《fatherhood // lashton》13 - part one

Luke frowned as he fixed the collar of his shirt, huffing slightly when it still didn't look good.
"What do you think?" Luke said and turned towards his bed to show Leon his outfit. Leon didn't even look up from Luke's phone that he was playing some random game on, and Luke sighed.
"Hey," Luke said and snapped his fingers, making Leon look up from the phone screen and place his big blue eyes on his father, "I need your help"
"With what?" Leon said and tilted his head to the side.
"Do I look okay?" Luke asked and his son still had a confused look on his face as he nodded his head. Luke chuckled.
"You don't look so sure about that" Luke said and sat down on the bed beside Leon. His son smiled up at him big, not because he understood what his father had joked about, but because he always smiled when Luke did.
"Why are your clothes so nice?" Leon asked and Luke grinned because he had gotten an answer to his previous question.
"I'm taking Ashton out for dinner, and you and Peach will hang out with Lexi and have fun at her place" Luke said and smiled excitedly down at Leon who did the same while nodding his little head.
"Are you and Ashton getting married?" Leon asked and looked down at the phone again. Luke smiled as he shook his head.
"No, we're not," Luke said and combed his fingers through his son's hair, "Not yet at least"
"I want you to marry Ashton, I want Ashton to be my real dad" the small one said, a small smile on his lips all the time.
"You want that?" Luke chuckled and Leon nodded his head again, "Am I not a good enough father for you?"
"Yes," Leon said and giggled at his father, "But I want Peach to be my sister"
"She can be that without me and Ash being married"
"No, Mrs Fields said that you have to be family to be brother and sister, and she said that we will be family if you and dad get married"
Luke smiled fondly at the way Leon kept calling Ashton 'dad'. Luke was more than comfortable with his son calling his boyfriend 'dad', just like Peach calling him the same. It just felt right and it made Luke unbelievably happy.
Like if he's really made it in life. His life was pretty much perfect right about now.
Luke chuckled and laid down on the bed, curling his arms around his son and pulled him down as well. Leon giggled as his father brought him close to his chest and tickled the side of his small body.
"You know I like Ashton very much, but him and I haven't been together for a very long time, and it takes a lot of time to get to know each other and our different lives before we can even think of getting married" Luke said while Leon was playing with the top button of his father's shirt.
"Do you understand?" Luke asked again and smiled when Leon nodded his head. The small brunette looked up at his smiling father and smiled back as usual.
Leon reached his hands up and started to play with the ring in his father's lip, something that Leon often did.
The small one was very fascinated by the piercing Luke had spontaneously gotten when he was 17. Or well, Michael and Calum had been a big part of the decision. His mother hadn't been so happy about it, but when the pregnancy news came up, Luke's piercing was the least of her problems.

"When can I have a ring in my lip?" Leon asked and Luke raised his eyebrows up at the question.
"A piercing?" Luke asked and Leon happily nodded his head, "Never" Luke answered simply, making Leon frown.
"Why?" the small one said and pouted.
"First; because you are 4 years old and you should not be thinking of these kinds of things," Luke said and bopped Leon's small nose, "And second; because when you grow older I know for sure that you will not want to look like me"
"Why?" Leon asked again, confusion laced in his voice. He didn't understand why his father said that because for Leon, Luke was the best person in the world.
"You'll understand when you're a teenager," Luke said and chuckled before hugging Leon tightly, "But for now just be my little boy because I don't ever want to think about you growing up and wanting to do stuff without me"
Leon only giggled and hugged his father back, leaving the two Hemmings' curled up in bed while talking about the new animated movie Leon had seen. Luke had seen it with him, but he let his son tell the whole story again because the excited gleam and the happy look on his son's face was all Luke cared about.

