"I never meant what I said," I find myself quietly croaking as the tears overfill the base of my eyes and then quickly run in sync down my already-punished-enough cheeks.
I rush to her clearly-empty wardrobe in hope that all her clothes may just reappear and she'll just emerge from behind me and tell me to stop being such a little baby. I scuff my eyes around the room-shes gone Sasha. Shes not coming back and its all because of you!- I never meant to! The cold air from the open window sings and pirouettes around me, silence eating my vacant surrounding leaving the sigh of loneliness shooting air out of my mouth with each breathe I cautiously exhale. My eyes scream for justice and peace with each translucent trickle of emotions that escapes my swollen eyes.
What am I going to do? I quickly run my fingers through my hair and do the only thing I can think of. I need to try Kyle one more time. Second time lucky right? The phone continues to ring but no one picks up. My baby doesn't pick up.
"Sorry, the person you're trying to reach is unavailable-"
I quickly cut the answer machine in depression and frustration. My crushed heart rides up my scarred throat then leaps into my soar mouth, leaving a trail of cold blood behind. I slide to Jacobs name and my fingers start to instantly tremble. My finger presses against the call and I feel like I'm about to vomit my intestines.
"Hello?" his voice sounds harsh and cold. Look what I've done!
"Erm...Jake? I need you to kind of pick me up please," I quietly sob as my tears beg for release and my throat threatens to crack at any point.
"Why? What's happened?" The tears over-power my intentions and I barely have a whisper to give. "My mom...shes um...gone. Please come over!" my own pleading cry rings down my ears and all the emotions drains out my body. "I'm on my way." I hang up then slip the phone down my denim pocket.
Come on Sasha! Be strong-just show them bitches how responsible you can be!
I storm in Tasha's bedroom, grab her small Disney Princess suitcase from behind the door and drag it to the middle of her fluffy pink room. I collapse on my knees and quickly sling all her clothes from her drawers into her open suitcase. All her toiletries on top of her dressing table gets thrown into the suitcase. Items, toys, shoes and over stuff reunite in her suitcase. I swiftly zip up the light-weighted suitcase and yank it down the stairs. Woah! That was a work-out! My limbs barely feel in tact and boy am I out of breath. Tasha pops her head into the hallway then comes rushes towards me.
"What are you doing with my suitcase?" she questions me.
"We're going on a little holiday to uncle Jacob's house," I softly pant and I twist my elbows outwards then rest my hands on my lower back. Yeah I know what you're thinking. "Uncle"? Really, bitch, really? Well that's what Tasha refers to him as so I just go along with it.
"Why can't we stay here? Mom will be looking for us!"
"Yeah, well mom's not here," I mutter as I grab her coat and without her even knowing it, slide it onto her warm body.
"She is! She told me she was upstairs."
"She lied, Tasha! Shes not in the shower, shes not even in the house. She's left us!" I scream.

"Mom always leaves, she'll come back!" Tasha continues to protest.
"She won't come back, Tash! Not this time!"
I scurry to grab her boots and makes them slip them on. I hear the doorbell so I quickly run to the door, leaving Tasha by herself. I open the door and there's Jacob. He rushes inside the house, soaked and wet-its raining outside.
"What's the emergency?"
"I want you to take Tasha back to yours. She's got her suitcase and everything. Take her and I'll follow later in the Ferrari. I'll explain when I get there. Just try not to worry." I rub my tears with the back of my hand.
"Have you called Kyle?" he questions me.
I lightly nod my head then press my lips together to prevent any more tears to scurry down my face. He quickly takes Tasha and her suitcase then watch as the Jaguar drives away in the pouring dark rain. I hurry up to my own room, take out a large bag and start packing my clothes. Taking everything I possibly can, stuffing all my lingerie, panties, tops, jeans and toiletries into the bag. I raid my drawers and literally take out everything contained inside. I don't know how long we will need to crash there but I definitely cant stay in this house any longer.
I drag the heavy sack down the creaky stairs. I put on my my raincoat and slide on my boots. I hover at the front door before I finally open it and collide with the pouring rain and the dangerous darkness. Thunder and lightening strikes as I flip my hood up in one swift movement. I jog over to my Ferrari and unlock it with the key with my bag in one hand. I throw the sack in the passenger seat then rest my phone top of it. I quickly start the car and drive away from the infinite pain which I once called my "home, sweet home".
