in slight confusion.

"No, Luke gave me back five papers last week" Ben said and started driving off. Ashton turned in his seat and looked at Luke with questioning eyes as the blonde smirked small.

"Ben gave me another apartment to check out after we had gotten those other papers and I checked it out and I love it. I was supposed to show it to you and ask for your opinions but I wanted to keep it a secret and just let you see it on the spot" Luke spoke and grinned.

"What?" Ashton asked with the same furrowed eyebrows.

"I know you'll love it, it's got everything you need. And if you don't love it, then I'm sorry but I'll buy it anyways because I'm in love with this place"

"If you love it so much then why did we just check out four other apartments that we didn't like?" Ashton asked and raised his eyebrows up.

"Because I wanted to make sure that you got what you wanted. If you would have liked that last apartment, we would probably have gotten it"

"Why? You said you didn't like it" Ashton said.

"But I like you. No, I love you, and I'm literally so whipped for you that I'd buy an apartment that I hated, only to see you happy" Luke spoke and shrugged, making Ashton blush slightly and Ben grimace.

"Any apartment is fine to me, as long as I'm living with you" Luke whispered and leaned over to press a kiss against Ashton's cheek.

"God, you're so cheesy," Ben said and shook his head, "Is that really the secret to get me girls?"

"I wouldn't know," Luke spoke and shrugged his shoulders as he relaxed back in his seat, "I'm dating a dude"

Ashton laughed, making Luke smile, because Ashton's laugh was one of Luke's favorite sounds in the whole wide world.

After about a ten minutes car drive, Ben pulled up outside a nice-looking apartment building at the outer side of the city. They stepped out of the car and Luke placed his hands over Ashton's eyes to block the older boy's sight.

"Luke?" Ashton asked and placed his hands over Luke's.

"I want it all to be a surprise" Luke spoke before leading Ashton inside, making sure the boy didn't see anything.

Ben walked in front of them and pressed the right floor of the elevator, stepped out when they had reached the floor, and unlocked the door to the apartment, making Luke lead Ashton inside.

"So this is the last of them all" Ben spoke before Luke let his hands fall down from Ashton's face, making the older boy see his surroundings.

To his left was a big open kitchen connected to a spacious living room that was just in front of him. To his left was a staircase up to - what looked like - a loft of some sort, and under the staircase was a door to a room, but Ashton had no clue what room.

The living room was bright thanks to the two big windows that almost reached floor to ceiling, but not really, and both the living room and the kitchen were panted or tiled in warm comforting colors.

"So, this is a really nice apartment that I found at the bottom of my papers. It's long forgotten it seems but it's perfect for you guys," Ben spoke and let the boys inside, "It got a big kitchen, great for you Luke, and it's connected to the living room to create space and make it all look bigger.

"The living room got a nice view over the city and it's really spacious, which is much needed with the two small ones running around" Ben spoke and smiled.

"Upstairs we have the old attic that the previous owners of the house bought and made into their own loft," Ben said and led them upstairs, "It got two bedroom, not that big, but they're more than enough, and a bathroom with toilet and a shower"

Ben showed them everything from the bedrooms to the bathroom, and both Luke and Ashton could picture their kids growing up there.

"It also got some kind of balcony view down the the living room up from here and it's really cool. It gives the loft a little more room thanks to the open space when you come out from the bedrooms.

"And then we got one room left," Ben spoke and grinned at the two boys before leading them downstairs again and over to the door under the staircase, "The master bedroom"

Ben opened the door and Luke let Ashton inside with a smile on his face when seeing the older boy's expression.

The room was big, but not too big. It fit a bed, a closet, bedside tables, and some other stuff you felt like decorating with. Right from the entrance of the bedroom was the door into a bathroom with toilet and a shower, a bit smaller than the one upstairs, but still perfect.

But the thing that caught Ashton's eyes the most was the balcony left by the bed. The two big glass balcony doors let in beautiful light, and the view Ashton saw from where he stood was amazing.

"You wanna go look?" Luke asked quietly and Ashton nodded his head before they walked over to the balcony, opened the doors, and stepped outside.

And Ashton was correct. The view was amazing, it was stunning. It got view over both the city and the ocean, making the outline of the city reflect against the water. They were quite high up, making the view even more fantastic, and Ashton was in awe.

Luke smiled adoringly as he watched Ashton let his eyes trace every line the city was drawn up by. He slowly stepped forward and curled his arms around Ashton's waist from behind, and hooked his chin over his shoulder.

"What do you think?" Luke asked softly and held Ashton close.

"I love it," Ashton spoke and shook his head like if he couldn't quite believe it, "I love it so much"

Luke smiled and placed his lips on Ashton's jaw, leaving light kisses on the skin before speaking again, "Then let's take it"

Ashton turned around in Luke's arms and looked at the blonde with hesitant eyes, "Can we really do that? We can't afford this Luke, this is way too amazing"

"I already checked that and it's in our range of money," Luke spoke and placed his forehead against Ashton's, "I wouldn't have taken you here to check this place out if we couldn't even afford it"

Ashton cracked a smile that soon turned into a bright grin, as he curled his arms around Luke's neck and held the younger boy close.

"Then please can we take it, because I love it. I'm in love with this place" Ashton said, making Luke nod and leave a kiss on Ashton lips before walking back inside to talk to Ben.

Ashton stood still on the balcony and let his eyes roam the view again, already being able to imagine their family living here. It would be their home and they would grow here. As individuals and as a group.

As a family.

Luke came back a few minutes later and turned Ashton around to plant his lips on his before speaking, "Ben's making the call right now, then we'll get rid of our apartment and sign papers, then this place is ours"

Ashton brought his hands up to Luke's face and caressed the blonde's cheeks as he smiled fondly.

"God, I love you so much, Luke Hemmings" Ashton spoke softly and Luke smiled before leaning in and placed a kiss on Ashton's again.

They kissed, making love and happiness shine through the beautiful lip locking. Both boys were so happy, and they couldn't ask for anything else at this moment.

Luke pulled away from the kiss after a while and kissed Ashton all over the face before speaking up again,

"I love you too, Ashton Irwin"
