《Nightwalker》Chapter Fifty-Three

Vaden's POV (until otherwise)
So much... there was so much, it was amazing, it was brilliant, stunning, delicious... so much blood.
I couldn't stop smiling. It was extraordinary and so much fun. I could feel qoy was also having the time of his life. The power seeping off of the black blade and into me was overflowing from inside me to form a black haze around me like a constant shadow.
I stood on the dead Orc feeling the mana drain from it and into the earth around it, joining all the others. I looked up to the camp in front of me still with that smile that hasn't left my face yet and felt that it was very fitting that the tents were on fire. I felt like I was bring the fiery underworld to this usually calm and happy realm. It was beautiful, a piece of art.
I took everything in with delight until someone stepped forward. It felt like I was hit by something unbelievably heavy right in the chest. I was having difficulty breathing but I tried not to show it, keeping my smile on my face like nothing was happening... but those eyes. It was those silver eyes that haunted me every time I close my eyes even for a moment.
Why were they here and why was it affecting me so strongly?
I could feel my body trembling making me clench my hand around qoy even tighter, till no blood could flow through my fingers. I looked into those silver eyes trying to come off as indifferent while something inside my mind was savagely trying to get loose. I didn't like. I didn't like the feeling of knowing something but unable to grasp what it was and why it was causing such pain in my chest, specifically my heart.
I could feel my heart pumping faster than the sight of blood could ever cause. Excitement ran through me and it had nothing to do with wanting to see her dead. Who was this person to be able to cause such a reaction out of me when nothing but the feeling of killing something could almost get the same reaction. Those two reasons were completely different yet they both make me feel euphoric.
Master Enrique is not going to like this, not at all.
She stepped forward again making my smile falter because the closer she got the more I was feeling my blood lust fading and that was very very dangerous. If I don't kill these fairies, Master Enrique will surely put me in the cell for more than three days.
"Vaden."
Oh great Master... her voice! Shivers run up my spine. What is happening to me? Why is this woman affecting me like this? In my four hundred years I've never felt like this before, this has never happened before!
As nonchalant as I could I placed my weight onto my left leg and tilted my head curiously keeping my smile on my face, unable to look away from those gorgeous silver gems.
"What are you talking about darling?" I asked glad that my voice came out as uncaring as I wanted it to. I nearly hissed in pain as my chest constricted and whatever was in my mind trying to get out was really putting up a fight to get out but whatever was holding it back was doing its job. I then realised that she was crying. Tears fell from reddening eyes and seeing them wasn't causing the usual excitement the sight of my victims crying usually does.
"You... you're Vaden." The woman told me and I laughed all the while a headache was forming in the back of my skull annoying me.

"Sorry darling but I don't have a name unless Master Enrique gives me one." I shook my head at her.
"He is not your Master!" I felt myself shift my weight ready to take a step back from the ferocious shout. If I was anybody else, I might have cowered at the venom this stunning creature had in her voice as she spat out the words.
"What are you talking about deary?" I chuckled tilting my head to the other side while fixing my weight to my other foot as I started swinging qoy around acting like I was bored. "I've been in his servitude since he made me."
I raised my eyebrows as aroused heat ran through me at the sound of her growl. "Well I'll be damn. I don't think I've ever heard something as sexy as that before." I chuckled happily, an excitement of a different kind running through me.
"For one! He's the one that killed your parents and would have killed you too! And secondly! It was Aviva who Made you and saved your life!" Silver eyes growled out looking angry, which is definitely something to witness.
"Darling, I don't even know who you are or who this Aviva lady is." I rolled my eyes at her. "Now I do believe we're wasting time just standing around spouting fake stories. I have a job to do and if I don't complete it I'm going to get into trouble... but... I think Master won't mind me keeping a little toy to play with for later on." I grinned at silver eyes.
"I won't let you hurt anyone Vaden and I'm not lying!" She huffed, angry tears running down her face that were seriously bugging me.
"And what? You're going to stop me darling?" I asked her with a smirk feeling the dark mana inside and around me become denser and more excited.
She pulled out a black hunting knife from a sheath at her lower back and held it up against me. I laughed at the sight of her shaking. Her eyes were serious and determined but her body was trembling and the knife she wielded was swaying.
"I don't want to, I really really don't want to, but if I have to..." She sucked in a trembling breath and her trembling suddenly stopped. "I will kill you Vaden."
I grinned while flashing my fangs excitement blooming within me like I've never felt before. This is going to be fun. "Let's see you try deary." I laughed before rushing forward fast enough that the world before me blurred for a second.
I wasn't going to kill her because I want her as my toy, but bleeding her out and maiming her a little won't be too bad I think. So I aimed qoy at her arms wanting to cut her up a little bit.
I was happily surprised when bright silver eyes met mine and her little hunting knife was moved to block my attack with incredible accuracy.
"I might not be a fighter, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to." She growled at me with her fangs poking through.
