His phone rang and he immediately answered seeing Logan was the one calling.

"Lo!?" He answered frantically.

"It's us..." Virgil replies.

"Virg!" Patton cried.

"Logan left us a message on his phone telling us to call you before we run...h-he left the door unlocked so we could run." Patton pulled the phone from his ear and pulled up Logan's location on his phone.

"He's smart...he knows we have each other's locations on. I'm coming kiddos, just hide when you run okay?" He said quickly grabbing his keys. "Stay on the call with me." Patton got in the car and drove quickly to get Roman. He honked and Roman came running out.

"What the hell Patton!" He shouted.

"Get in! It's an emergency!" Roman got in immediately, Patton threw his phone at Roman and Roman looked at the caller ID. His eyes widened.

"Lo?" He asked.

"N-No it's Virgil." Roman looked at Patton as they sped to the location the phone was giving them.

"Kiddos, are you out of the house?" Patton asked.

"Yes, we snuck out quickly I..." Virgil sounded like he was crying. "I think they were.."

"They were definitely having sex Virgil." Janus grumbled.

"Hey! It's not like Logan wanted that!" Virgil yelled at him.

"Okay, but that's definitely what we heard." He grumbled. Patton wiped his face of tears and looked at Roman.

"Kiddos, where are you?" He asked. Patton slowly turned off his headlights as the drove closer to the house.

"Sitting in the bushes..." Virgil said.

"We are outside the house...come get in the car." Patton said quickly. Roman slowly opened the door, the two kids ran towards the car and Roman quickly closed the door. He immediately flinched when it slammed shut. Oh fuck.

"Patton, get them out of here!" Roman ran towards the front of the house. "Patton, trust me." Patton bit his lip and drove off leaving Roman alone on the steps of the house. Oh god what did he just do.

"PATTON!" Virgil cried in horror. "We can't leave him there!"

"It's fine, remus won't do anything." Patton wiped his tears.

"How are you so sure! He could hurt Roman like he's hurting Logan!" Janus cried. Patton cringed.

"Okay, gross. No he won't do that. Roman is Remuss brother." Patton said quickly. "We have to get you two to the hospital..."

"HES WHAT!" both Janus and Virgil cried. Patton shakily drove them to the hospital.

"Come on, we need to get you both seen." He helped them out and Virgil wiped his tears.

"What if they think you did this?" Virgil asked. "You'll be wrongfully arrested Patton your school-."

"Kiddo, the school has a bad reputation right now..most of the kid's have dropped out. If word gets out I got arrested even if it's wrongful the schools going to go down anyways." Patton laughed and wiped his face. "Dad would be so mad at me..."

"Then leave Patton, me and Janus can take care of eachother. Please go after Logan and Roman. Please." Patton smiled and nodded his head.

"I'll come back for you kiddos." He left the hospital as fast as he could. He got into his car and drove immediately towards Remuss place. Once there he jumped out of the car and ran to the door. Before he could knock Remus threw the door open and dragged him inside. Patton gasped in pain as he was thrown to the ground. He looked up fearfully at Remus who locked the door. "How could you do this! You have always been so good remus!" Remus scoffed.

"Oh please, like you give a shit." Remus walked over and grabbed Patton's arm harshly dragging him to a hidden door, throwing him into the room. Patton looked around and saw Logan cleaning up Romans face.

"Remus, what do you think your-."

"Where are they patton?" Remus asked. Patton shook his head.

"Remus, they're just kids!" Patton backed away.

"Where. Are. They!" He shouted. He got closer and backed Patton into a wall. Patton stared at him in fear. He shoved his hands through Patton's hair and tightly gripped, forcing his head back into the wall. Patton cried out. "I won't ask you again Patton. Where are they!"

"Somewhere far away from you!" He cried. Remus shoved him back again and stormed from the room. Patton collapsed to the ground shaking.

"Pat?" Logan asked. Patton looked up.

"Sorry Lo....it's alright." Patton stood up and sat down next to him as Logan tried to clean up romans face some more. "What happened?" Logan looked down at Roman.

"When roman was outside knocking Remus knew something was wrong...he went and found out that Virgil and Janus escaped while we..." Logan looked down. "He got angry and he threw me back in here when he went to deal with Roman. I heard the yelling and I heard a loud bang and then the door opened and he threw Roman in here knocked out." Patton looked at Logan sadly. He held his hand.

"You know, they're safe because you helped them escape Lo." Patton squeezed his hand. "And no matter what you did with Remus, they will not hate you for it, me and Roman won't either."

"But Patton-."

"No. You don't need to talk about what happened Lo. I heard from Janus what was going on..." Patton moved hair from Logan's face. "And no, I don't hate you for it."

