chapter 3: "I Think She Knows."
//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\
I was awoken from shouting from downstairs. I felt around the couch I was on for another pillow but had no luck.
I looked up and around the room to see Jessi not in bed anymore. I scratched my head as the shouting continued. "What the hell." I mumbled.
I yawned before getting up and stretching. I walked towards the door and slowly opened it. The opening was slight but wide enough for me to see the hallway. Once I knew it was clear I slowly stepped out of the room and walked as quietly as I could to the steps.
I approached the staircase safely and was about to take a step before I felt myself being lifted from the ground. I started panicking and turned my head as far as I could, only to see a tall man in dark blue coveralls and a white mask. Before I could panic anymore I felt myself being let go before I hit the steps and tumbled down. I screamed in pain as I held my waist.
He threw me.
My head was spinning and my eyesight was blurry. I blinked rapidly as I rubbed my head. I slowly sat up and looked towards the top of the stairs to see no one.
I groaned as I got up and stumbled to the living room area. Did Jessi really not hear my screams? I looked through the doorway from one of the entrance to the living room to see a bunch
of people sitting on the couch watching tv.
My eyes widened as I slowly backed up, but I was met with another surprise. I backed into someone, making me jump and scream in fear. I looked behind me only to find Jessi with a bag of ice in her hand. She looked confused as to why I was screaming. I turned back around to see all eyes on us, mostly me.
I looked at them wide eyed. My eyes kept moving back to the unique-looking ones, I guess that's what I'd call them. One of them was pretty big with a goaltender mask. He stared at me without moving a muscle.

The other one also had a mask on his face, but it looked like human skin. It creeped me out to say the least.
Two of them were dolls. One had on a beautiful white dress, and her make up was well done for a doll.
The other one's face looks like it was stitched back together. He had on good guy overalls and blue eyes.
The last one had burnt skin. He had claws for fingers and wore an ugly red and green striped sweater. He looked like the monster from my nightmare.
The rest either had on a mask or just looked normal.
I felt my head spinning and I was getting dizzy. I tried to stay in place but I kept stumbling. I finally blacked out.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~
I slowly opened my eyes but quickly shut them when the sun shines in my face. I heard a bunch of moving around before I opened my eyes again, this time not as my sun was shining.
I see that I'm in my room. I looked over to see a beautiful girl with blonde hair staring at me with her blue/green eyes.
"you're awake!" she says.
"what happened?" I ask with my dry voice.
"Well the way I would put it, you got a little overwhelmed with all the people in the room. I would say all of the attention made you faint." she explains.
"What time is it? how long was I out for?" I sat up.
"It's only 12. and you've been out for about 5 hours." my eyes widened once she revealed how long i've been out for.
she noticed this and said "you were only out for that long because you fell asleep, fainting doesn't last that long usually. Did you get enough sleep last night?" I shook my head no. "That's why you were out for that long."
"anyway! we have a long day ahead of us, let's get ready!" She pulled me out of the bed. "What do you mean?" I am confused.
"too much to explain. now go take a shower!"
"What even is your name?"
"Carrie. Carrie White." That name sounds familiar. "Now go!"