I leapt back while laughing. I felt like dancing so I started to sway and turn around happily, the excitement running through me an incredible feeling. I twirled happily before stopping and pointing qoy at her. "You, my dear, are making my heart beat like nothing else ever has." I grinned at her.
I swung qoy around before going in for an attack. I wasn't going my full speed so I was easily blocked and my attacks dodged but I was having too much fun to care. It felt like we were dancing and whatever was trying to get through the wall in my mind was even calming slightly like it was liking this too. So I continued this dance until I was surprised by a boot to the chest sending me backwards. I fell onto my back and started cackling away on the ground.

"I wasn't expecting that!" I laughed still on the ground as I rubbed my chest were she had hit me.
"Can you stop playing around!" Silver eyes shouted sounding annoyed.
I sat up and grinned at her. "But this is fun." I pouted before laughing again. "The Orcs never put up such a good fight like this! I mean! You even managed to hit me! Me! Yeah I wasn't going my full speed or strength but still... I'm impressed. You're definitely going to be a fun toy to play with."
"I'm not a toy." Silver eyes hissed at me with a glare. She seems to be angry about something else other than me playing with her... I wonder what about though.
"Why are you so angry darling? Are you not a Nightwalker too? Should you not be as excited as I am to see such an amount of death and blood?" I asked her curiously while standing up and tilting my head.
"I'm angry because of what that monster has done to you! You... whoever you are, whatever you are doesn't belong in that body!" She growled at me looking just as upset as she was angry. "I want my Vaden back! This monster, this evil you are isn't Vaden. But I know, I have to believe, that my Vaden is still inside you somewhere and I'm going to do my damnedest to get her back!"
I shook my head at her feeling slightly exasperated. "I'm telling you, darling, I'm not this Vaden you believe me to be. Plus, are we not all monsters? Are we not all evil? We were created by the Master to be used for his evil plans in the mortal realm. We are all demons of his creation, which makes us as evil and vile as them."
She shook her head. "Not all of us are like that. You're not like that, Vaden isn't like that... we're not demons because we were human to start off with, we still have those human traits of compassion and love. We wouldn't have Mates if we aren't able to feel love."
I froze at her words shock causing through my body, because she was right and whatever was fighting within my mind was able to create a crack in the wall that was blocking it. Emotions I didn't know I had seeped from the gap. It was feral and dangerous but with a pureness that completely contrasted against the darkness within me.
Obey your Master. Kill the fairies and anyone who opposes you. Kill everything in this realm. Obey your Master. Do NOT disobey!
Searing pain spread throughout my body sending me to my knees. It was the same pain from my time in the cell. I grabbed at my head from it and whatever emotion from the crack slithered back behind the wall.
The pain ceased allowing me to breath out a sigh of relief.
"Vaden! Are you okay?" I reeled back in shock having not noticed that silver eyes had gotten so close during my lapse in conditioning. I had qoy in my hand in a matter of milliseconds and launched the blade towards her throat no longer wishing her alive if she was going to make me break Master Enrique's conditioning. Such pain is inconceivable and cannot be explained in words. So if killing this woman meant that I'll never try and breach conditioning again... so be it.
Sadly, she managed to get out of the way mere moments before I'd have decapitated her.
"Back off." I growled at her, incredibly angry now from what I just had to go through because of her. I stood up unsteadily since the pain really messed with my head. I pointed qoy at her as I took a deep breath in to calm my heart beat. "I've changed my mind. I'm going to kill you."
"You can try, but we won't allow you to." A different voice answered as a wolf and three other women stepped forward. A woman that looked almost exactly like silver eyes besides for having straighter hair and gold eyes, walked to stand beside silver eyes with a stoic look on her face.
"And what?" I asked with a vicious grin showing all my sharpened teeth at her. "You and your pathetic fairy army will stop me?" I was angry and was getting bored with the talking, so I tapped into the dark mana all around me.
Slowly a black form started to appear beside me as the mana seeped out of my skin. I watched their eyes widen in shock at the sight of the black mana forming four replications of myself, blood soaked skin and all, right beside me. Another thing I learnt while in the Orc camp. Surprisingly, the Orcs that could use magicks and mana were pretty smart in their uses of their gift Master Enrique gave them. Though I still don't understand how he did that. I shrugged at my thoughts, not my problem or business.
I raked a hand through my sticky hair and looked at those in front of me who thought they could get in my way of completing my orders. "Now... shall we finish this pathetic farce?" I asked them as my replications spread out while chuckling darkly.
Then the fighting started.
The observing fairies had to run into the forests because of the amount of space the fights were taking up. I stood back and watched my replications rush forward going one on one with those who appeared beside silver eyes. She stood back as well not looking away from me, from what I could see when I glanced at her. She looked sad at the sight of the fighting, like she didn't want anything like this to happen.
