《Alaska: Queen of the Vampires》Chapter 32: You Seem So Familiar

"Noah?"

"Ally, I miss you," he whispered softly.

I sniffed as the tears bubbled in my eyes. I missed him so much. There was so much I had to tell him. So much he needed to know. "Noah, where are you? Are you alright? Do you know who took you? Did they hurt you? Have you been eating properly I don't k-"

"Ally, it's your dad," he said.

I frowned. I couldn't have heard him properly. He's probably delirious. "What did you say?" I asked staunchly.

"It's your dad and some other guy, Ally. I don't know who he is," Noah answered.

"Where are you? And why did they take you?" I ran to Detective Lockwood and told her to trace the call. A few other detectives started working on it and told me to keep talking.

"I-I don't know, Ally. I was snooping around your dad's office and he caught me. He thinks I know something about some scheme of his but I don't. It has something to do to you and since they kidnapped me I think it's bad. Ally it's so dark h-"

My battery died.

I screamed angrily and threw my phone on the nearest brick wall. I asked Detective Lockwood if she could pinpoint his location but she shook her head grimly. "We know that he's here in Blackwater but we couldn't get the minute details in such a short time," she said apologetically.

I sighed and left.

I called Avian as soon as I was out and told him to meet me at the castle. I reached in a few minutes and was let in without any questions. I wanted to laugh in the guards' faces and tell them that I'd never be their queen because their whore of a king was too busy kissing strangers.

Na na na na na na na na

'Til I find someone I love

I barged into Arian's office.

His eyes snapped up from his laptop screen and he rolled his eyes. I looked around to see that he was in a meeting. With my father. Just kill me already. My dad gave me a questioning look but didn't say anything.

"Women, I tell you," Arian said apologetically and excused himself. I clenched my jaw at his sexist comment but ignored him because he was probably just trying to spite me.

"Do you have feelings for me or is this just a booty call?" He asked as we walked to Avian's room.

"Bite me," I grumbled.

"Ass or tits?"

"Stop trying to provoke me!" I snapped.

"Say provoke one more time. Your mouth looks provocative when you do so," he teased with a childish grin.

My cheeks warmed and I looked away and kept my mouth shut until we reached Avian's room.

Avian shrieked in surprise.

He was naked as the day he was born.

I covered my eyes and shrieked in return. "I told you we were coming!" I heard Arian walking further into the room nonchalantly, leaving me standing like a fool at the door. "See, before entering a guy's room, your curl your fingers in a fist and then with slight force- KNOCK!" Avian grumbled.

Thinking he was done dressing, I uncovered my eyes and groaned when I saw that he was still unclothed. Arian was slouching on the bed and going through a magazine.

"Why are you covering your eyes? Do you think I'm ugly? I'm confident that I'm not small, you know," the red haired idiot blabbered, "Your mate, here, is just like half an inch bigger than m-"

"PUT THE FUCKING TOWEL ON AND GET DRESSED BEFORE I CASTRATE YOU!" Arian snapped irritatedly.

"," Avian grumbled.

As Avian disappeared into his walk-in closet to get dressed, Michaela walked in looking happy as ever. I looked at Arian exasperatedly as if to ask if it was necessary to have her here and he shrugged smugly. Arian and Michaela began talking while I walked over to the balcony and sat on one of the chairs.

"Hurry up!" I called out to Avian.

"I can't find a jacket that goes with this shirt!" He yelled back.

Never mind then.

I poured myself a glass of water with some ice cubes and grinned at the glass. Noah and I always did this when we were kids. Ice cubes were floating on the surface of the water. I glanced at Arian to see whether he was looking at me but thankfully, he wasn't.

I put my tongue into the water and tried catching the ice cubes with my tongue. I managed to catch one and just as I was about to put it in my mouth, I was interrupted.

"What are you doing?" Arian asked.

My cheeks turned scarlet red. I grinned sheepishly.

"You don't do it?" I laughed nervously.

I silently prayed for Avian to come out soon but obviously the world would doom me to be faced with endless embarrassment. Arian rolled his eyes and said no but I saw the slight tug of his lips as he tried not to smile. At least there's still some part of humanity that I can see in him.

