《Kissing You》Kissing You; Chapter 12; A Bad Love Story

"I didn't think you guys would be back this early," Kyle nervously laughs as he slips his hands in his jeans pockets then flips his hair away from his eyes which have seemed to calm down now.
"And this is why you have your own house, Kyle," the slender blond woman sighs before tossing her keys on the counter and dropping her metallic Versace bag on the floor. I'm guessing that's Kyle's mom. She's gorgeous with her silky bleach blond hair just like Jacob but her eyes are a dazzling Jade green color which illuminates the sun's rays. Her cheeks radiate a warm rosy color and her puckered lips are parted only slightly. I stop staring at her when I notice her eyes analyse me up and down. Then her jaw drops open. "Oh my! Sweetheart! What happened?" she yells in horror.
I look around helplessly then realize that she's spotted the blood stains on my ripped top. "Oh, Kyle just brought me here to get me cleaned up actually," I quietly reply, looking down at my terrible state before frowning a bit.
"A bit more than just cleaning up from what we saw," the man next to the blond woman remarks. He looks like he's in his late 30s but he still rather attractively hot. His dark brown hair is slicked back and he's wearing a tuxedo and holding a smooth black briefcase. He has bright gray eyes like Kyle and they look quite similar so be precise.
"Look...dad, can I just take Sasha to get cleaned up?" Kyle impatiently questions as he taps he foot repeatedly on the ground.
"No! I'll take her upstairs and get her cleaned up," the blond woman demands, slipping off her shoes then grabbing my hand excitedly to lead me upstairs. I see Kyle roll his eyes then groan. I pull a weak smile at him then shrug as she drags me up the stairs. "You two! Kitchen now! You're cooking tonight!" she proudly order to Kyle and his father. She's so enthusiastic and full of energy. I turn my head around a little when I'm halfway up the stairs and see Kyle and his father both looking annoyed. I smile a little to myself just to see this new side of Kyle. I see he has quite a cute family and I like bond he has with his parents. I wish I had a mom who was always so thoughtful and just a dad to be...alive. He doesn't know how lucky he is. "Our Kyle is quite the cook you know," the blond woman loudly whispers to me, snatching me away from my melodic thoughts.
"I heard that!" Kyle shouts from down the stairs. She turns to me and giggles mischievously and I giggle along in an attempt to be sociable. Her voice is very high, husky and flirtatious, and I don't think she's even putting it on.
She leads me to a big cream door encrusted with millions of diamonds around the edges. Wow this is so elaborate and nothing compared to my room! "This is your room?" I stupidly ask her, looking gob smacked with my eyes wide open.
Well duh! Of course it is, you idiot! Is your mind still on Kyle? Can you really not get him out of your head that much? Admit it he makes your hormones tingle with ecstasy! Sorry, I don't mean to be a tease, I'm just stating the truth!
She nods her head then slowly turns the knob and walks in. The room is absolutely massive and I feel so small compared to the size of it. I stand by the door, only taking little steps to enter the room. She struts over to a large transparent concave wardrobe that's bigger than every room in my house put together. Okay I'm over exaggerating now, but it's still pretty huge. "Come pick out something to wear, Sasha," she exclaims as she slides the wardrobe doors open and presents me a warm smile.

I awkwardly walk over to the wardrobe then peep inside the wardrobe. I slowly go through a selection of clothes trying hard not to get anything creased. All the clothes are branded and designer - Gucci, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Coco Chanel, Prada, D&G, Valentino and so many other big clothing brands. "Wow I see a lot of designer stuff," I quietly chuckle as I flick through all the clothes. She sniggers then reaches in and pulls out a sexy shape-fitted gold strapless dress. "Woah what's the occasion?" I'm taken back.
"Just take it and wear it!" she laughs as she pushes the dress towards my chest.
"Look Mrs-"
"Call me Kathleen," she cuts me halfway with a grin stretched on her tiny heart-shaped face.
That's very...informal? "Okay?...Look Kathleen, I just really need a top to get changed into so I can go home," I explain to her, pushing the dress away from me.