I entered my bathroom and shut the door quickly. I looked at myself in the mirror and whispered her name repeatedly.
Her name sounds so familiar but I don't know where it's from.
Deciding to drop it I walked over to the shower and turned the water on. I waited for it to get hot before I stripped and got in. I washed up a few times before getting out.
I walked up to my sink and wiped the fog off of my mirror. I stared at my reflection. Until it hit me.
Carrie White.
1976 film.
Carrie.
My eyes widened as I stood there.
Maybe this is a misunderstanding. Maybe her parents were high fans of the movie and named her after Carrie. Right? right.
I got dressed and slowly exited my bathroom. I saw that my room was empty which made me feel safer. I walked into my closet and looked for my shoes. When I entered I looked around and saw her shoe section. Shrugging, I walked over to them and picked out the brown heels that matched my outfit.
I unwrapped my hair and fiddled with it until it looked good. Once I was satisfied I left the closet and went to my door.
I took a deep breath before I swung the door open and looked down the hall. Seeing that the coast was clear I walked as fast as I could to the stairs. Once I got there I didn't stop, I continued to walk down the steps at that same pace.
Once I got downstairs safely I walked into the kitchen to see Jessi and two boys reorganizing it.
"You're finally awake!" Jessi clapped her hands together as she spotted me, which made the two boys look my way.
I stood there awkwardly as Jessi rambled on about a few things. Jessi clapped her hands together and shouted 'FAMILY MEETING!', making me and one of the two boys jump.
Jessi turned back to me and smiled. "Let's go!" she said, pulling me into the bigger living room than the last one, with the two boys following behind.
When we entered there were a bunch of people and...things? Sitting on the couch.
"Hello everyone! so we have a new member in the house!" Jessi started off.
"stop calling us members like we're in some fucking club." The doll with stitches said, completely freaking me out. "don't be rude, chucky." The other one said, making the male roll his eyes.
"Ahem, as I was saying, we have someone else who's going to like in the house with us. Y/n, these are..." Jessi trailed off as if she didn't know what to call them. "My Family. Well, our family now." she smiled. "Family, this is Y/n, my cousin, she's gonna be staying with us for now on."
"Since when do you have a living cousin?" The doll talked once again. Jessi just stared at him unimpressed.
"anyway. introduce yourselves." A few of them rolled their eyes.
"Hi sweetheart! I'm Tiffany, Tiffany Valentine." The doll said.
"Chucky." the other one followed.
"I'm Carrie White as you know."
"Billy Loomis."
"Stu Macher!"
"Norman B-Bates."
"Freddy. Krueger."
The more the names came the more familiar they were.
"Brahms." said the boy in a child-like voice that sent chills up my spine.
There was scribbling on paper as I looked in the direction towards the two tall ones.
'꠹ꪖᦓꪮꪀ ꪜꪮ᥅ꫝꫀꫀᦓ'
One read. He doesn't have very good handwriting.
'mіᥴȷᥲᥱᥣ mᥡᥱrs.'
The Other one read.
'ᏰᏬᏰᏰᏗ ᏕᏗᏇᎩᏋᏒ'
The last one read.
"Good job everyone! You finally followed directions!" Jessi said.
What the hell. The most notorious serial killers, FROM MOVIES may i add, are real. And I'm living with them.
I stood there wide eyed, fear visible. There was a few seconds of silence as everyone watched me, I stayed frozen in place.
"I think she knows."

Transmigration Retiree
"What's that you say? I can never leave this reality ever? Good!" Ed, was a normal man in a world full of superheroes, so he didn't really have too many complaints when that first truck fell on him. After all he'd read enough comics to know that sometimes things just happen. Besides he'd been getting on in years when it happened, and his life till then, though lonely, had more or less been fully lived. The second time around when that one guy pushed him off a cliff for a chalice of immortal ambrosia, wasn't so cool though, and then there was that third time when he was just getting used to life as a lady, and that crazy goddess showed up out of nowhere and started ranting about purging the demon menace....then some other stuff happened and he briefly got to go back to earth before falling into a coma where he adventured in the world of dreams. Then the aliens came, and the dream ended and he was suddenly stuck being the AI Overmind for the whole damn star systm. The aliens died, and because he was all mechanical and what-not he just kind of had to keep on going. Forced to continue collecting the materials and data from countless worlds that were destoryed in the process. Then there was that whole war with the gods business that followed...mostly because of all that world destroying he did because of some fairly faulty programming. Anyway, thankfully someone pulled a "rocks fall" on that whole curfuffle, because by the time he was in control of himself again, things had long gotten out of hand. Now the powers-that-be tell him that he must spend the rest of his existence in single lonely section of the cosmos. Trapped in a single portion of a single universe. And now he weeps...No worries though, these are tears of joy. Hopefully this final unending existence he's been given will be the quiet life he's been looking for. A Man who's seen everything gets abducted by aliens and is converted into an AI that sits at the helm of a fleet of alien ships and behind the computer systems for most their planets. This Alien AI goes to war with the gods and ends up nearly destroying an entire reality. The Angels condemn the troublemaking AI to life as normal child on a far off world....All truth said, the "AI" couldn't be happier. His life's been far too interesting(read: Scary, Inconvenient and Painful) in his opinion and he could do with a bit of normalcy.
