Being the new girl, I was able to get by with,"I got lost on the way to class." Which is partially true. After I ran away from Liam, I didn't know where I was going, and got lost on my way there.I notice a lot of classmates looking at me. I look down at myself... I dont see anything stare worthy... Then, while looking in my booksack, I notice the dress slipping out my backpack. I sigh angrily to myself. That boy is getting on my nerves. I move the dress out of the way, and get my notebook out and start taking notes.
My day goes by sluggishly. None of this accedemic stuff is challenging to me, and I'm in honors classes.I walk into fourth hour and see Niall. He waves at me and pats the seat next to him. I smile and speed walk over to the seat.
"Hi ,Claire," He says with a smile.
"Hey," I reply.
"How's your day been?" He asks.
"Pretty boring and uneventful, despite Liam being really rude, as always," I tell him.
He laughs, "Liam is just a heartbreaker to girls and a bully to nerds."
"Then what is he to nerdy girls like me?" I ask.
He thinks, "I don't know...There really aren't many nerds here."
"This is an A+ school, though." I say.
"Well, there are smart people, but most people are popular on some level. The ones who aren't...well, they get stuck in the geek pool." he explains.
"Oh...That sucks..." I say.
"Yeah, it really does." He sighs.
The tardy bell rings and the class starts.
"Good Morning,Class. I have a favor of all of you. You are by far my smartest class, and I have chosen you all to tutor a student in this school with a reading disability, thing is, we have less disabled students than there are syudents in this class. Therefore, the 7 highest grades will participate in tutoring these students."

"I bet you'll make it," Niall whispers.
"You will," I whisper back.
He turns red. He's cute in a puppy-like, gentle way. The exact opposie of Liam. Liam is rude and snobby.
The teacher passes out the tests. This is simple, but that kind of scares me. Does that mean I'm not doing my best? Zooming through the test? Ugh, I worry way too much. I'm the first to turn my test in. The hour goes by as I anxiously awaiting...something. The results? The end of the class? I don't know.
Once class ends,Niall and I walk out together. We don't stay together for long, one of his friends calls him over as I get called over by Emma.
"I saw you talking to that blonde over there." She says with a smirk,"Hes cute in a nerdy way, not to mention buff, especially for a geek."
I roll my eyes, "He's just a friend, Ms.Payne."
"Well, Ms.Peters, I think you two would make the cutest foreign nerd couple at this school," She says.
"Since we are the only foreigners and the only geeks, I don't think we'd have much competition," I say and laugh.
She laughs, and says, "You should invite him to the party."
"Really...? He's not that close with Liam either, to put it nicely," I say.
"Well I will kick my brother out if he doesn't try to behave," She tells me.
"Alright," I reply, "I'll invite Niall"
We finally get over to our table, I see a new face there.
"Hey, Claire! I saved you a seat!" Louis says. He's really sweet.
I smile and sit next to him,"Hey Louis."
"Hi,need a ride home today?" he offers.

"Are you sure? You brought me home yesterday. I don't want to invade your privacy," I tell him.
'It's fine! I wouldn't mind bringing you home every day." He says.
"I'll think about it." I tell him.
He smiles, "Does that mean I'm your ride home tonight?"
"Sure, why not?" I say.
After lunch, I sluggishly head to woodshop. I don't like that class or Liam.
"Hello, love," Liam slurs... wait...
"Liam, are you drunk in class?" I ask.
"What do you mean, hottie?" He says, still slurring.
He tries kissing my neck, but the teacher catches him.
"MR.PAYNE!" He yells.
"Mr.Walters?" He slurs, again.
"Claire, could you please escort your drunken classmate to his fathers office?" Mr. Walters asks.
I nod, "Yes sir," And grab Liam by the wrist, then pull him out the classroom.
I let go of his wrist. "What are you thinking?!" I half yell at him once we get out the classroom.
He shrugs. I roll my eyes.
"Look, we need to get you to your dad," I say.
"No!" He says, tears starting to form in his eyes as he starts to yell. "You don't know what it's like to have a dad who puts his job before anything. You don't know what its like to have the expectations of a perfect son when there is nothing you get as a reward for it, not even acceptance. In fact, I bet you're Daddy's spoiled little princess who never has to study because her parents are so light on her. You're also so smart that you don't even have to worry about grades. You probably haven't had a bigger problem than you glasses breaking in your life."
"You couldn't be more wrong," I say, feeling the tears roll down my face and form in my eyes.
I grab Liam and pull him im the office, and slam the door. I can't believe what he just said... He couldn't be more wrong. I know what it feels like to have a dad that puts his job befor anything. When my dad is home, it's like I don't even exist. Avarie is the apple of his eye. My parents are NOT light on me. They expect me to have high grades, they expect me to be a perfect girl, they expect a lot from me. I run off and cry in the bathroom.A few hours later, I get a text.
emma wemma- where in the world are you?
I don't reply. I don't want to talk to anyone right now.
ashwee- Claire? Are you okay?
After a while, I hear someone enter the bathroom. I never thought he of all people would be looking for me.
"Claire? Its nearly eleven... Are you in here...?"

I've discovered I don't do well at that. I'm just writing this thing and we'll see where it takes us, OK? Nothing every came easy to Ryan Shakespeare, but as an elite British Army sniper he had found a niche that suited him, right up to the point at which he found himself summoned to a world far from his own to fulfil the job of a champion.