"Don't be daft, Sasha! You're staying over for dinner, I really want to get to know Kyle's girlfriend," she excitedly sings as she throws the silky dress at me then shoves me behind the vintage dressing screen.
"Kathleen you're misunderstood, Kyle is not my boyfriend!" I state trying not to move when she pushes me to get changed. When I'm behind the screen, I give the dress one glance then realize the tag is still on it. My jaw drops down, along with my mouth when I see the price on it. "Four thousand dollars!!" I yell gob smacked. "How do you afford all these designer stuff?"
"Well I do model."
"I should of guessed," I mumble to myself as I carry on staring at all those digits printed on the tag.
"Are you putting that dress on?" I come out from behind the dressing screen and hold up the dress, showing that I hadn't even attempted to slide down the golden zipper at the back. She deeply exhales and rests her hands on her hips."Are being serious? It will look so gorgeous on you!"
"No thanks, I'd prefer a simple top please," I quietly respond, handing the dress back to her.
She sighs then slowly nods her head in understanding. I watch as she walks over to some drawers and pulls out a gorgeous light pink blouse with ruffles at the front of it. It's hideous but I don't want to refuse her offer, so I cheerfully smile and take the blouse from her. Her smooth fair skin instantly lights up when she sees that I'm pleased with her choice of clothing for me. I take off my ripped blood-stained top and throw on the blouse. It actually looks okay with the denim shorts I'm wearing. "Oh! I have a great black pencil skirt from Prada I bought yesterday, that will go exceptionally well with that blouse you have on..." she trails off.
"That's okay, Kathleen. You've done more than enough - thank you."
"You're welcome, beautiful...Now go downstairs, Kyle is waiting for you!" she cheerfully exclaims.
"Woah! What makes you think there's anything going on between me and Kyle?"
"I see the way you look at him. I see the beginning of a beautiful relationship," she happily sings.
My heart starts pounding loudly and I could feel the sweat trickling down from my forehead. My palms become sweaty and begin to itch at her acknowledgement. "I have no idea what you're on about," I gulp as I play with the ruffles on my sleeves, trying to deliberetly get distracted . But for some reason I feel as if she's right. Maybe I do have a soft spot for Kyle.

Maybe.
"It's okay, your secret's safe with me." I don't know what to reply to that so I just raise my eyebrow at her, then that's when the grin grows bigger on her pretty face. Wow, she's nothing like Kyle or Jacob. She seems more of a big sister than a mom, but I like it. I wish my mom is always that cheerful and caring and we could talk about anything for hours and hours and hours...
"Erm I should probably head back downstairs Mrs Carl - Kathleen." I exclaim with a shy smile.
She lightly nods her head then sweetly stretches her lips into a warm smile. I walk out of the room then breathe a sigh of relief. Boy am I glad to have escaped that room in one piece...
"So you're staying for dinner, Sasha?" Kyle's father questions me as I reach the bottom of the stairs.
"Yeah? If that's okay. I mean if you don't want-"
"No! It's okay please stay!" he insists, giving me a warm greeting smile then continues to type on his MacBook Pro.
I catch Kyle's eyes staring at me from the kitchen, but then he quickly looks away when he notices me looking back. I walk over to where he's taking out serving bowls and glasses from high cupboards. Very high for my reach. "Need some help?" I quietly ask him as I rest my arms on the marble table behind me.
"Nope!" he replies with a popped 'p'. I nod my head nervously then turn back the direction I came from. "On second thoughts, there are some stuff you could help me with." That's when a relieved smile creeps onto my face and I can't stop those fireworks that are setting off inside me. I shuffle a bit closer to him. He takes out the stack of plates from the top shelf then places it on the table and pushes it next to me. I raise a brow then roll my sleeves up ready to take the plates to the dinner table. I need to tell him now - sooner rather than later.
"Look Kyle, could we just forget about what happened between us two today?" I slowly exhale, placing my fingers underneath the stack of heavy china plates, decorated with shiny floral designs.
