《One-Shots (Stranger Things Cast x Reader)》Banter

Reader's POV.
I was finally allowed back out. After coming home drunk again. Partying too much with the group leaving me toxicated. I was acting so silly. At least I remember. I didn't make too much of a foul of myself, I hope not.
I texted the girls first to get a girls meet up.
Ugh! My mom had a go at me again. I came home drunk and she was mad at me. Luckily she allowed me out until 6. So what you two want to do? x
I waited for a response. My notification went off and both of the girls were sending me gifs and messages.
Oh my! You were so funny last night. I had to excuse you from the party before you ruined yourself. x
So funny. I can't believe you're allowed out. Let's go somewhere I hate being in. Don't tag the boys in. Just us girls. x
Yeah, no boys. I may need a girly chat. I can't face the boys with what happened. And you have to catch me up on what happened. I can't remember clearly. c
No probs, (y/n). We'll catch you up on everything. x
Even the little things x
Sadie! x
What? What happened? x
You'll find out soon x
I think I'm dreading this moment. I arranged the meeting with the girls and head off to meet them. I didn't make a move on anyone? I didn't makeout with anyone did I? If I did, I would never face them. Oh God! I feel my world crashing down.
(12pm)
I met the girls up, by a nearby cafe in town. Not too far from home so I don't have long walk home.
"Okay! I can't keep quiet! What happened last night. Please. My brain is hurting too much from all the stressing." I beg.

"Hold up! No need to stress." Millie tells.
"Yeah. It wasn't that bad." Millie and Sadie gave one another a look. More like a glance and their eyes eyeballing as if they were talking with their eyes.
"Please!" I raise my voice a little. People turning and peering at me. I felt insecure and moved my head further into my shoulders.
"So... Yesterday..." Sadie begun telling me."The boys came round."
"Yes I know that." I answer nodding.
"Well, finn brought round a new friend of his. His name was something like..."
"What was it?"
"What?" I ask.
"I think it was Wyatt!" Millie spoke.
"Oh yeah. Thanks. Yeah. So Wyatt was there and you...."
"Oh no. I didn't...." They pause. What was they expecting me to say. "Did I do something embarrassing? Please girls!" They share a look and Sadie leans forward.
She lightly whispered into my ears and my jaw dropped. NO!
"Speaking of... Here he is." Millie points out. I stood up and turn and there Wyatt stood. I froze to the spot. What the hell did I do and why did I do that? I was more nervous now than before.
"Hey, (y/n)" I didn't move. My whole body was solid. Move Y/N. God damn it.
"Pardon our friend. She is a little hung over. Besides we have somewhere to go. You two catch up." Millie and Sadie decided to leave. I chase after them. Stopping them and begging them not to leave me alone. Millie nods and tells me to stop panicking. It's just a little flirting. No harm in that. But I can't flirt.
I turn and face Wyatt. He had my bag and smiled. Handing me it and giving me a polite smile. I nervously smiled back. I was so embarrassing last night. Imagine me. Stripping in front of the boys. Especially Wyatt. There is no way I can undo my mistakes. But if Wyatt likes me back then I should go for it. Should I?

Flashback: Siren Song
The year is 1969. Yancy Lazarus—bluesman, gambler, future world-class mage and fix-it man—is just a dumb, unlucky kid serving with the 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines in Vietnam. With just a few weeks left to go until Yancy gets shipped back to the States, he’s just trying to keep his head down and avoid a body bag—no mean feat in Nam. But when his squad is tasked with conducting a routine patrol deep in enemy territory, everything goes to nine kinds of hell, and he quickly sees his chances at survival slipping away. When the radio operators start to pick up some funky, dirty ol’ blues all the way out in the backcountry, it’s a nice change of pace. At least until the men in Yancy’s squad start losing their minds, turning on each other with murderous intent as the music works its deadly power within them. Convinced it’s some kind of new psychological warfare initiative, the squad leader forces the men to push deeper and deeper into the Vietnamese jungle, obsessed with locating the music’s source. What they find, however, isn’t some new technology, but an ancient spirit awoken by the terrible war. Even worse, the music is changing Yancy too, awakening something buried inside of him. Only one thing is certain, nothing is ever going to be the same.See how it all began … *** PRAISE FOR SIREN SONG:Hunter's writing is as low-down, gritty, and insidious as the blues Yancy Lazarus loves. Just like the mysterious music drifting through the jungle toward Yancy's squad, Siren Song will get under your skin and sink its hooks into your mind. —eden Hudson, Author of Halo Bound (the Redneck Apocalypse series) *** Hey everyone, this is James Hunter. This story isn't a full length novel--its a novella length work (25K words), and is part of my Yancy Lazarus series.
