Chapter 7: "Ew. Brahms"
//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\
I was met with someone's chest. they were wearing a ripped white t-shirt that had stains on it.
I slowly backed away from their chest and looked up to see who it was.
'ew. brahms.' i thought to myself.
he stared at me through his mask. his eyes held nothing. that low key scared me a little.
i started to back up slowly. once i saw he wasn't taking any steps foward i bolted to my room.
when i got to my door i turned around to see him down the hall, still at that same spot. i didn't hesitate any longer before opening my door and slamming it shut, making sure to lock it.
i sighed before flicking my light switch on. i started to walks towards my bed but stopped.
I didn't turn my lights off.
i looked around my room and saw a tall, very very tall, dark figure in the corner.
'i hate the feeling of deja vu.' i said in my mind.
the figure started to slowly walk towards me, making me slowly walk backwards.
they sped up.
i sped up.
they became faster.
i ran to my door and tried to open it, but it was locked.
i didn't dare to look back as i unlocked it and bolted down the hallway. i headed for jessi's room again, running faster as i heard loud footsteps chasing behind me. once i finally arrived at my destination i tried opening her door but it was locked.
i didn't have enough time to knock on it because i was grabbed from behind. they put their hand over my mouth and started to walk back down the hall. i was kicking and screaming, but they couldn't be heard.
they were about to take me downstairs, but before they could i tried a move i saw on the avengers, and it worked. i didn't care to see who it was as they tumbled down the steps.
i ran down the hall and knocked on the first door i saw.
i door swung open and i quickly entered the room, pushing the person out of the way and slamming the door shut, locking it again.
i was breathing so heavy.

"would you like to explain what's going on." a voice said, scaring me even more.
i turned around and was face to face with the one and only,
Billy Loomis.
"well are you gonna answer my question?"
"yeah...no." i said. "you don't need to worry bout all that. all you have to do is protect me from the big scary monster that was chasing me down the hallway and is now probably looking for me!"
"everything you just said went in one ear and out the other." he blinked. i rolled my eyes and sighed. "and what 'big scary monster'?"
"bro, i really don't feel like explain allat right now." i rubbed my head and plopped down on his bed, which was way more comfortable than mine btw.
"either you tell me what's going on," he unlocks the door, "or you leave. simple." he was about to open the door before i jumped up and ran towards him, slamming it shut and locking it.
"fine."
i gave in and told him everything.
after i was done we sat in silence.
"so...do you have any idea who it could be?" i broke the silence. he stood there thinking i assume.
"did you see their face?" he asks.
"oh yeah, that's important huh. so about that, you know, in movies when the lead girl looks back at the monster instead of keeping their eyes forward, the monster somehow gets faster and catches the girl, killing them. unlike those girls, i'm not dumb. so i didn't really get to see their face..." i trailed off.
he stared at me with a blank expression. he opened his mouth to speak i saw a red ballon float behind him.
there's only one person i think about when i see a red ballon.
"pennywise." i whispered. Billy looked at me confused and turned around to see what i was looking at. he saw the ballon and backed up infront of me, like a shield.
"grab my phone." he said to me. i turned around and grabbed his phone off the stand. "now call jessi." i did what i was told. as it was ringing the ballon popped. we both stood there frozen.

