"most of those scraps aren't even fit for patching britches. what in heaven's name are you planning to do with them?" marilla asks as she examines the basket contains of clothes that millie, anne, and cole are folding.
"art," cole simply answered.
"art?" marilla questioned as millie looked at the woman and smiled.
"cole is painting us a lovely and wonderful forest for the christmas pantomime," millie said.
"and all this fabric will lend it a most scrumptious texture," anne added and marilla just hummed in response.
"i've never been watch a pantomime before," millie blurted out.
"it's very exquisite, millie, i'm certain that you will enjoy it!" anne said as cole nods at them in agreement.
they continue to fold the clothes as someone knocked on the door. the cuthbert sisters opened the door while giggling. diana quickly and rather cheerfully walked inside with clothes on her arms.
"mother gave me dresses to try!" diana exclaimed causing millie and anne both squeals in happiness, "you'll never guess what else mother let me borrow!" diana exclaimed again as they all walked upstairs.
"uh..." millie tried to think, but nothing comes out of her mind.
"you'll never ever guess!" diana cries.
"could i guess?" cole asked.
"neither of you will never guess!"

"hurry, diana! i can't wait to see it!" anne exclaimed as she and millie held up a blanket to cover diana, who's changing into her costume while cole is sitting on the bed touching examining the fabric.
"alright," diana said, making the cuthbert sisters drop the blanket as diana walked out in a long puff sleeve white and blue dress with a tiara resting on her hair.

"wow, diana!" millie muttered.
"a tiara? oh, diana, you look like a real fairy queen! see?" anne exclaimed as she dragged diana to the mirror.
"would you two like to try it on?" diana asked as the barry girl pulled the tiara off her head and attempt to put it on anne's head but the redhead stopped her.
"no. no, diana. not... not like this. i couldn't possibly..." anne declined as she looks at her reflection on the mirror.
"the tiara would fit millie too," diana said told to them.
"no, i'm not--" millie tried to protest but was too late as they already put the tiara on millie's head.
millie looked at her reflection at the mirror in awe, "this is very..."
"you look divine, millie! oh my gosh! it's queen belle!" anne squeals as she hugs her sister.
"you look very pretty, millie. prince benjamin is waiting for you!" diana teased as the older cuthbert blushed.
"w-what? no!" millie quickly said as she pulled out the tiara off her head, "cole you wanna try it on?" the blond-headed girl asked for cole. they turned to look at cole, who was now wearing the long white dress, as they burst in laughter.
anne quickly took cole's hat as she put it in her head. anne cleared her throat as she bowed down at him, causing cole in the long dress make a curtsy in return as they burst in laughter, once again.
"you're both crazy," diana told them with a wide grin plastered on her face. millie handed cole the tiara, which he accepts as he rested the tiara in his head, making the girls laugh hysterically.
"my princess," millie said in a manly voice as she put a peck on cole's hand, making them all laughed again.

marilla peeked at the room with a smile plastered on her face but soon faded as she saw cole in a dress and tiara, making them all silent for a few seconds. marilla awkwardly walked out as the four laughed hysterically once again.
" ten lords a-leaping, nine ladies dancing--" anne and diana began to sing as they grabbed hands and jump around. millie and cole did the same as they join in.

"millie? anne?" marilla called out to them as she's writing a list.
"yes, marilla?"
"i'll want you to fetch these ingredients today in carmody. and be sure to get brown sugar, not white," marilla said.
"send jerry and millie!" anne exclaimed.
"i beg your pardon?" marilla asked as she and millie shared a confused look before looking at anne.
"please send jerry and millie?" she pleadingly said.
"i am sending jerry, thank you very much. but he has his own errands to run. you two will go along with him," marilla stated as she handed millie the list.
"please don't make me go, marilla. it's awful enough being the laughing stock of avonlea, but now carmody?! i'll never live it down," anne pleaded.
"marilla, i think i can handle it by myself---" millie said but was cut off by marilla.
"if you want mince pies or currants in your pudding, you'll just have to live it down, won't you?" marilla questioned.
"i'll be happy to starve!" anne cried out.
"uh, marilla, i can handle it all by myself. don't need to anne to come along," millie politely said but marilla shook her head in disagreement.
"enough of sticking up to your sister, mildred belle turner-cuthbert. and anne shirley-cuthbert, enough of your cheek. off you two go," marilla said as her voice filled with finality, making the two girls looked at each other.

"i'd like us all to agree that any conversation about my hair is off-limits," anne said as she and millie are sitting in the cart as jerry was petting the horse.
"i already saw your haircut," jerry plainly stated.
"and i'm saying i don't wish to discuss it," anne said.
"you're the one talking about it, not me."
"fine. so then drop it."
"i never picked it up."
millie rolled her eyes at their bickering, "guys! stop bickering for once!"
millie's scold made both of them silent as jerry pulled the horseback strap to make the horse move.
"v'là l'bon vent, v'là l'joli vent, v'là l'bon vent, ma mie m'appelle," jerry began to sing on their way, causing millie to laugh loudly.
"oh, must you?" anne frustratedly asked but the french boy just ignored her.
"v'là l'joli vent, v'là l'bon vent, ma mie m'attend," jerry sang again but this time, millie was joining him as they both shared a knowing look to plan to annoy anne. millie didn't know the song but she likes the tune and she can understand the lyrics so she decided to sing along even if it makes her sister annoyed.
"i cannot believe i'm missing rehearsals for this!" anne exclaimed, causing millie and jerry to let out a snicker.

Gaia Ark
Commander Coop, a four-armed, power-armored, super-soldier, undertakes a mission to assassinate the head of a religious cult bent on destroying the UPSF and everyone they protect. But no mission is ever that simple. GAIA ARK is an action adventure hero's journey featuring a cranky cyborg, vampiric sword, alien monsters, and enough self-discovery to provide a character arc. It's a little rough around the edges, a little crude. I started writing this story on November 2, 2018. This story is mid-composition. Please expect clunky prose, notes [in brackets], and incomplete...

Homeland
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
