"Thanks for the ride," I tell Louis as I get off his motorcycle.
"No problem, Claire," he says.
As I take my helmet off, Louis says, "Look, I'm really sorry about Payne. He's...complicated."
"I see," I tell him and hand him the helmet. He takes it and smiles.
"Maybe I could give you a ride every day?" He asks.
"Probably not," I say, "You're really nice, but I'm going to try to get my licence here, so I can drive myself. I apprecite the offer, though."
We exchange smiles,
"I better go," He tells me.
"Okay, Louis," I say, "Bye."
"Bye," he waves.
He rides off dowm the street. I walk in my house. It feels awkward calling this place home. To me, home is still my big city appartment in New York. The longest I've lived somewhere was my five years in New York.Thinking of New York, I text Whitney.

"Mostof the kids were very nice," I tell her.
"You think you'll want to stay?" she inquires.
I don't know... do I? Ashley and Emma seem pretty nice. So does Louis. Its just Liam. Calling him Payne sounds wrong. I don't know, I just prefer Liam. I don't mind Payne as a last name, but as a first, it feels weird.
"I'll think about it," I tell her.
"Alright,sweetie. Im going to call your father." She says.
"Tell him I say hi and I love him" I say.
She nods, and heads to her room. Avarie is already asleep. She had her first day of preschool today. I wonder how that went...
I make a salad for dinner,and eat it. My phone vibrates.

I open thw app and follow her back. Not long after,I get another notification,

I follow Ashley too.They add me in a DM.
"Hey!" Ashley sends.

We start talking about school and teachers, etc. All three of us exchange phone numbers. I add them in my phone as

I think they are going to end up being my closest friends at school. Both seem to be really nice, but were all different. Once i fifnish getting ready for bed, I get a text.
