《Dangerous Love- JJK》CHAPTER-16

Our last day at the hotel was filled with saying I love you to each other and having sex.
The next morning we were at the front desk checking out when I got the feeling. I leaned close to Jung kook. "Can we stay for a little longer?" I leaned my head against his shoulder. "Please?" He glanced at me as he dug an envelope full of cash out of the backpack he'd bought in with us. "Haven't had enough, huh? Jesus, Y/n. We've had sex six times in the last eighteen hours. I've given you at least ten orgasms. Plus, Thresh is waiting at the docks."
The hotel employee counting out the cash Jung kook had handed her was trying valiantly not to listen, but was failing, miserably. She was blushing scarlet and eyeing us surreptitiously, and lost count three times. "Ten?" She squeaked. "I don't think I've ever come that many times in my entire life." She clapped her hand over her mouth, mortified. "Oh god, I'm so sorry!"
Jung kook just grinned at her. "Then sweetheart, you're not having the right kind of sex." He took his change and winked at her. We walked out of the lobby but I was not feeling very well. I felt that something bad was going to happen. I pushed aside the thoughts and followed Jung kook out of the hotel.
As the hotel valet was bringing our car we were talking. I caught a glimpse of a familiar figure over Jung kook’s shoulder and I froze. It was Roth pointing a gun at Jung kook’s back. Seeing my frozen state Jung kook traced my line of gaze and looked behind him.
Roth shot at Jung kook three times and one bullet went through his rib cage, other in is shoulder and one a little lower in his body. Despite all of this Jung kook shot at Roth from his gun and shot him in the shoulder and near the heart and then fell to the ground.

A shrill scream pierced through the air around us and that sound was made by me. I took out Jung kook’s phone and dialed Thresh’s number and told him about the situation and to hurry.
With the help of the hotel staff Jung kook and Roth, both, were taken to a hospital. Both were in critical condition and taken to the operation theater. I was a crying mess in front of Jung kook’s room.
After few moments Thresh came there and I narrated the whole scene to him. “I’ve called and informed Mr. Wang he is coming here and will reach in five hours.” He informed me. I just nodded my head and hoped for the best.
Jackson and Mia reached the hospital and I ran to hug my brother and I bawled like a baby in his embrace. “Don’t worry he has survived worse than this, three bullets can’t kill him and moreover Roth is dead now.” Jackson cooed, while caressing my hair. I wondered how Roth died as he was also brought to the same hospital. “He didn’t survive the shot by Jung kook.” he said answering my thoughts. I was relieved that Roth has died and no more danger is looming above us. Jung kook was still under watch. Jackson pulled me out of his embrace and held me at an arm’s distance, inspecting me.
“Are you hurt somewhere? Did anyone touch you? How did you escape? Did they hurt you or hit you? Are you fine?” Jackson bombarded me with different questions. “Stop! I am perfectly fine Jackson. They did try to hurt me but I escaped safely.” I replied and narrated him the whole scene. He listened to me with rapt attention, his expression changing from hurt to shock to anger in nanoseconds. After gauzing his expression I said “I am not as fragile as you think I am.”

As I finished narrating my eyes became watery and he engulfed me in his embrace and a lone tear escaped my eye. I wiped it off saying “Jung kook will be okay. Right?” I asked sobbing. “Yes Y/n he will be alright.” He reassured me.
We sat at the bench outside the OT in complete silence with m in Jackson’s embrace for the whole time. After a couple of hours a doctor emerged from the room and we got up to ask him about Jung kook. “We’ve taken out the two bullets but the third bullet went through his body and caused the most damage to the left artery and resulted in internal bleeding. It missed the heart by a small distance.” The doctor said. “We will watch him for a few hours and then shift him to the ward. His condition is still critical.” He continued. My heart dropped at the last sentence. “But he is out of danger.” He clarified. I heaved a sigh of relief at his statement and sat back down with my brother.
I woke up when the doctors came out form the room along with Jung kook on a stretcher. I approached his body and saw that his face was very pale. My eyes became teary at the sight and then they moved him to the ward room. “He will be asleep for a while. You can meet him when the anesthesia wears off.” The doctor informed us and went on his way. We thanked him and sat outside the ward room.
After some time a nurse came out of the ward room and told us that Jung kook is awake and we can meet him, but he is still weak. I cannot contain my happiness and rushed into the room and saw him lying on the bed in the far end of the room.
I took trembling slow steps towards his bed and saw his pale face. A gasp escaped my mouth. I clasped my hand over my mouth to muffle a sob. A hand caressed my arm and I saw behind me to find my brother supporting me.
Jung kook opened his eyes and looked at me mumbling a small ‘hi’. He tried to lift his hand but it fell back down on the bed.
I sat beside his bed and took his hand in mine and occasionally graced my thumb over his knuckles.
My brother made arrangements to move Jung kook to a VIP room. Jung kook was reluctant at first but after I butted in and convinced him, he finally gave up.

Ancient Bones: The Changed Ones book 1 (Post-Post Apocalypse LitRPG)
Is it truly an RPG Apocalypse... if no one can see the RPG? Generations after the Fall, Mankind has achieved a balance in a world it is no longer the master of. But your prospects in this Malthusian world are limited. Johanna Milton and her friends have an answer: delve into Ancient ruins, avoid Changed beasts and mana pockets, and salvage Ancient materials, collectibles, and trinkets to sell. It pays well if you avoid the perils of the Ancient world. But when they find the skeleton of an Ancient, their lives take a strange turn. Suddenly, Talents straight out of fantasy novels become theirs. While they try to make sense of what happens, eyes turn to them, to the four who seem to break all rules. Or are they merely following them? Because, in the Beyond where he's spent 150 years waiting, one dead Ancient knows the truth. Douglas Moore has played those games often enough when he was alive to make sense of the System that rules the Changed world. He can no longer act on his own, but he has access to the Interface. And four people for which he can bring whatever it takes to face the world. Change is coming. The Changed Ones is a slow-burn litrpg fantasy trilogy (Ancient Bones, Ancient Books, Ancient Bonds) set on Earth, 150 years after the RPG Apocalypse... which mostly failed. It is an homage to the venerable ancient RPGs of the Golden Box era, the Baldur's Gates, and many others, offering adventure where You must gather your party before venturing forth. Keywords: LitRPG, realistic setting, low-leveling, post-post-apocalypse, fantasy earth, slow-burn, secondary POVs, female primary MC, team adventure, worldbuilding. Trigger warnings: casual swearing, adult innuendo (no explicit scenes whatsoever, though). Oh, and potentially a bit of politics. Bonus content: a Litrpg Easter Egg hunt. With lots of eggs across the book, some easy, some hard to find. Current score: 6/20 (20 eggs, 6 found) Publication schedule: on hold until September for book 2.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