I drive down the broken empty road as the rain throws vicious punches at the front window. The tires fight against the lost friction from the road and my heart jumps at every shocking thunder sound. I zoom past the park me and Jacob were at only a few hours ago. I zoom past my cold abandoned school until I finally get to where Jake lives. I spot his Jaguar parked outside so I know him and Tash got here safely. I park my Ferrari opposite his car, flip my hood up, grab onto my bag and exit the car to greet the pouring rain one more time. I run towards the door and urgently knock on the door...
"Come in. Quick! Before you shrivel up Sash."
Jacob quickly ushers me as I step into the warm glowing sensation of his immaculate grand mansion. He takes my coat then hangs it up. "Thank you," I mumur, trying to find my own lost voice. I drop my bag by the entrance as Jacob leads me towards the sofa and sits me down.
"Where's Tasha?" I whisper, my teeth chattering at full speed. Wow! I really cannot handle the cold.
"Don't worry about her, she's changed into her pajamas and has found an interest in the games room," he informs me.
"Right. Where are your parents?" Oh shit wait! Kathleen's not their mom. Crap! He don't know that I know.
"Oh. They're in Dubai for Kathleen's modelling and commercial shoots for another week."
"Oh. Okay." I reach up for my necklace and play with the two interlocked hearts.

"Where's your mom, Sash?" I fight the urge to restart the waterworks. "She's gone, Jake," I voice crumbles under seriously hot pressure. "Gone? Gone where?" I shrug my shoulders then stare into his caring warm eyes.
"Maybe she might call you."
His voice is soft and husky. She won't call. The letter is all she needs to say. My whore of a mom left her two daughters for what reason exactly? Because I told her about herself? Because Kyle cares for me much more than she does? Well if thats the case then maybe she's right, she's not the type of mom any deserves.
"She won't. She's a dumb whore who needs to grow up," I mutter.
"Has this got something to do with this morning?"
"I'm guessing."
He shuffles closer to me and wraps his hands around my shoulders. My head automatically rests on his chest and the trickled tears stream down my face. Why is life so hard for me? A dad-who will never come back. A mom-who's left me. An older sister- who's whereabouts, I don't even know. A boyfriend-who hasn't picked up his phone since.
"Do you want something to drink?" Jacob questions me as I lift my head up from his chest.
I want Kyle. "No thank you."
He screws his eyebrows at me."Come on Sasha, you look like you're about to freeze to death," he whispers, rubbing my arm with the palm of his hand. His touch soothes the pain. I place my hands on my shorts to feel for my phone but feel nothing. Shit! I must of left it in the car. "What's wrong?"
"I left my phone in the car." I shoot up from the sofa. "Well give me your car keys and let me get it for you. It's dark, cold and it's raining." He gazes at me through his lashes so his sexy green eyes fight for visibility.
"I'll be fine. You just need to stop worrying too much about me," I laugh as I quickly walk over to the door.
"Well if I don't then who else will?" he calls after me just before I exit the house leaving the door wide open behind me.
I toss my hood over my head, keep my head low and jog over to my car. My stomach curls into a tight ball then fights my body. I cradle the base of my stomach with my arm as the pain intensifies. I really need to eat something. I unlock my car then head for the passenger seat where I spot my phone on it. It must of slipped off the bag when I was leaving. Clumsy me. I stretch over the driver seat and grasp onto the phone. Half my body in the other half experiencing the pouring rain on my naked legs. No missed calls. No new messages. No Kyle.
I slither out the car, and lock it. I stare at my phone then decide to quickly send Kyle a message instead. My legs slow down as I concentrate on what to send him. The rain may be cold but just the look of his name warms me up again. I slowly type a short messages, my fingers unable to move at a faster speed. Just as I'm about to tuck the phone into my pocket, I feel a pair of very strong arms scoop me around my stomach then a hand force themselves over my lips. My lungs kick and punch for air and my feet levitate off the ground. I let out a painful scream but it comes out muffled as their force over me tightens around me.
