《My Deadliest Secret {COMPLETED}》Chapter 7

on the side is a pic of Corey as Jinx ^-^
I woke up the next day tired. I didn't want to wake up for school. I wanted to sleep in all day, but if I didn't go, I wouldn't be able to talk to Jayy. I yawned and got up out of bed. I grabbed some black jeans and a plain navy blue shirt. Changed into the clothes. I looked at myself in the mirror. I didn't like the way I looked. I felt fat. My pants felt a little loose, but a little wasn't enough. I couldn't wait to lose more weight. I realized I haven't weighed myself. Maybe I'd weigh myself after exercising tonight. I putted on the bracelet Jayy bought me.
I don't think Jayy would take me to school, since I slapped him. So I walked instead. When I got to school the first person I saw was Jinx. His real name is Kendle People called him Jinx because he was bad luck. He seemed like a good kid to me the only thing that got him in trouble was because he was clumsy. His clumsiness was like bad luck in other words.
" Hey, Kendle." I smiled. I don't know why. Jinx always looks sad. I thought maybe he'd at least look happy if someone was nice to him. He was kind of a loner. Like me. Sort of. "Hey, Violet." he smiled and ran a hand through his black hair. He hid his eyes with his hair. Great.
"Have you've seen Jayy?" I asked.
"Yeah. I saw him a second ago. He went that way." he pointed to a hall where the lockers were.
"Thanks Kendle."
"You can call me Jinx."
"Uh... You like being called Jinx?"

He looked down and shrugged. "Not really."
" than why do you want me to call you Jinx?" I smiled.
He smiled back. " I dunno. I'm not use to people.... Kendle." his smile wiped off his face. He quickly looked disgusted. I gave him a confused look. "it was my father's name." he said.
" I understand. I gotta go before the bell rings." he nodded.
I walked down the halls. I found Jayy looking through his locker for his homework. "Jayy," I called as I walked towards him. He closed his locker and at me. He looked scared or shocked. I'm not very good at reading people.
" uh... Hello Violet." he stared at my bracelet. He backed away a little. "Jayy, before you trying escaping from me. I'm sorry. I don't know why hit or swore. I won't do it again. Okay?"
" ok. I guess I'm sorry for making you eat."
I raised an eyebrow. " you guess?"
" I thought about it. I don't if I can trust you anymore. If you really do eat, you wouldn't of argued with me like that and you wouldn't of slapped me."
"Jayy, your being a bitch. If you were a true friend you would believe me."
He took steps closer so he was only a foot away. "Your a hypocrit," he whispered, he didn't want to catch people's attention. " We both know you're lying."
" You think I starve myself?"
" You don't eat like you use to." before I could say anything else the bell rang. I walked to class without talking to Jayy. I'd talk to him at lunch.
Lunch came. Jayy rushed out of the class room, probably trying to dodge me. I walked into the cafeteria. I waited for Jayy to get his salad. I sat at a table. I looked at Jayy. Our eyes locked. He got his salad and walked towards me. "Okay. Your not eating. Exactly how is that gonna make me believe you?" I ignored him. I looked behind him and saw Jinx. He noticed me and smiled. I smiled back. Jayy saw me smile and turned around to look at Jinx.

Jayy had a strange look in his eyes. "What?" I asked.
" you like Jinx? If you do, go sit with him." he ate some salad.
" Your trying to get rid of me?"
"Nope. If you don't tell me what's really going on with you than you can leave with your new boyfriend."
I wasn't gonna tell him the truth. " Jinx is just my friend." ok so that wasn't a lie. "Diet," I said. " You eat less when your on a diet." he narrowed his eyes. " You seem not to eat at all."
I felt like I was gonna explode. "Jayy," maybe I should tell half the truth. " I don't starve myself." never mind. " I.... Uh... People make fun of me when your not around." that wasn't a lie.
"Who?" he asked. Jayy wasn't very strong, but he acted tuff. " I dunno know." that was another lie but I didn't want to be a snitch.
"okay. Maybe I won't leave."
"What if you have to pee?" Jayy had a weak bladder.
" I'll piss in my pants." I giggled. " do you have to go right now?" he looked nervouse. " noooooo...."
" Just go. I'll be ok."
He left. Jinx walked passed by me. He smiled again. I grinned. Jayy came out of the boy's room. The bell rang. " OMG! Let's go to class before we're late!" Jayy grabbed my arm and dragged me to class. I guess I was wrong. He grabbed my arm pretty hard.

Polyrhythm Time -- A Bard's Tail
Have you ever met someone who loves what they do so much that they'll skip sleep, food, love and safety to pursue it? What happens if that kind of person encounters a different dimension, yet holds on to their love of music, and specifically of rock drumming. When the world ended at the end of 2057, Kevin Snackenbridge slept through it. He'd been drumming all night. tl;dr-- System eats world -- Monsters and magic ---- LitRpg -- Practice, not levels and stats ---- MC Bard -- support class -- low power ---- MC chooses music over survival skills --tl;dr Kevin trips into the Internal Strength Dimension where Thaumaturgy is king. With the help of a talking plant and several vicious monkeys he learns that the rule is "Change or die." Kevin changes, but remains firmly a drummer/Bard in this high fantasy setting. This is Kevin's adventure, and that of the friends he meets. Kevin has the soul of a real musician. He loves music, specifically rhythm and drumming, and would give his left nut if it would help him drum better. He's a rock drummer, and his language is that of a rock drummer: slanged, duded, and frequently laced with profanity. He focuses on music, and makes decisions that even the author doesn't approve of. However, that means all his decisions are Kevin's decisions, not those of a system-optimizing power-gamer. There's points (All of Arc 2) where he wanders aimlessly. Goals seem foreign to him at points. What would you do if you were a musician, and the world fell apart and you no longer had an audience or band-mates. You'd be kinda lost. Kevin is. Arc 2 is a lot of Kevin not knowing what to do, going with the flow, and not being articulate enough to know that he doesn't know what to do. 1. System Only Gives Me Useless Gifts
Li Yun grew up with a system that gave him useless gifts. He wanted a reward that could prove the existence of the system, but ended up with abstract gifts like culture. Without physical proof, he was stuck wondering whether his mind was truly sane, all the while dealing with the reality of life. How will the "useless" system help Li Yun navigate medical school, hospital politics, criminal cases, treasure hunting, farming and cooking? Author's Note: This is a slice-of-life novel about a doctor with a mission-type system. It's written as a faux modern Chinese novel, so there are many 1-off characters and episodic mini arcs. Just a bit of warning, the tone of the story is very different after the childhood arc and jumpy as it chronicles Li Yun's life. I'm trying to make it less apparent in the rewrite, but there are still a lot of time skips. RR is the rewrite version, no set schedule. See webnovel for OG. scribblehub is a combo of both . I recommend scribblehub since it has pictures. Copyrights of the novel and cover are owned by Chocomug. Novel is free to read and download for personal use, such as offline reading, only.
