《My Deadliest Secret {COMPLETED}》Chapter 12

I walked into my first period class. Jayy wasn't there but Mrs. Waggle was. I sat in my normal seat. No one sat next to me since Jayy usually did. Jinx didn't have the same classes as me. Mrs. Waggle told the class to take our books out and read.
A few minutes later, the classroom door slammed open. Everyone jumped. It was Jayy. "Sorry I'm late. I forgot to set my alarm." Mrs. Waggle pointed to the seat next to me. Jayy slowly sat next to me. He got out a book and started to read. It seemed like Jayy just threw random clothes on. They didn't seem to match at all. He was wearing a red BMTH shirt with orange skinny jeans and pink converse. I looked at him with crazy eyes. "What?" he whispered. Then he looked at his clothes. "oh."
Next periods came and so did lunch. Jayy seemed shy when the teacher said we had to talk with our partners. We walked to lunch togather. Jayy and I grabbed our lunch and sat. "I'm not hungry," We said at the same time. Jayy's cheeks turned a light pink. I saw Jinx sitting alone.
"Is it ok if I bring Jinx over to our table?" I asked Jayy.
"I don't like Jinx very much. He's weird. People say he's bad news. He smokes, does drugs, and drinks. Sometimes he sleeps around."
"You smoke," I pointed out. "And I've talked to Jinx before. He's not a bad person. He reminds me of you in a way... Maybe he's like the darker version of you."
Jayy's eyes opened wide. "I'm not that pale!"
"I wasn't talking about your skin!"
"oh..."
I dragged Jayy to a table where Jinx was sitting. He looked up timidly, "Sup."
I sat down. Jayy didn't, so I pushed him down. "hi Jinx." I smiled. Jinx smiled back, but Jayy seemed like he didn't care. "Are we still gonna hang out after school?" I asked.
"Sure... Are you coming with us, Jayy?" Jayy gave me a curious look. I shrugged.
"No thanks.... I have to babysit..." I knew Jayy was lying.
The bell rang. We got up and walked to our next class.

8 242The Crows and the Plague
As the Black Death ravages Medieval Europe, the ominous Plague Doctors (commonly called "Crows") may be the only thing standing between Christendom and extinction. There is no cure for the Plague, so all the Crows can do is stop the spread of the disease, even as the monstrous Vermin seek to spread it on purpose. But not everyone understands just how necessary the Crows and their often brutal methods really are. .............................................................................. This story is an alternate history/low fantasy story taking place in Medieval Europe. Rather than elves, goblins, and orcs, the fantasy elements in this story are generally things people in the Medieval era would have actually believed in, some exaggerated just a bit more for flavor.#thecrowsandtheplague
