"Yo I can't believe you here." I say, throwing my arms around an old friend.
"You know I had to come see my big head bestie." Jada smiles, before hugging me again.
I suck my teeth before chuckling slightly. "So how everything been going movie star? Ran off and got all over the big screen huh?"
"Good, good. I been so damn busy that it's crazy. You know ian lying or I woulda came to see you way sooner." She says, sitting in the chair across from me at my desk.
"I know. It's all good. I been busy myself." I sigh, making her raise a brow.
Jada and I have been friends as long as I can remember. When shit was real tough during my teen years she was always there to keep me level headed. She kept me out of alot of trouble, lord only knows where I'd be if it wasn't for her.
I haven't seen her in about six months which is the longest we ever been apart. I definitely missed her and her smart mouth.
"Oh really? Cause a little birdie told me you almost got yo ass got about a month ago." She says, crossing her legs.
"Yea yea. But I'm done with that shit now. It's getting real out here, gotta keep a low profile." I say, making Jada roll her eyes.
"We both know you ain't keeping a low nothing. So what? The club totally legit now?"
"Yea fa the most part."
"I know you miss that money Pac." She chuckles, making me sigh.
"Hell yea. How do mothafuckas live like this?" I laugh, "Welcome to the normal life sweetie, everybody ain't out here bustin up in people's houses and shit." She smirks.
"Woah ian never bust in nobody crib."
"Member ole dude from fifth?" She raises a brow.
I laugh again. "That was one time come on now, and that nigga was talking so much smack. I had to do it."
"Yea whatever. So where's the shorty?" Jada asks, getting up from her seat and pacing around the room.
"Home. I been giving her space."
Jada and me talk about everything. So when shit went up in flames with Adrienne a while back she was my first call. She ain't really know how to help, and not to mention she barely had time to talk, but it was good to have somebody to tell.
"Well. I need to meet her, see what she got going on ya dig."
I suck my teeth. "Really ain't a good time. I don't know if we in a place where she'll believe that you just my home girl. She already think I'm a lying piece of shit." I chuckle.
"You are. But come on man we ain't got nothing to hide. Besides, I could probably make things a lil better. You know how I do." She smiles, I wave her off.
"Yea igh. But please don't piss her off."
"I won't."

I pull my hair into a ponytail and give myself some baby hairs.
Pac has been gone about three hours or so, which gave me plenty of time to do some cleaning around his house. For somebody that lived alone, his house is too damn messy.
I go into the kitchen where a pot of water is boiling. I pour the water into a mug of hot chocolate mix before stirring it together with a spoon.
"Amazinggg." I sing to myself after taking a quick sip and placing the mug on the counter.
The doorbell rings making me furrow my eyebrows. That can't be Pac cause he has a key.
Right when I get to the door it opens, revealing a pretty brightskinned girl with short hair, Lesane coming in behind her. I back away from the door a little as my eyes meet with the woman's.
"Oh my goodness gracious she is fine." She says, before lunging towards me and wrapping her arms around me.
Pac chuckles nervously as she let's me go.
"Baby this is Jada, my best friend. Jay this is Adrienne, my-"
"Boo thang!" She squeals, interrupting him.
"Girl he talks about you sooo much. You really got him in love huh?" Jada smiles, making my cheeks burn.
"Umm I-"
"You making her nervous, give her some space." Pac says, pulling Jada by her arm a little, she swats at him.
"Boy fuck you. Let's go girlie we got alot to talk about." She says, before walking past me and heading towards the kitchen. I look at Lesane who has a knowing look on his face.
"She's.. alot." He chuckles, before placing a kiss on my forhead. "If you need to get away from her I'll be be in my room." He says, before grabbing his pager off the couch and heading upstairs.
As I walk into the kitchen I can hear cabinets opening and closing.
"Ouu girl, yall got hella snacks. Pac don't never keep snacks. You definitely doing something right." She laughs, opening a bag of chips.
She looks so damn familiar.
"So how long have you and Lesane been friends?" I ask, picking up my mug of hot chocolate and sipping it.
"Like forever. I can't remember a time where we wasn't friends." She says, munching on the chips.
"He's never talked about you. He keeps so many damn secrets from me." I roll my eyes, making her laugh a little.
"Tupac is real.. well I won't say he secretive. He's just private ya know. He only tell people what he thinks they need to know. He always been like that though."
"Hm." I say, absorbing the new information.