"Knock on the door" Luke said and laughed when watching Leon excitedly running over to the Irwin's apartment door. Luke fixed his shirt once again, straightening it out from any creases before the door opened, showing a smiling Ashton.
"Hey champ" Ashton said and ruffled Leon's hair before the small one ran pass him and into the apartment. Ashton only laughed while shaking his head.
Luke was standing still in the hallway, watching his boyfriend with adoring eyes. Luke had always known that Ashton was beautiful, but watching him right now as he was wearing a military green button up shirt and skinny black jeans, his long curly hair styled to the perfection, and those few familiar braided bracelets on his left arm, Luke was amazed by all the beauty and pure perfection.
"Are you gonna stand there all day?" Ashton asked, a grin on his face as he watched Luke's stunned face. Luke looked up and cracked a smile before making his way over to Ashton and kissed him softly.
"You look amazing," Luke whispered and kissed Ashton again, "So perfect"
Luke smiled as he pulled away and watched the small blush coating Ashton's cheeks. The boy may be 24, but when he blushed he looked like a adorable teenager, and Luke loved it.
He just simply loved Ashton.
"Thank you, you don't look so bad either" Ashton said and wiggled his eyebrows, making Luke chuckle.
Luke brought both his hands to Ashton's face, brushing his thumbs over the smooth skin on Ashton's cheeks.
"What plans do you have for us tonight?" Ashton asked softly and ran his hands up and down Luke's clothed waist.
"Don't have any plans really," Luke said and lightly nuzzled his nose with Ashton's, "We're going to the restaurant and we're gonna cook"
"Cook?" Ashton asked and raised his eyebrows.
"Yeah, Dan let me barrow the restaurant for the night and you're gonna help me cook" Luke said and smirked down at Ashton.
"Do you want us to not eat tonight because me cooking will make it end up like that" he said and Luke laughed.
"I'll help you, don't worry" Luke said and kissed Ashton again.
"Isn't the restaurant opened tonight?" Ashton asked softly while gently fixing the collar of Luke's shirt. Luke shook his head.

"They're renovating the restaurant area but the kitchen is fine, so we'll be there"
"That's amazing," Ashton whispered and smiled up at Luke before whispering again, "You're amazing"
Luke grinned before yet again leaning in to place his lips on Ashton, engaging a long and soft kiss. He pulled away slowly and brushes his thumb over Ashton's bottom lip while biting down on his own.
Luke just had to take in the moment because Ashton was perfect, literally everything Luke could ask for, and he was his.
"We should probably get going, I told Lexi we'd be at her place in around 10 minutes" Luke said and Ashton nodded.
"Let me get the kids" Ashton said and pecked Luke's lips before walking off to Peach's room. After just a few seconds, both Leon and Peach came running out. Both attacking Luke in a hug and almost broke his knees as they clung to his legs.
Ashton came out from the toddler's room, carrying a small red backpack in his hand as he helped Peach put on her pretty beige jacket.
Leon was jumping up and down impatiently beside Luke while telling his father to help him put on his shoes, and Luke was just loving every second of this moment.

