《Alaska: Queen of the Vampires》Chapter 35: The Future Is Ours

💕🙆🏻♀️
My eyes adjusted to the darkness as I looked around and tried examining the place I had been sleeping in. Ezekiel knocked me out before getting me here. Does Arian know I'm here? I jumped with a start once my eyes spotted Ezekiel sitting silently in a corner and observing me.
Sick fuck.
"I may be a sick fuck as you say but I did save your life twice, you know."
I frowned.
Had we met before?
"It was the night Adrian stabbed me because I tried forcing Milan to jump off the castle's highest level. So I stole Cara's soul back and hid her body to seek revenge from Adrian. The fight was between two brothers. He had no right to come in between," he hissed at me.
"Yes, it was between you two so you should not have dragged your brother's mate into it," I replied callously. He walked up to the bed where I was currently sitting and lifted up my chin so my eyes could meet his stormy gaze.
He had this delusional look that made me believe that he wasn't aware of how much he was ruining himself just to ruin others. It was kind of sad.
"I loved her and she betrayed me just as Arian betrayed you," he said softly; I barely caught on to it.
"Why didn't you tell her that you were in love with her? It's not fair to blame her for something she didn't know," I replied gently. He shook his head and smiled at me. The vulnerable look in his eyes was now replaced my malevolence.
"Milan may not have known but Arian knew, didn't he? He knew that he was your mate and yet he cheated on you. How does that make you feel? Another man who doesn't value you, Alaska. Another man."
I looked away. He wasn't wrong but this wasn't the time to play therapist. "What does your quest for revenge have to do with me?" I asked bitterly. Ezekiel sat beside me and shrugged. He then took a pen and paper from the table near by and began sketching something.
"You can say that it was my lucky day. I ran from Elliot's kingdom and landed straight into Arian's. As I was walking through the forest, the ambulance carrying you to the hospital passed by. You were on the verge of dying and since I'm as good as a doctor, I transferred Cara's soul into your body and Cara healed it for you. I must admit, I didn't expect you to live so that certainly was a good surprise."

"So why stay around? My father has enough of money to pay you off. It wasn't money that you wanted, was it?" I asked.
"No," he replied, still scribbling on the sheet in his hands, "It wasn't. You see, I figured you were Arian's mate so why ask for a few million when I could be King of the largest empire that has ever stood?"
Wow, history certainly isn't his strong suit. "Arian doesn't have the largest empire, Ezekiel. That would be," I told him. Arian had the fourth largest Vampire kingdom and Adrian had the second. Avian's was the fifth but he hadn't even ascended the throne yet.
"No it isn't. But Arian's kingdom merged with Adrian Lancaster's kingdom would definitely be the largest. Brilliant, isn't it? What ideas being trapped under the ocean for a century can give you. I suppose that credit will have to be given to my brother Elliot since he was the one who trapped me there." He chuckled. He handed me the paper on which stick figures of a girl and a boy holding hands were drawn. Underneath it, were two names.
"Sounds familiar?" Ezekiel asked tauntingly.
I shook my head reluctantly. Maddison was Arian's grandmother's name. The greatest Queen the empire had ever had. Who was Kais? Ezekiel sighed dramatically and snapped his fingers. A mirror appeared in front of us and our reflection morphed into two human figures, both nearly the same age.
My heart stopped beating when I took in their features.
The girl, Maddison had Arian's jet black hair and her eyes were a unique forest green. They were my eyes. The girl was wearing the ring I currently had on my right hand. The one that was a family heirloom.
"Your daughter has Arian's nose, doesn't she?" Ezekiel whispered loudly. I looked at him to see how amusing he found this entire thing. This was my daughter.
Arian's daughter.
Maddison.
I didn't dare consider whom the other boy was. He had my green eyes but there was something wrong. He looked nothing like Arian. I refused to think of his curly dark brown mane and deadly pale skin. Ezekiel was just messing with me. This has to be some sick joke. I refuse to accept any such reality.

"This isn't funny to me, you son of a bitch!" I shouted angrily.
He chuckled and snapped his fingers again, the mirror disappearing before my eyes. "You see, Alaska, you get your perfect marriage with Arian and have a beautiful baby girl but what's the fun in that, right?"
"Can you see the future?" I ask sceptically.
"Darling, I can change the future."
"To make your life more interesting, I end up challenging Arian and of course, yours truly wins. So skip to a few years later, you realise that you need to be queen in order for Arian's heir to take on the throne when the time comes so you marry me. I have to say for that you're the luckiest woman alive," he tells me.
"Well then I'd rather be dead!" I spat out angrily. I'd never do that to Arian or to myself!
Marry Ezekiel? Never in a million fucking years.
"We can discuss your death arrangements later. Now hush, let me continue. I take on Arian's empire and then plan a stealthy attack on Adrian which he will be unable to foresee and after that once I have the strongest vampire empire, I'll take down my brother's kingdom brick by brick, then burn my entire family to ashes and live happily ever after."
"That's quite quixotic, don't you think?" I snorted. For all of you who don't know what quixotic means, it is basically an idea that is extremely extravagant and idealistic but at the same time impractical and impossible.
"For me it isn't. Darling, you keep forgetting that I'm Ezekiel Gabriel. Nothing is impossible for me."
"I'm never going to cooperate with you Zeke so you might as well go fuck yourself," I told him. He sighed. "It's hard to get your tiny little human brain to understand what I'm capable of so I'm leaving. Here," he said, snapping his fingers as the mirror once again appeared, "You can talk to anyone's subconscious in this if you ever get bored of being a damsel in distress."
"Fuck you, Ezekiel Gabriel!" I shouted after he left.
"I heard that, young lady!" He called out.
Despite myself, I laughed.
I slumped into the bed. At least he'd given me a nice bed. The mirror in front of me continued swirling. Arian and the cadre can rescue me but they can't help Cara. Even Cara can't help Cara. "Who is strong enough to killed Ezekiel?" I asked myself.
The mirror swirled in answer.
"Mirror Mirror on the wa- umm air, who's the one that can kill Ezekiel?" Trust me, I know how ridiculous I sounded but if Ezekiel could survive for a century underwater, his stupid magic mirror surely had to have a few tricks up its sleeve.
A memory appeared in the mirror. Of me, Arian, Michaela and Milan sitting and drinking wine.
Well, that's embarrassing.
"Kill him with wine?" I asked stupidly. No answer.
"Okay jeez, show me someone that can tell me how to kill him," I grumbled.
The mirror swirled and a picture of an old man with long white hair appeared. He gave me the Albus Dumbledore vibes but he didn't seem all that nice. "Can you hear me?" I asked softly, praying to whatever gods were up there that Ezekiel wouldn't hear me. The man in the mirror looked at me and nodded. "Can you tell me how to kill Ezekiel Gabriel?"
Again, he nodded.
"Well?" I asked impatiently.
He smiled and the mirror went blank.
I have news for you guys! The third book of this series is up now.
It's called (yeah I couldn't find a better name lol).
Although its title includes witches, the book will mainly be based on WEREWOLVES so please give it a try! :)
Just like the other two books Alaska and Milan, Aurora is the name of a place. Sort of. In Australia, Aurora Place is a building and an aurora also refers to the northern/ southern lights.
