(A/N: OH MY GOSH THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 1K READS! And 100 votes?! AHHH!! My birthday is this Thursday and this was an awesome early present. I love you all
Why are you even with this loser, anyway? You know I like you more.
Maybe, its the fact that you have a girlfriend.
We both know I'm only dating her to make you jealous.
Sure.
"Claire?" I hear Louis's voice ask.
"Hm?" I say, "Sorry. I was lost in thought."
"It's alright," He smiles, "I asked what you were doing after High School,"
"Well, I'd really like to be a geneticist," I state.
I already knew that.
"How long would you be in school?" He asks.
"Six years. 4 in college and 2 in medical school. I'd get a masters, but I'm sure it's worth it. I've always loved genetics." I tell him.
"I sure could've used you in biology," He jokes.
I laugh, "I'm sure I could have helped you."
Nice, Claire. It's not like you already help me in every subject.
I continue to ignore the voice throughout the entire date with Louis. It''s a real pain in the butt. Still, I continue to ignore it. By the time Louis and I are done eating, it's pouring raining.
And he brought you in a motorcycle. At least I would have had enough sense to bring you in a car.
"I'm sorry. I should've-"
"Its fine, Lou. I don't mind getting a little wet," I admit.
Excuses, Excuses.
Louis smiles, and we run to the motorcycle. He drives to my house as fast as possible. As Louis drives, I think about how perfect this seems. The rain, holding close to Louis as he brings me home. But I can't deny how different and imperfect it feels. I feel like something... Almost everything, is missing. I feel as nothing is right and I need to run. My mind tries to convince me this is right, while my heart feels it's wrong. Louis pulls into my driveway, and brings me to my porch.

"I had a really great time," He tells me.
"I did too," I smile.
Claire, get inside. Now.
Why should I? You don't listen to me.
Well, I'm also a figment of your imagination, created by you. Technically, you're not following yourself.
Louis leans in, and I let him. Feeling as if I have something to prove, I lean closer to Louis and kiss him first.
Louis's lips are sweet, innocent, but don't create the same sensation I get when I'm with Liam. When I'm with Liam, everything feels so... perfect. Synchronized, planned, meant to happen..With Louis it's... It's all wrong. But Liam is wrong. He's wrong for me in general. I've known that since the day I've met him...
Lips part from mine, and I see Louis's face.
"I'll see you tomorrow?" He asks.
I nod, almost unable to speak, as he drives off in the rain.
I walk inside to an empty home. I see a note on th counter, but don't bother reading it. Immediately, I grab my phone and just stare at it. I want to hear his voice. I want to talk to him. I want to tell him I love him. I want to admit it to him. I want a happily ever after. I want him, but all I do is stare. Nothing happens. Nothing rings. All I see is a black screen with my reflection. A confused girl, who isn't confused at all, in a way. She knows exactly what she wants. She can't have it. Eventually, I just walk up to my room, not knowing what to do. I grab some pajamas, and head into the shower. I continously think. I just keep thinking. About Liam, About Louis, About... everything. Thoughts just swirl through my head. After that, I get out, thinking I know what I need to do.
With wet hair and PJs on, I grab my phone, but it's ringning. An unknown number. Hesiatantly, I answer.
"Hello?" I ask the person on the other line.
"Hi, uhm... Is this Claire?" The girls voice on the other line asks.

"This is she..." I state, a bit wierded out.
"Good, I'm Demi. I'm in your English class?" She tells me, a certain oddness in her voice.
"Yeah, I see. Why'd you call?" I inquire.
"Oh... It's a stupid reason, really. Niall gave me your number. He's really sweet... I... I don't know how to say this..." She says.
"Say what?" I question.
For a moment, Demi is silent, "I... I kissed your boyfriend."
"Who?" I ask a bit confused.
"Niall... I... I kissed Niall," she admits.
"Demi, Niall and I aren't dating," I tell her.
"Really?" She asks, a bit shocked, "That's what Liam told me..."
"Liam's not really known for telling the truth," I state.
"I'm sorry for bothering you..." She says.
"It's alright. have a good rest of your day, Demi."
"You too." She sighs, and I hang up.
I'm quite shocked Liam told her I was dating Niall. He lied to Demi, honestly, I shouldn't really be shocked, then my mind wanders to the night I met his dad... The night we danced. It almost felt as if Liam was a completely different person that night. Like, he was the real him. Not the act he puts on at school, because under all those tattoos, all there really is is a broken boy looking for his missing pieces. And that is the boy I fell in love with.
Then something pops into my head.
Niall and Demi kissed.
I quickly grab my phone and call Niall.
"'Ello?" I hear his Irish accent.
"When were you planning on telling me you kissed Demi?" I ask in a motherly tone.
Niall is quiet for a moment, then asks, "How did you find out?"
"She called. She was told by our little friend, Liam, that we were dating. Out of guilt, she called me and told me that you two kissed. When did this happen, Niall? I told you about Liam and I," I tell him.
He starts, "It was New Years Eve. At the party. Liam had lost Demi. I don't know how, but he did. She was a little tipsy, but I was fully drunk. We had started talking. We exchanged a few words. I'm pretty sure I told her she was the prettiest girl I had ever seen. We had each had even more to drink. Then, midnight came around. We were right next to each other, drunk, and... we kind of... made out. After that we spent the rest of the night together. Until we both passed out. It was... sweet. The next morning wasn't, though. Payne had found us and gave me a black eye. I was quite shocked he hadn't told anyone. I'm glad I didn't forget... I guess it's an Irish thing... you know? But... that was the night I realized... I was in love with her. Don't kill me. i was drunk. And you aren't so innocent either."
I'm silent a little while after, then say, "I understand..."
There's a silence for a while, then I tell him, "Love makes you do some pretty stupid things, huh?"
"Some pretty stupid things," He states.
Another awkward silence.
"I kissed, Louis, Niall." I admit.
"Are you two a thing now?" he asks.
"I don't know," I start, "Can you date someone and be in love with another? Or do you really even love one?"
"Thats how affairs happen," He tells me.
I sigh, "I guess... Maybe it will all work out in the end, but i feel like that sort of stuff only happens in movies... Demi has definitely been the better person so far, Niall... We need to tell her."
"We?" He asks
"Please, Niall. I don't like hurting people, and I don't want to do this alone. Plus, you can be there to comfort her afterwards," I plea.
"Okay... What are you going to tell her?" He inquires.
"Shortly put? I'm in love with her boyfriend."

Luck Lockyer
Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state. But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people. Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church. It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family. That was all he wanted. Simple. It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his. *found the picture online

8 276Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.
