"Excuse me?" I say in the nicest way possible, "You just stole my apple," I tell him aggervatedly.

"That won't be the only thing, darling," He winks.

"In your dreams," I tell him, denying his flirt.

"You know, I've never done a red head before. Or an American, and you're both." He smirks.

"Payne, stop. She's a friend of Emma's," Zayn says. That's the first time I've heard him speak.

Liam takes a bite of my apple, chews, and whispers in my ear, "Don't think I give up so easily."

Liam walks off with my apple. I sigh.

"I'm really sorry about my brother. He's always been... complicted. Honestly, though, I think you're the first girl to stand him up. Most girls are all over him." Emma says.

"I dont think it's right, the way he treats girls. He's also rude," I say.

"He's not too bad once you get to know him," Emma tells me, "but I'll excuse it since he treated you so harshly, he can really be mean at times."

"Thanks for keeping our promise," Ashley says.

"What promise?" Harry asks.

"I asked her to stay away from Payne," Ashley admits.

"Smart,"Emma says, "my brother is a pretty big womanizer, best to keep the new girl away from him."

"Wait," I say, "I thought this school didn't tolerate bullying."

"Well, my dad doesn't want to kick his son out of his own school, you see?" Emma starts, "My dad has always been trying to make Payne into his Trophy son. He wants him to be a straight A student, get involved in futbol, but Liam was an average student, and never took any interest in futbol, rather boxing. Once our mom died, Liam grew tired of my dad, his grades started dropping, he joined a boxing team, covered his arms in tattoos and started flirting with any girl he laid eyes on. Ashley is definately looking out for you. I love my brother, but I thi- No, I know it's best you stay away from him."

"Trust me, after the way he treated me, I'm not going to be saying a word to him any time soon," I tell her.

"Good," She says right as the lunch bell rings.

"See you guys later," I say.

•. •. •.

I walk into my woodshop class. Woodshop was NOT my choice. If I had it my way I'd be in Home Ec. My mom says, "Girls should know how to get their hands dirty."

The closest way I am a tomboy is my video games. Trust me, I dont want to take this class.

Once I walk into class I notice where the one empty seat is.

Kill.

Me.

Now.

"Hello, darling" I hear Liam's british accent flow.

"Why don't you give up? I'm not going to date you," I snap.

"It's all in the game, baby," He coos.

I roll my eyes and scoot away from him. I hear him chuckle. He's so annoying. I pull my glasses up. Yeah, I have glasses. Big whoop. I dont like the idea of poking somthing in my eye, okay?

The teacher introduces me to the class. This has happened all day today. I've recieved many questions about America and blah blah blah. The teacher tells us that today we should draw a design we would like to put on a shelf. I can't draw. How magnificent. I draw a simple flower. I look over to Liam. He seems really concentrated on what he's drawing, but he's not drawing on the certain paper. I see the paper he drew the design on. I peek at it. A dragon... It's insanely good. I have never seen a drawing this good in my life. I hear the slam of Liam's note pad, "what are you looking at?"He says coldly.

"S-Sorry..." I say.

He ignores my apology and packs his sketchbook... What else can he draw... what does he draw...

I want to know. I don't know why, but I want to know about what he draws. The bell rings for our next class and Liam storms out. Why is he so moody?

I grab my things. The rest of the school day is a blur. I'm about to get on the bus when I hear, "Hey, Claire!"

I turn to see another guy with tattoos covering his arms. His hair is brown and swept to the side. He has eyes a shade of ocean blue.

"Hey, I'm Louis. I was wondering if you'd like a ride home?" He asks. I see Liam leaning against a wall. I can't tell whether he's glaring at me, or Louis.

"Sure," I say and smile, "I have pepper spray if you try anything" I warn.

He laughs, "Don't worry. I'm not like Payne." He hands me a motorcycle helmet and I put it on. Louis puts his on. I can still see Liam glaring at us. We get on Louis's motorcycle.

"Hold on tight Freedom Chick," he jokes, as I put my arms around him for safety. I laugh, as I give him directions to my house.