"You need to stop this Vaden." She pleaded at me making me roll my eyes in annoyance.
"Sorry darling but I have orders to complete and a blood hungry artefact that needs feeding, not to mention I'm quite enjoying myself a the moment." I grinned at her.
"So you're okay with killing your friends? Your family?" She asked while gritting her teeth together. The grip on her little hunting knife was turning white in the knuckles telling me that she was either seriously upset or completely pissed off. Not that I care.
"I don't have friends dear, nor do I have a family. Master Enrique saved me from having such pathetic things." I rolled my eyes.
"Saved you?" She gasped like she couldn't understand what I was talking about. "How could that monster save you when he's the one destroying you in the first place?"
I just shook my head at her not seeing how she couldn't understand. "Sorry darling but I'm getting bored just standing around talking and going around in circles with you... so how about we join in the fun and I can get a taste of your delicious smelling blood?"
"We'll see." She replied challengingly, which just excited me more.
Grinning I ran at her ready to see how this was all going to end. Either with this silver eyed beauty in my grip with her blood spilling into my mouth or impossibly, me dead and the realm safe... hah, yeah right.
Sword against hunting knife. She was faster and stronger than I was expecting and quite skilled all round, but still, she was no match for me. She was able to parry most of my strikes but not fast enough that I my blade was able to knick her skin sending the scent of her blood into the air. It was delicious and I was having a hard time to not become distracted by it.
My head was thumping because of whatever the wall in my mind was blocking was really having a go at escaping and it was really adding to my annoyance.
I was shocked when a rush of mana suddenly came back to me telling me that one of my replications was destroyed. I turned to see silver eyes sister managed to decapitate it making it start to crumble into black dust. I was highly impressed.
"Well it seems like I need to do something a bit more extravagant do distract you for now." I laughed and jumped away just as silver eyes tried to stab me in the back making me tut at her in disappointment. "That wasn't very nice my dear. Anyway... here we go, another something something I learnt from those Orcs."
I stabbed qoy into the dirt that he stayed upright while I rolled my wrists, getting ready to do something I actually haven't done before but have seen how it's done. "Memziri silak Idrik rhoa assolat! (I call forth the Master's beast to command)"
I pulled in as much dark mana as I could while black markings slithered over the ground from under my feet to form mana ruins that glowed faintly. I pushed all the dark mana into those ruins making the ground shake while a name came to mind.
I grinned at the shocked pair as I finished the summoning. "You shall do my bidding Zhavorsa! (Dragon)"
The ground cracked with a massive sound like thunder and lightning and a great roar echoed out from within the cratered earth. Giddiness filled me as the sound of wings flapping came up from within the earth. Let's see if they can kill this great beast then.
My grin fell and disbelief filled me. "You have got to be kidding me?" I whispered followed by a great sigh. "What a disappointment..."
What came out of the large crack in the earth, which was the size, maybe even bigger, than the estate back in the mortal realm, was a tiny black and red lizard type thing with bat-like wings no bigger than my head! Now I look like a fool.
"Who called for the great Khal Zhavorsa!" The little dragon squeaked sounding like a puppy trying to be fierce.
I felt mortified! Silver eyes was even giggling! When did this become such a big joke?
"That would be me." I drawled out not bothering to hide my annoyance.
The little thing flapped its way over to me, looking like it was struggling, until it hovered right in front of my face. Its red eyes looked me over scrutinisingly while a pink forked tongue slithered out of its mouth and laved over his scaly nose.
"You smell like Orc and dark magicks." He said.
"That would be because I've been stuck in a orc camp and am covered in orc blood." I told him boredly. "So since you're a great zhavorsa that I summoned, are you gonna do as I say?"
The little thing scoffed at me making me glare at it. "If I must, little girl. Though I'm surprised such a weak little thing like you that has half her mind trapped by someone else was able to summon me... me of all creatures!"
I growled lowly but felt the connection between us and could see the thin gold thread that bound us together and sent a spark of pain down it to him. He yelped like a kicked puppy before glaring at me more with fire in his eyes. I picked qoy up from the ground and stared back at the dragon with nonchalance.
"Enough with the attitude pipsqueak and do as you're told. Kill as many fairies and any one else as you can while I finish off these people."
"Who are you calling a pipsqueak, you ignorant little-!" The dragon raged before cutting himself off at the sight of qoy in my hands. "Humph, to think a weakling like you could control something like that. Whatever, I'll do as I'm told this time, but I won't allow you to summon me again, silly little girl."
I just rolled my eyes. "Whatever, just get on with it."
He flew up into the air over the burning camp and my fighting replications, who had stopped only for a second when the ground cracked before starting up again, and I was impressed by the amount of mana I felt well up within him before it came out of his mouth as a giant fireball, incinerating everything that it hit.
"Well now, that's more like it." I smiled at the sisters who were now staring up at the little powerful dragon in awe. "Let's finally finish this."
