《Don't Leave me (Stranger Things) (Stranger Things character X Reader)》4. The Bathtub

Mike's POV
We got up by the table and El sat at the front of the table. We turned the supercom on and she closed her eyes. Now we had to wait, the only thing we heard was static. The light flickered and she opened her eyes. We all looked at her waiting to see what she had to say. She started to tear up. "I'm sorry." She said. She tried her best. "What? What's wrong? What happened?" Mrs.Byers stammered. "I can't find them." She broke. Mrs.Byers was holding back tears. This wasn't El's fault, it wasn't anybody's. I looked over to Lucas and I noticed he was holding Y/N hand, but I didn't say anything.
El went to the bathroom, and we waited. "What happens if she can't find them?" Y/N said. "She will." I said. "Ya but what if she can't. We can't just sit here. And if we do find them what will we do? I don't know about you guys but I'd like to help out too, no offense to El but she can't just magically get Will and Barbara back, we have to do something to do. ." Y/N did have a point. "Like what about the gate? Me and Lucas found it, but we can't get to it, it's in the lab, and with that much security there's no way we're getting in there." Again she was right. "You kids don't have to worry about that. I'll take care of that. I'll be the one who goes through that gate." The Chief said. "What about the monster?" Nancy said. How did she know about the monster? "It draws blood. We have to have some sort of distraction if it's by Barb or Will." She added.

Eleven's POV
I turned on the sink. I had to find Will and Barbra, everyone cared about them so much. I couldn't let my friends down. I looked up into the mirror and noticed I was crying, I cupped my hands and let the water fill them and rubbed the water on my face. It was time to do this, they couldn't stay in the Upside Down forever, I turned off the water. While stealing into the mirror I noticed the bathtub, gang gave me the idea, what if we made a bathtub and made it like the one at the lab, where I'm in the void and I can see them.
Y/N POV
We had to decide what we were going to do. I didn't wanna waste anymore time, all I know was that Will and Barbra were dying in there every moment we spent not doing something. Lucas tried to comfort me. "Whenever El uses her powers, she gets weaker." Mike said. "The more energy she uses, the more tired she gets." Dustin added. "Like, she flipped the van earlier." Lucas noted. "It was awesome." Dustin agreed. "But she's drained." Mike said. "Like a bad battery." Dustin agreed. "Ya and that's why we need to take matters into our own hands." I said. "Well... how do we make her better?" Mrs.Byers asked. "We don't. We just have to wait and try again." Mike answered. I could barely take this."Mike, I'm sorry but we can't wait forever." I said. "She's right. And, well, how long do we have to wait." Nancy agreed with me. "I don't know." Mike answered.
"The bath." We all turned around, it was El. "What?" Mrs.Byers asked. "I can find them... in the bath." She said. What did she mean? "I know who can help us." Dustin said. "Who?" I asked. "Mr.Clarke." Dustin walked to the phone and called him. It was in a matter of seconds till he answered. "Mr.Clarke? It's Dustin." How did Dustin know his number? "Yeah, yeah. I just, I..." How was he going ask Mr.Clarke about how to build the bath like El said? "I have a science question." There was a short pause. "Do you know anything about sensory deprivation tanks? Specially how to build one?" How was he going to explain why we needed to know how to make a tank anyways? Again there was another short pause. Dustin had better came up with a good response. "Fun." This wasn't going to work. I squeezed Lucas's hand. "You always say we should never stop being curious. To always open up any curiosity door we find. Why are you keeping this curiosity door locked?" There was a pause. "Okay, wait let me get a paper to wright this down." I grabbed him a sheet of paper and Lucas grabbed him a pencil. "Uh-huh. Yep. Okay. Oh. Uh-huh. How much?" Dustin continued to write down. "Uh-huh. Yep, all right. Yeah, we'll be careful. Definitely. All right, Mr.Clarke."

This might actually work. "Yeah, I'll see you on Monday. I'll see you on Monday, Mr.Clarke. Bye." He hung up the phone. "Do you still have that kiddie pool we bobbed for apples in?" Dustin asked Mrs.Byers. "I think so, yeah. Yeah." She responded. "Good. Then we just need salt. Lots of it." What did he mean by 'lots'?" "How much is 'lots?" The Chris was thinking the same thing I was. Dustin looked down to his paper. "1,500 pounds." "Well, where are we gonna get that much salt?" Nancy and I asked.

Gaslgiht
There is a common line of questioning that falls upon students within their first moments at Kingsly. “Why?”. The student asks, “Why am I here?”. This is a futile line of questioning. There are those who remember, and those who do not. I’ll spare you the technical explanation — that’s what we have teachers for. The jist is as follows: those who remember are... how do I put this... more likely. They occupy more time. and the space that time has allowed them — the pertinent amount — is experienced no matter what. Allow me to offer you a bit of personal information: I am not one who remembers. There is no time relevant to me, no space that I occupy. I exist by carving myself here, and continue to exist in the same fashion. You would do well to follow suit. Why am I here? Because I force myself to be. Because the universe, the universes, for all its kicking and screaming, cannot escort me out.