"You're weird," he muttered when I tried doing it again.

A few moments later, Avian came out wearing blue jeans with a basic white shirt. Of course, he'd waste all that time searching for something to wear but end up wearing his usual clothes. He sat down next to me and signalled me to start.

"I'm being possessed by Adrian's mate."

Arian's eyes snapped to mine and his eyes turned a shady darker. "Repeat that for me," he said softly. I repeated it and he sighed and turned to look at Michaela who pursed her lips. Well, I expected a better reaction but alright.

"For how long?" She asked.

"I don't know for sure," I replied. And then I told them all about my accident a few months back, how I miraculously came back to life and how I saw Cara's reflection in the water when I was with Zeke, Noah contacting me and telling me I was in danger.

"Who's Zeke?" Arian asked.

"You sure have your priorities right," Avian murmured with a chuckle.

"I met him at a coffee shop. The day my car crashed and you had to come get me. He's also my dad's business partner," I told Arian. He frowned as he looked out of the window in deep thought.

"And you saw Cara when you were with this Zeke guy?" He asked.

"Yeah, so?"

"Connect the dots, smart ass," Arian taunted.

I thought about it but nothing really clicked except for the fact that I was miserably hoping that what I detected in Arian's tone was jealousy.

"You always liked them dumb," Michaela told Arian. I glared at her but she just grinned in return without apologising for being a bitch for no reason. "Zeke is the common factor for all three incidents, Alaska. That's our theory. You met him the day your car crashed. He was with you when you saw Cara's reflection. Maybe he has something to do with all of this."

"But Zeke is nice," I insisted.

"All boys seem nice at the beginning, sweetheart," Michaela said, "He won't seem so nice when he breaks your heart and leaves you feeling like trash."

"You speak like you've had your fair share of guys," I replied trying not to mock her.

"More than that," she replied.

"You girls can have a slumber party and diss boys all you want later on," Arian said tauntingly. "Describe Zeke to me."

"He's pretty tall. Your height maybe," I told him, "he's got deep blue eyes, slightly tanned skin and dark brown hair. He has a tattoo of an anchor on his right forearm and he seems really intelligent."

"That's just perfect," Arian said cheerily.

It wasn't jealousy.

"That's the description of a Gabriel," Michaela told me.

Gabriel.

That's the family of Milan's husband, I think. Elliot Gabriel, King of the Werewolves.

Avian showed me a picture of a family portrait that seemed to be centuries old. It had three boys and one girl. The Gabriel Siblings. "That's Eleanor Gabriel," Avian said, pointing to the beautiful brunette. "Next to her is Elliot Gabriel, the Werewolf King. Beside him is the youngest of them all, Ethan. And that is-"

"Ezekiel," I cursed, "Ezekiel Gabriel."

I don't understand.

Zeke is The Ezekiel Gabriel.

The Harbinger of Death.

The seven deadly sins in one immortal body.

I was friends with him.

"Why me?" I asked. The others shrugged and they seemed as clueless as I was. Arian looked at me and smirked. "Clearly it's not because you're pretty."

I threw a pillow at him irritatedly. Ezekiel's just another guy to add to my list of guys that are assholes. Arian is in the lead as of now. "Maybe Noah knew something," Avian suggested.

"That's a dead-end. The call couldn't be tracked and," I looked at Michaela, "you said someone powerful used a cloaking spell on him which makes it impossible to locate Noah."

"That's because we didn't know who did it. Now we know so it will be possible if we have the blood of the person who cast the spell," Michaela replied.

"You want a Gabriel here?" Arian asked.

"The youngest one's blood will be the purest so you know who it is that I really want," Michaela grinned at Arian.

"Tristan is just a five year old kid. I doubt Milan will let any of us use him as a blood-bag," Avian pointed out.

"Leave that to me, cousin."

"Who's Tristan, now?" I asked confusedly. Too many names to remember.

"Elliot and Milan's son," Arian grumbled, "He's quite a nuisance if you ask me."