i felt a hand on my shoulder.
'hello?'
i turned around and saw him towering over me. i screamed which caused Billy to turn around.
'was that y/n? what's going on!" Jessi said through the phone.
Billy grabbed me and pulled me towards the door, unlocking it and running out of the room.
i turned around to see him gone.
'hello??? is anyone gonna answer me?' billy grabbed the phone out of my hand.
"he's out." Billy said, unlocking Jessi's room door. where and when did he even grab a key? he pulled me in the room and shut the door, locking it.
'who's out? be more specific.'
"Pennywise." she went silent.
Billy walked over to the closet and went in, leaving me in the room alone.
i sat on her bed scared out of my mind. i turned on the tv and put on spongebob to try and calm me down. did i it work? barely.
after a few minutes Billy still haven't returned, and i was becoming even more scared. how deep is her closet for you to get lost in it?
'the krusty krab pizza, is the pizza for you and me.'
my eyes averted back to the door. the knob started twisting.
as i was getting up to run in the closet and find billy, he walked out of the room and towards the door, unlocking it.
before i could say anything he opened it.
all of the other slashers walked into the room, along with jessi.
she shut the door behind her and locked it.
"that was something!" she sighed. "everyone in the closet." they did as told. "you too y/n."
i got up from the bed and followed everyone in the closet. Jessi came in last, making sure to shut and lock the door behind her. she pushed passed everyone to get to the back of the closet.
i spotted Carrie and went over to her. "what's going on?" i asked.
"this happens like every month, same time and date. pennywise breaks out of his cage and try's to eat one of the younger ones, be being one of them." she explains.
"so he tried to...eat..me?" i questioned in fear.
"wait, he came after you?"
"yeah."
"that must've been scary. i remember the first time he came for me. if it weren't for my powers i'd probably be dead right now."
everyone started walking but i stood there frozen. Carrie noticed this and grabbed my arm and pulling me with them.
we entered another hallway, except this one looked more comforting. Jessi was behind us and closed the metal door with her phone, making sure to lock it.
"how long is this hallway?" i asked after a couple minute of walking. "we're almost there." Carrie answered.
after about 2 more minutes we finally arrived to another metal door. we all entered after Jessi unlocked it and opened it.
a set of stairs.
"ain't no way." i whispered to myself.
"what are you waiting for? go." Jessi chuckled when she saw my face.
i started to walk down the stairs, Jessi following after closing and locking the door.
at the end of the steps, you guessed it, another door.
Jessi unlocked it and we all walked in. Everyone went their separate ways.
Jessi walked up to me, "we have an extra room but it's empty, so you'll have to stay in my room. we're gonna be down here for about a week until they can get him back in his cage. let's go." i followed her down another hallway to her other room.
"what is this place?" i asked.
"it's like an extra house that we come to whenever someone gets too out of control." she answered as we entered her room.
"not sure why i have two beds, but i do. you can sleep on that one." she pointed to the one of the left side of the room. "i'm gonna go take a shower. no need to be paranoid here, no one can harm you. except Freddy, but, i don't think he has the energy to do anything." she left the room.
'i'm not sure i wanna live here anymore.' i said in my head as i turned on the tv, putting spongebob back on and dozing off to sleep.

STEM: The Topical Dungeon
Inspired by CORE: The Volcanic Dungeon by Ace Arriande and a spiritual successor to my writing prompt series Evolution Barricade, STEM is a series following the reincarnation of Kaden into the fantasy world of Brogdar. Reborn as a "DM" and a plant, Kaden tackles the challenges of being the agent of the chaotic god: trying to be his very own dungeon master. However, unlike other stories, Kaden is often making fun of and dealing with disadvantages that the normal reincarnated hero would never have to worry about. A parody of the normal tropes of isekai, STEM is a periodic series that is intended to release a minimum of once per week. There may be times where there is more than one drop, but those would be special occasions. Additionally, the content tags are simply to try and ensure my readers know these stories can encompass a large variety of things. They may not immediately be in focus, but they will all end up appearing!

A Warrior's Love (BL)
"Your mind is dark, your eyes are dull, your life is bleaker than feces, and your heart is covered in ash." She removed one hand to keep her veils on her head as the topmost shawl slipped down her neck. She continued to speak, "Your blood is cold. If you remain this way, you will die before you can find your love." The Krasean lowered his veil, revealing his face to us. He tipped his head upward so I can see his honey coloured eyes that were duller than his peoples'. Black eyeliner outlined the rim of his eyes, drawing attention to his enchanting eyes. "Whoever your lover is, they are your other half. You will endure hardships and pain because of them. You will also make them feel the same." She looked conflicted like she did not know whether to tell me this was good or bad. "In their eyes, you are the evilest and the godliest. How contradicting this is!" "Did you slap me?" I held the helmet between the pit of my elbow and my waist. One hand slowly reached up to rub my numb cheek. It has been forever since someone last slapped me. Now, no one who knew my identity would dare to hit me directly. "The blood coursing through your veins, it's hot and dangerous. You cannot be tamed easily and this may be the cause of your downfall." A strange grimace graced her wrinkled face. I swear to the gods she is ageing each second! "I see your fall. Someone with too much power automatically becomes a threat. You're no longer seen as an ally, but a monster."