He doesn't say anything. He takes out four glasses from the cupboard and holds them in both hands. He ignores me and walks behind me to get to the dinner table. What? You didn't actually think I was going to say I like him did you? Because I really don't! "Now why would I want to forget that?" he huskily breathes into my ear behind me then pushes my hair behind it. I quickly snap my head around to face him. Wow I never knew he was this close to me.
"You should probably take those glasses to the table now," I gulp with every movement he takes closer to me. That mischievous smirk is plastered all over his face again and I feel my heart start to pound out of my chest.
"Or I could just take you for the ride of your life," he whispers as he brings his lips closer to mine. I lean back, but he doesn't stop coming closer. The chills are erotic and his presence is overwhelming.
"Okay guys that's enough, do that in your own time," Kyle's father sighs as he walks over to the fridge and grabs a can of beer. The tone in his voice shows that he is so much used to Kyle's behavior.
"Oh it's not what you think-" I quickly interrupt, pushing Kyle out of my way.
"Its everything that you're thinking dad," Kyle laughs as he begins to stroll towards the dinner table to set the glasses down.
I quickly follow behind him and place the plates down, according to the number of seats that's around the table. I look at the number of seats then count how many of us there is. It doesn't add up. Unless it's my bad calculation skills? "Are you guys having guests over?" I question him as I double check the number of plates to make sure I have enough.
"You never know who's going to walk through the door, Sash," he slowly replies, standing back and admiring the appearance of the large marble table that sits in the middle of the room surrounded by flowers and pictures up on the walls and a huge chandelier that hangs above it.
"So no Jacob?" I curiously question him, with no intentions to get him furious.
"Probably not, why?" he asks me as he leans on the wall and crosses his arms over each other.
"Just wondering," I reply as I roll down my sleeves and stand back to admire the table just like Kyle did. Mirroring his laid back actions.
"There's always a reason for everything, Sasha. Spit it out."
I open my mouth then I'm interrupted from the sound of loud heels stomping towards the room. Oh. Its definitely his mother - Kathleen.
"Ooh! Kyle the food smells so good!" she happily sings as she enters the room in her dazzling dark blue dress and black heels. Kyle gives her a smile and scoffs a little. "Stop leaning on my wall, Kyle! How many times do I have to tell you?" she hisses, swatting Kyle with her hand as she walks past him and towards the table. He rolls his eyes then loudly kisses his teeth as he pushes his body off the wall and stands up-right. Her face drops in a slight shock and Kyle instantly holds up his hands in surrender. She quickly grins at me when she spots me standing nervously on the other side of the room. "So you like the top then? It looks gorgeous!" she exclaims, giving me no time to reply to her first question. She quickly hops towards me and places both hands on my shoulders. "You look gorgeous! Doesn't she look gorgeous, Kyle? Tell your girlfriend she looks gorgeous!"
I screw my eyebrows at her then nervously look back at Kyle who doesn't seem the slightest bit interested. His hands are shoved down his pockets and he's looking down at his feet. "He's not my boyfriend," I quietly murmur to her, but she's not listening one bit, her eyes remained focused on Kyle.
"Kyle!" she hisses, snapping her sharp fingers.
He tilts his head up and faces us. "You look good..." he shrugs in a lifeless tone.
"Kyle you need to tell the truth," she orders followed by a small laugh.
"That's rich coming from you," Kyle mutters under his breath.
An awkward silence consumes the room and I'm stuck in the middle. "Look there's really no need for all of this, I'd much rather we just-" .
"Okay! Who's ready to eat some of mine and Kyle's homemade amazing cooking!" his father gladly shouts as he burst into the room. No one replies anything, instead we all just stare at him and he feels like a target.
"You guys are so embarrassing. This is why I don't bring people over," Kyle annoyingly mumbles as he takea his place on a chair around the table.
"Is it something I said?" his father confusingly questions us as he sits on the chair opposite Kathleen.