My legs kick in the air as I feel a hard figure behind me. Tears pour down my eyes and even though my screams are loud and croaky no one seems to hear it. I try to remove the grasp the person as around me as he walks backwards into the darkness but they're way too strong for me. "Sshh," the finally breathes down my neck. His voice hoarse and smooth. Quite familiar. "Your precious boyfriend is not here to protect you now, is he?" Shit! He knows about me and Kyle!
I close my eyes in infinite pain just as I spot Jacob in the distance rushing out the house and towards us. I yell out his name but its inaudible. I'm dropped onto the ground, my legs and hands scratching against the rough wet concrete and my breathing recovered. That voice is so familiar and deadly. Almost like I've heard it before.
"Sasha!" Jacob yells as he sprints towards me and without me even realizing it, scoops me up from the ground and carries me back into the house.
The only thing protecting me at this point, is the sound of his steady heartbeat against my ears. He locks the door behind us with me still in his arms. He carries me just like how Kyle does. He sits me on the sofa like a baby then sits on the table so he can face me. It was only a month ago when Kyle was sitting on the same spot cleaning me up after the fight I got into with his ex Kya.
I'm scared. I'm traumatized. I need protecting.
I feel used and I need to be loved for a change. I woke up today to the sound of my beautiful boyfriend's voice and now ending the day to the sound of a creepy guy who's been preferably stalking me. My mind turns into a blank canvas and I don't want to think about anything anymore.
"Don't cry," he whispers.
I nod my head in understanding but the tears don't stop flowing. That's easier said than done. "People love hurting me Jacob. First Kyle, then my mom and now someone I don't even know. Did you get a glimpse of what he looked like?"
"I never saw the creep's face. He had a gray hoodie." Gray hoodie? He can't be the same guy who stole my necklace and stalked me in the restaurant could it?
"It's him," I breathe to myself. "Who?" Jacob quickly replies, bringing his face closer with intriguement. "I think someone's out to get me, Jake."
"Why? Why you? You're a good girl, you haven't done anything wrong."
"Maybe because I'm with Kyle. Maybe Kyle associated with the wrong people? I don't know. But the guy said to me 'your precious boyfriend is not here to protect you know is he'. He knows about me and Kyle and I think he wants to hurt me. Or maybe even kill me." The thought of someone hurting me because I'm dating Kyle haunts my conscience.
"You said the word 'associated' like he still doesn't," Jacob mumbles, turning his eyes away from mine. I stare at him and scrunch my lips in confusion. Why did he just say that? "He said he's changed," I murmur, refusing the urge to break into an argument.
"Okay, Sasha." He runs his fingers through his hair then glares at the clock which is behind him. It's only nine, twenty-five. "Should we call the cops?" he questions me.
"No! They don't need to know about this!"
"Sasha there's a creep trying to kill you!"
"Please, Jacob don't! I just wanna be safe."
"The police will protect you, Sash."
"I need some love and attention," I mumble shyly as I drop my head down and listen to my inaudible tears run down my eyes the reach the curve of my lips.
I need Kyle to wrap his arms around me and tell me how much he loves me. For me to run his fingers through my hair the delicately kiss around my lips before he actually collides with them. I feel Jacob tuck a strand of hair behind my ear before he carefully tilts my chin upwards so I can face his intimidating eyes and soft lips.
"I would never let anyone hurt you Sasha," he whispers.
I sharply inhale at the same words Kyle said to me just when I told him about my past. His reassuring voice drains my petrifying emotions and leaves me completely lost and hypnotized. He lightly brushes the the tears away from my eyes with the back of his fingers then lightly flicks my soar nose with his forefinger. I twitch my lips to a smile at his childish behaviour then lock into his gaze. "Jake," I softly breathe as his lips secretly usher me closer and the room spins around us. He moves his face a little closer as my eyes slowly close at his nearer presence. My heart melts with desire as I delicately push out my own lips towards his...

A Collection of Tales
This is or rather will become a collection of short stories set in the worlds of The Misplaced Dungeon and Unexpected Consequences as I am finding it difficult to avoid including some amusing ideas that would sidetrack those stories. And now also include stories from the world of And Dungeon Makes Three. Unless otherwise stated these stories happen in the background and are here because they seem to want to get out. Updating will be irregular.
