Dustin's POV
We headed outside. Everyone had there compasses out. Mike let Eleven in the back of his bike. I looked over to Y/N. "Hey, Y/N would you like to ride with me?" I insisted, I was trying to be nice. "Sure." I glanced over to Lucas I could tell he was a little upset. Everyone was ready, Y/N held my compass for me, she told me where to go. It wasn't long till we made it into the forest and we walked our bikes. It had been a while till Lucas spoke. "How much further?" "I don't know. These only tell direction, not distance. You really need to learn more about compasses." "I'm just saying. How do we when we get close to the gate?" There was an obvious answer to that.
"Uh, I think a portal to another dimension is gonna be pretty obvious."
Y/N grinned. She always was cute when she smiled. I looked down to my compass. "Do you think she's acting weird?" I heard Lucas say. "Huh?" "Eleven." "Oh." I turned around and look at at her. "Your asking if the weirdo is acting weird?" "Hey guys just give her a chance." Y/N said. "Sorry, but she is weird, you have to admit it." Lucas said. "Fine." "I mean, weirder than normal?" We kept talking. "I don't know. Who cares?" I said.
The thought popped up inside my head. "Wait, Y/N, didn't you say you saw Will in your dream, right?" I asked. "Yeah, why?" She looked nervously at me. I looked towards Lucas, he looked at me questionably at me. "Wait, Lucas remember when Mr.Clarke went over the science of friendships and crap like that about how they deeply share a bond? What if some how Y/N is so connected with Will that she can see him in some way, but like it's not exact, it's like a guess." He started at me. "Wait, you think I was for real seeing him and what not?" She asked. "Well, I mean it could be off, not exactly what he's going through."

Eleven's POV
I didn't want them to find the gate, I didn't want them to get hurt. I had to constantly rub my nose, I felt weaker every time I moved the magnetic. It was starting to get late, I was getting tired, Mike would listen to me. "Mike." I tugged at his sleeve. He looked at me. "Yeah?" "Turn back." "What? Why?" "I'm tired." "Look I'm sure we're almost there. Just hold on a little longer, okay?" I really was getting tired. We shouldn't find the gate, it'd be dangerous. I had to lie even though he was my friend.
Lucas's POV
We made it to a junkyard. "Oh, no." Dustin said as he stopped in his tracks. What did he mean? "'Oh, no' What's, 'Oh, no'?" He turned to me. "We're heading back home." "What?" Mike scoffed. "Are you sure?" "Yeah, I'm sure." "How do you know?"
Y/N asked. "Setting sun, right there. We looped right back around." I was ticked off, we went out here for nothing. "And you're just now realizing this now?" "Why is this all on me? Y/N told me where to go in the beginning." I regretted saying that, I probably hurt her. "Don't blame this on us, specially not Y/N, she was trying to help anyways! And besides your the compass genius!" I yelled. Y/N didn't say a word, I could tell she was sorta hurt. "What does yours say?" He acted like he didn't hurt her. "North." Me and Mike said. Y/N still was silent. "Makes no d*nm sense." "Maybe the gate moved." Mike tried helping the situation. "No, I don't think it's the gate. I think it's something else screwing with the compasses." "Maybe it's something here." Mike suggested. "No, it has to be some kind of super magnet." I turned to Eleven, it made sense now. "It's not a magnet."