"No nothing! Hmm the food smells delicious lets eat!" I quickly say trying to completely change the subject. I pull the chair back and rapidly sit down across Kyle on the other side of the table
Frustration is written all over his face and I can see the anger in his eyes as he buries his head in his hands. "Kyle you don't even pull out the seat for you girlfriend! What kind of gentleman are you?" his father jokes along with Kathleen as she take each of our plates and fills it with the food in the pots and bowls.
I felt uncomfortable. I want to laugh, but seeing how Kyle's not even present with us, puts my whole mood down. I wonder what he meant when he referred to his Kathleen as a hypocrite. Because whatever he meant by that line, has obviously triggered wrath within him. "She's not my fucking girlfriend!" he hisses while his head is still buried in his hands which makes it sound muffled.
"Hey watch your mouth!" his dad snaps.
The awkwardness is killing me. "I should probably go," I suggest as I place my napkin on the table, push my chair out and prepare to stand up. I'm not fitting in and I don't want to interfere with their family problems. Kyle obviously needs to speak to his parents about whatever is making him angry, and I'm just getting in the way.
"No!...Stay," Kyle quietly demands as he hopelessly looks up at me. I watch as the roaring fire in eyes slowly start to die down and his cheeks fluster a warm rosy color. I slowly sit back down and quietly push my chair in.
"Now could we all just enjoy this meal in a nice orderly manner," his father calmly states as he picks up his knife and fork and attacks the steak that's on his plate.
"Ha! Us? Ordinary? Darling, we're like the 'Adams Family'!" Kathleen chuckles. I slowly pick up my knife and fork then bow my head down. My food's staring at me and I'm not all that hungry. I move my eyes towards Kyle and spot him looking at me then smiles. I quickly smile back then go back to looking at my food. I cut into the potato then leave it on the fork before I slip it into my mouth. It takes good but I'm just not all that hungry. Then suddenly the doorbell rings which startles me a little. "I wonder who that could be?" Kathleen quietly murmurs.
"Probably your invisible guests," I joke to Kyle, hoping that would make him laugh along with me, but instead he just lightly scoffs, places his knife and fork on the plate then gets up from the chair.
"I'll go see who it is," he says as he walks out of the dining room then disappears.
I play around with my food a bit more, then Mr and Mrs Carlson start talking about work and other really "adult-based" conversations. I alienate myself and start thinking about Kyle. How he had me up against the wall and the way his hands travelled around my body. That tingling sensation starts erupting and I feel the urge for more. I tightly press my thighs together, in order to withdraw from the sensation but tingling continues and my body temperature starts to immaculately increase. "Honey are you okay? You seem uncomfortable," Kathleen questions me with a worried tone as her eyebrows scowl in desperation.
"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine," I rapidly reply as I prevent eye contact and shuffle around on my chair. I really need to detach myself from this wilder feeling. Just then, Kyle walks into the room. But he's not alone, he is followed by Jacob who looks flustered. My heart thuds as the two Carlson brothers stroll into the dining room, both looking extravagantly divine and lush. This cannot be good.
"Ah Jacob I thought you'll never make it!" Kathleen cheers, running towards him before giving him a tight hug.
Has he still not spotted me yet? Wow I'm invisible! I'm invisible! Then his eyes move to me and I can tell about one hundred million things had just crossed his mind. I lower my eyes a little when he locks it with mine and fidget around with the cutlery. "Oh Sasha. I didn't know you was here," he quietly says with a shocked tone in his deep voice as he walks towards me then takes the seat closest to me.
I quickly glance at Kyle and I spot how tight his grip on his knife is and how the roaring fire is rushing through his body. "Erm...surprise?" I awkwardly laugh as I push a few strands of hair behind my ear then give him one big cheesy grin.
Something bad is bound to happen.
-Yeah, you can say that again!
"My, my, my, this is going to be a fun night," he quietly states with a malicious smirk on his face.
Both him and Kyle exchange pernicious and spiteful glances at each other and that's when I feel panic and terror rushing through my blood. My muscles tear and my heart paces into a frenzy. "Oh, it sure is," Kyle slowly mutters as he narrows his cold eyes at Jacob, then they both slowly shift to look at me so I feel both their ferocious eyes blaze directly through mine and twist to the core.
