Chapter 19: Next Day and New Classmate
The next morning I woke up before the twins arrived at my house, so that was a sign of this being an amazing day. I walked downstairs to the kitchen and got myself a bowl of cereal without someone trying to steal it and eat it all before me, I had just finished my cereal when the twins walked in.
"Wow! For once she is finally up before us." Ashley said going straight to my pop tarts next to the fridge.
"That's a first!" Amy exclaimed as I got up to put my bowl in the sink.
"Did something happen? Are you feeling ok?" she asked placing the back of her hand on my forehead when I turned around.
"I'm Fine! The only ones that have issues and something wrong with them are you two." I said pushing her hand away.
"Ah there's the Star we know and love." Ashley said opening some strawberry pop tarts.
"So are we going to school or not?" Ashley continued with a mouth full of pop tarts.
"But I didn't get to eat?" Amy whined.
"To bad. You can eat at school. Let's go before we're late." Ashley demanded pulling Amy out the door and I followed them out.
So we headed on to school, once there I didn't notice Lash at his normal places outside, which I guess was a good thing. So I headed towards my locker with the twins in tow along with Amy's boyfriend Austin. Sure enough as soon as I turned the corner and could see my locker, a familiar figure stood in front with his hands behind his back.
"Lash what are you doing?" I asked walking up to him.
"Just standing here, waiting for my girlfriend. Have you seen her? She's about your height, most beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair and also the most amazing smile I have ever seen." he said smiling at me.

"Awe how sweet and adorable!" Amy yelled.
"Eww. I hate all this lovey dovey stuff. I get enough of it from you two at home. It's disgusting! I'm going to class before I'm sick." Ashley said walking away.
"Wait Ashley! That's sooo rude!" Amy yelled chasing after her sister.
"I guess I'll talk you later?" I said.
"Bye Star! Talk Later!" The twins and Austin yelled back to me.
"So Lash what are you hiding behind your back?" I asked turning back to him and walking up closer to him.
"Nothing. I'm just standing here with my hands behind my back." he said smirking.
"Lier! What kind of flowers are they?"
"What flowers?" he said showing me his hands with nothing in them.
"WHAT?!? BUT HOW I READ YOUR MIND! YOU WERE THINKING 'I HOPE SHE DOESN'T GUESS THAT I HAVE HER FAVORITE FLOWERS' HOW COULD I BE WRONG?!" I yelled grabbing his shirt.
"Tricked you didn't I?" he said laughing.
"Jerk." is said hitting his chest then pouting.
"You maybe a mind reader but all someone has to do is change what they are thinking to something else to trow you off."
"That's not possible because they usually think of what to change the thought to first."
"Check your locker." he said smiling.
I opened it up to see a vase with a dozen roses, with one purple rose in the middle of all the red roses.
"I didn't lie, my thoughts were right, I just didn't think about the flowers being behind me." he said smirking and wrapping his arms around me.
"Jerk." I said pouting again.
"You're so cute."
"Why did you do this?" I asked turning to face him.
"Do I need a reason to give my girlfriend gifts?"
"Lash just answer my question." I demanded crossing my arms over my chest.

"Well it's my way to apologize for yesterday, and also we never had our picnic in the park. So I figured this could make up for it." He said pulling me closer.
"What am I going to do with you?" I teased moving my hands to his shoulders.
"A kiss would be nice." he said smiling and placing his forehead on mine.
"Fine but only because of the flowers." I said smiling then kissing him sweetly but all to soon the bell rang.
"I gotta get to class now, and so should you." I said pulling away and pushing on his chest lightly.
"Alright...but on one condition...let me take you out to dinner tonight at 8?"
"Ok."
He then gave me another quick kiss before walking down the hall towards his first class, I grabbed my books and headed to class. I barley made it to class on time, we found out that today was the freeze ray project of being able to build one in partners, luckily I had Amy...maybe not so lucky. Soon after the class started a kid came to the door. He was the one from the fight yesterday. Stronghold I think. Anyway he got paired with Gwen and her thoughts told me she was pleased that her plan was working.
"You may have Lash wrapped around your finger but he will still do what I say....all because of you. Oh and now with Will wrapped around mine, you can't stop me. So don't try it." her thoughts read.
"Ugh I hate her so much." I groaned.
"Who Star?" Amy asked.
"Nobody...never mind about it ok."
"Ok...well than could you help me with this ray?" she said pointing to all of the parts in front of us.
As we started working two boys in front of were getting yelled at and got a D-, next Mr. Medulla went to Quinn and Will after Gwen fixed it. He froze a guy and then got onto Quinn to not help the new kid. After a few things said Medulla said something else to them and asking for a girl in the class to thaw out the guy frozen before heading back towards the front of the class.
"Hey we finished! Yay!" Amy said.
"Yeah great." I said still focused on that Evilness called Gwen.
She started telling Will how she was impressed with his fight, then he made a horrible attempt at a joke followed by her offering to tutor him.
"Poor kid is just playing right into her hands...wish I could warn him." I mumbled to myself looking down at the table.
"What did you say?" Amy asked.
"Oh nothing." I said smiling at her, As Mr. Medulla came up to us.
"Good job girls but still room for improvement. B!" he said then walked away.
Soon it was time for lunch and I would have warned that kid but Gwen never let him leave her side. He followed her like a little puppy. Once in the cafeteria I notice his friends get turned down from sitting with him and Gwen so they decided to sit at another table. Hmmm...maybe if I can't get to him and warn him maybe I can warn his friends about Gwen and they can help him....Maybe if I do this then Lash won't have to follow her every order and I can have my old Lash back. Yes that it! I'm going to talk to his friends.

The Yes-Mage
Plenty of people have stopped and asked what it'd be like to simply have everything, and Sylvain Henry Camille Johansson was no different. He was a man who had a lot of things going on, with a name that'd make a supervillain blush and a family who'd make even the useless of their rank into someone important. It was a shame, then, that he was slapped with a dreadfully unfortunate condition that kept him from living up to any of those already low expectations. Stuck living a life where magic is everywhere while he's left working with nothing more than a moderate intellect, a little bit of whatever influence he could get from his family, and a lifetime's practice at making himself the ideal subordinate for his bosses' boss, Vane was still beating the odds and slowly working his way up in the world. When the cunning yes-man finally got a chance to really make a name for himself, he leapt at the offer, taking his first real step onto a road he knew he was always meant to walk. His goal? Nothing less than finding out why he and too many other unfortunate souls are barred from the wonderful world of the higher energies, and with any luck, fixing it. Of course, life has a knack for interfering in even the humblest of plans, and Vane's lofty ideals were anything but humble; he was practically a walking bullseye for disaster. The funny thing about catastrophe, though, is that nobody can ever say what form it's going to take. That’s why, when it all went wrong for Vane, he'd gotten everything he'd ever wanted foisted onto him, and Everything else, too. Watch as a man so used to saying 'yes' to everyone above him finds himself stuck with the power to make reality itself say it back.