"Thank you Patton." Logan looked at Roman. "I don't know if he's okay..." Patton looked at Logan.

"Have you gotten any sleep?" Patton asked.

"I...not really." Logan looked at his hands. "The first night of me being here I was trying to keep Virgil away from Remus and then I...well distracted him to help them escape....I haven't really thought of sleep."

"I'll stay up to help Roman, you need sleep Lo. Lay down on the couch over there I'll wake you if he comes back, and no this isn't up for debate." Logan chuckled and walked over taking off his glasses.

"Alright Patton, but you wake me up as soon as Roman wakes." Soon after Logan was asleep. Patton sighed. What changed in Remus so much from when they first met to now that caused him to become a criminal?

A few years ago:

Patton bounced over to the new kid sitting in his dads office. Patton often sat in his dads office when he had lunch block. He often sat with the other kids that were sent to the office for being trouble. He was a weird teenager who liked making friends with everyone as the secretary had told him. He was a lover who could blame him? The kid just stared at him oddly.

"Uhm...hello?" He chuckled at Patton who had sat down and was coloring something. Patton smiled.

"Hello! I'm Patton!" He shook his hand. The kid laughed.

"You don't really care for personal space much do you kid?" He asked.

"We're the same age." Patton scoffed.

"Okay but clearly you are a kid." The kid continued holding a tissue to his nose.

"Ooh did you get into a fight! Fighting is so bad!" Patton squealed. The kid laughed.

"Yeah, I did. But for your information, he came at me first." The kid looked away. Patton sighed.

"Your holding pressure on your nose wrong, it'll never stop bleeding that way." Patton pulled out some more tissues. "May I?" He also pulled out a first aid kit. The kid raised an eyebrow.

"Okay what are you the nurses assistant or something jeez kid..." Patton laughed.

"No, I'm just extremely accident prone." Patton helped the kid take care of the nose and then helped him with some of his other cuts.

"Thanks." He smiled. "My names Remus." Patton smiled.

"Yay!" He giggled. "I'm sure we'll be great friends!"

"You want to be friends with me?" He asked. Patton smiled and nodded.

"Absolutely!" Remus laughed again.

"Alright then." They laughed for a bit longer before the bell rang.

"Well, I have to go to class now! Nice meeting you remus! Hope to see you again soon! Don't forget to text!" Patton bounced out of the office smiling. His first friend.

The door clicked open and Patton opened his eyes. Remus stood in the doorway. Patton looked at Logan and Roman who were asleep and then back at Remus.

"I'm not waking them up." Patton got up and walked towards the kitchen area in the room.

"Ignoring me Pat? Really?" Remus asked as he got closer. Patton froze. He turned around and glared.

"Don't. Call. Me. That." He growled. "Only my friends can call me that and you most certainly are not!"

"Don't you remember, I was your only friend Patton!" He cried. Patton shook his head.

"Y-You've changed Remus! And not for the better!" Remus sighed.

"Come on don't be like them..." he shook his head. "Don't do that to me! I came back home didn't I? So we could be friends again! You let me teach! You kept me around! Do you just not care about me anymore?" Patton wiped his face of tears.

"You hurt my students! You hurt Lo! How could you!? You hurt your own brother as well! I can never forgive you for this! Let us go!" Patton was screaming now. Remus shoved Patton against the wall and Patton whimpered in fear. "Please Remus..."

"No. In fact, if you three say anything about this to anyone when we go to work I'll just make things worse." Remus stormed out. Patton dropped to the ground and started crying heavily.

"Patton?" Patton looked up and saw Roman sitting up. "What happened! What did he do!" Roman went to get up but Patton ran over and shook his head.

"Your still hurt please don't move." Patton shoved him back down.

"Patton what did remus just do? Why were you crying?" He asked.

"He said that if we don't stay here and do as he says, he'll make things worse. Meaning he'll probably go after Virgil and Janus again..." Patton looked at the door. "Ro, I don't want him to hurt those kids anymore..."

"We can't just stay here and let him do what he pleases Patt...that's insane!" Roman shouted. Patton flinched.

"We can still go back to school and teach, but he wants us to stay here once we are done...he doesn't want us telling anyone...Ro, he'll hurt those kids." Patton looked up at Roman.

"Patton...we can't let him get away with this!" Roman cried.

"Ro we can't tell anyone..." Patton pulled his knees to his chest.

"We can figure out another way to stop him! I'm not letting hurt logan like that again! I won't let him hurt you either! And I most certainly won't let him near those kids that I promise!" He sat down next to Patton on the floor, he leaned in and kissed Patton. "Get some rest, it'll be okay." Patton leaned into Roman.

"It's fine, we should...we should..." he yawned and fell asleep leaned into Roman.