"And I know it's a weekend but they don't need to stay up later because of that. Too much sugar will make them not be able to sleep so-"
"Luke, I heard you the first time," Lexi said and rolled her eyes while chuckling lightly, "It will be fine, I'm pretty sure I know how kids work"
"Well, 'pretty sure' doesn't assure me-"
"Luke," Ashton said and placed a hand on Luke's shoulder, "Relax, Lexi will do great. The kids are already having a blast and we've been here for 3 minutes. They didn't even care about our goodbyes"
Lexi nodded her head in agreement and Luke sighed before nodding his head as well. "Okay, okay" he mumbled.
"Now get out of here and have your date. Go on" Lexi said and ushered them away from the hallway and into the corridor outside her apartment.
Luke rolled his eyes at his friend while Ashton laughed.
"It was very nice meeting you Ashton" Lexi said and smiled sweetly.
"You too" Ashton answered and returned the smile.
As Ashton turned around, Lexi looked at Luke with wide eyes before mouthing all kinds of obscene words while doing weird sexual hand movements. Luke gave her a warning glare before smiling sweetly when Ashton turned around again.
"Okay, we'll be going then. Bye" Luke said and took Ashton's hand in his, starting to pull him away from there so he wouldn't notice Lexi's acts.
"Why in such a hurry suddenly?" Ashton asked with a light laugh as they walked out on the streets again.
"No reason other than I want you all for myself" Luke said and tugged Ashton with him towards the restaurant.
Within a few minutes of walking hand in hand, they reached the restaurant Luke knew all too well. Luke walked Ashton to the staff entrance and dug in his pocket for the key before unlocking the door.
Luke smiled widely as he opened the door and turned on the lights. They walked in and when they entered the kitchen, Luke turned to Ashton and grinned.
"Welcome to my territory" Luke said and Ashton giggled. He walked up to Luke and kissed his cheek before walking further into the big kitchen built up by stainless steel, making everything look so clean and professional.
"Let me see you work, Ramsay" Ashton said and Luke laughed before nodding his head.
The blonde unbuttoned his shirt and slowly undressed himself of it, making sure Ashton was watching him all the time, before he fully took it off and threw it over to his boyfriend. Ashton caught it while looking at Luke with a raised eyebrow.
Luke laughed before he walked over to get his chef jacket, not wanting to spill anything on his nice shirt. Luke another clean chef jacket and threw it over to Ashton, smirking as he did so.
"Get dressed, you're gonna be my sous chef" Luke said and laughed when Ashton groaned to himself.
"You're gonna regret it" Ashton mumbled and started undressing himself of his shirt.
"I don't think I will" Luke said and let his eyes roam Ashton's shirtless body. Ashton chuckled before putting on the white jacket, buttoning it before turning to Luke with a hesitant look on his face.
"Okay, let's go then" Ashton mumbled but Luke held up a finger to silently tell him to wait. The blonde turned around to walk over to a locker, taking out his snapback and put it on his head before grabbing a hair tie, handing it over to Ashton.
"Can't have your long hair in the food" Luke said and Ashton rolled his eyes jokingly as he used the hair tie to put his hair up.
"Now we can cook" Luke said and grinned big, making Ashton smile as well.
"What are we cooking?" Ashton asked.
"Depends what you wanna eat," Luke said and rolled up the sleeves of his jacket a bit, "Are you in for some Lumaconi with Prosciutto and Lemon Cream Sauce or would you rather have Roast Chicken with Crisp Toasts and Ricotta?"
Ashton stood quiet with his eyebrows raised. "I have no idea what you just told me now. What was the first one you said?"
Luke laughed. "It's some handmade pasta with some very nice ham and a sauce. The other is roasted chicken with sourdough toast and some really nice cheese" Luke spoke and Ashton smiled because he loved how Luke was so passionate about this. It was cute.
"I'd like the second option, that sounds very good" Ashton said and Luke nodded his head happily before walking off to the fridge to get all the ingredients needed for the dish.
"Do you see all those pans and stuff over there?" Luke asked and pointed over at one wall with all the necessary stuff needed in a kitchen. Ashton nodded.
"Great, you can take down the third one to the left and the first one to the right. I think those are the only ones we'll need" Luke said and Ashton did as told, walking around the kitchen while his eyes roamed around the place.
Ashton enjoyed the calm environment at the moment. He knew that while the restaurant was open, the environment in here was probably chaotic and stressed, but right now as only he and Luke were there, it was so relaxing.
He just loved the way he could hear Luke hum some random tune while he was starting to unwrap the many diffident ingredients for their dish. Ashton had found out that he very much loved to watch Luke cook. It was something about it that made Ashton smile, and the fact that Luke looked really good while doing it was a huge bonus.
Ashton placed the pans on the stove by Luke before stepping away to watch Luke in silence, content with only watching and not having to participate. That ended quickly though.
"Are you gonna help me or not?" Luke asked and chuckled when catching Ashton staring at him. Ashton shrugged.
"Do I have to? You seem to do great without me" he spoke and smiled sweetly. Luke laughed and shook his head.
"Yes, you're my sous chef" Luke said and handed Ashton a bowl of pine nuts for him to chop. Ashton took it with a sigh.
"What does that even mean?" Ashton asked as he was slowly working with the knife.
"That you're the second in command in the kitchen, you're like my helper. It means, like, 'under-chef' in the kitchen. Basically that you're below me" Luke said as he worked on the stuffing for the chicken.
"So if I do a good job it's this dish, will that mean I will be sous you tonight when we get back home?" Ashton asked and wiggled his eyebrows.
"That was a good one," Luke said laughing before smirking, "And yeah, if you do good then I think that could possibly happen"
Ashton laughed as he looked at the smirking younger boy, loving how happy they both were. Ashton dropped the stuff in his hands to the counter before grabbing Luke's face and bringing him down those few inches for their lips to meet.
Luke sighed out happily into the kiss before letting go of the spoon and bowl he was using, to place his hands around Ashton's waist and kissed him back. Their lips moved perfectly together as they were standing in the middle of the spotless kitchen.
Already had amazing smells began to spread around the room as all kinds of spices and herb were placed on the counter. Heat was starting to spread as well, both because the gas stove was on, and because the kiss Luke and Ashton were sharing was now involving smooth tongues.
Ashton brought his hands to the back of Luke's neck, finding some strand of hair under his snapback, while Luke pressed the palms of his hands against the small of Ashton's back, bringing the older boy closer to himself.
Luke pulled away soon after and chuckled before shaking his head.
"I hate to stop it, but I will not let your kisses distract me in the kitchen anymore. I don't want to mess this dish up, I want this date to be perfect" Luke spoke in a soft voice.
Ashton smiled, "It already is"
