《The Planets》Pluto's Poem

It is so lonely out here

on the celestial Styx.

I still have a few companions

who are stuck in the same mix.

We float on by

and gaze out into space

as weary traveler flies away

and leaves an icy trace.

I see a former father

from so far away

whose warmth has never graced my face

even to this very day.

It must be nice to be

little Mercury

still considered one of them,

and running quickly, I can see.

Titles may say otherwise

but I feel like one of you

Others will say the same

"Hey! We're planets too!"

Don't judge us by our smallish size

and our locations out in space

for I and the other dwarfs

are just planets of a different race.

-Pluto, King of the Ice Dwarfs