"But enough about that pickle head boy, tell me something about you chic. All I know is that you're gorgeous, used to be a banker, and got a fat ass. Tupac's words, not mine."
I laugh, those are definitely his words.
"Well, there really isn't much to tell. I'm kinda boring compared to you and him." I say.

"Uhn uhn, there's gotta be something. Spill the tea.. well the hot chocolate." She smirks, making me chuckle again.
"I'm a writer. I've actually been working on a novel. It's been on pause for a while with the whole me and Lesane thing going on.."
"Ouu what's it about?"
"Murder mystery, it has a good amount of sex though." I say, whispering the last bit. "Sex writer? I love it. I need that book like now!" She squeals, making me shush her playfully.
"Sorry." She smiles.
"God you look so familiar but I cannot for the life of me put my finger on where I've seen you." I say, placing my mug on the counter again and reaching into the cabinet for a bag of chips.
"How about.. TV?" She suggests, I slap my forhead softly."Oh my gosh, duh. You were in Menace to Society." I say, feeling my eyes light up briefly.
"Yea. We just wrapped up filming another movie the other day, I'm so damn glad to be done." She blows out a breath before stuffing another chip into her mouth. I fight the urge to ask her all kinds of questions about being an actress, instead I stick with simple questions.
"So.. you got a boyfriend?"
Jada's face flushes pink making me smile.
"Girl yes." She says, sitting down at the kitchen table, making me do the same. "His name is Will, and he is just the most adorable thing ever." She says, resting her elbow on the table and her chin in her hand.
Relief floods through me.
"When did yall meet?"
"Umm about a year ago.. I was.. I was auditioning for this part and I met him on the set. We clicked like instantly. It still feels like it was yesterday." She coos, making me smile. That's so sweet, if only me and Pac met in a more... traditional way.
"Yall met on set. So he's an actor too?"
"Yup. Actually, you might know him, well not know him know him but like, you may have heard of him. Will Smith." She says, crumbling up the chip bag before getting up from the table and throwing it away.
"Shoot. Umm. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air?"
"That's the one."
"Ouu he is cute. I bet yall look so fucking sexy together." I chuckle, so does she.
"Who cute?" Pac asks, walking into the kitchen and opening the fridge.
"None of your damn business. We were having girl talk, go away." Jada says, rolling her eyes playfully. Pac sucks his teeth. "Don't have my woman fantasizing about other niggas in here." He says, before sitting down at the table with us with a beer in his hand.
"Ain't nobody fantasizing, we talking about Will." She says.
Pac nods. "Ohh. Lanky dude. Yea he look igh I guess."
I laugh, but Jada rolls her eyes again.
Pac glances at me and winks, making my face heat up.
Things between us are slowly getting back to normal. The last week or so has been great, he's been home from BC at a reasonable time everyday and he's kept his promise about what I asked.
Speaking of BC, he hired new construction workers because the other guys worked too slow, and apparently he changed his mind about it just being a kitchen remodel. Now the whole club is getting re done, I bet it's gonna be really nice. He won't let me come see.
"Well, I gotta get outta here. I got other people to visit before I head back to Cali." Jada says, getting up from the table and grabbing her keys.
I pout slightly.
It's been a while since I've had another woman to talk to.
"I love you." Jada says, hugging Pac tightly and rocking back and forth. "Love you too light bright." He chuckles, letting go.
"And as for you pretty lady, tell Pac to give you my number so we can chat it up sometimes." She says, before throwing her arms around me and squeezing tightly.
"Okay." I chuckle.
"Igh, ima catch yall later." She says, heading towards the door.
"Call me when you get back." Lesane says, she just waves him off before leaving, closing the door behind her.
"Why have you never mentioned her to me?" I ask, turning to Pac, who's taking off his shirt.
He just shrugs.
"I figured yall would meet eventually. Ain't seem necessary." He says, throwing his shirt at me.
"Oh." I say, taking the shirt in my hands and bringing it to my nose. I inhale deeply, it smells like saw dust and his cologne. Anything is better than gun powder and the metallic smell of blood.
"Stop being a creep." He chuckles, snatching the shirt from me and heading upstairs.
"I'm not a creep." I say, following close behind him.
"Yea whatever, you showering with me tonight? Or you getting your freak on alone?" He asks, making me laugh.
"I'm showering alone. Thank you. But not because I wanna get my freak on or whatever you said." I say, rolling my eyes before jogging past him.
Sometimes I think about how me and Pac still haven't had sex yet.. and he hasn't complained. I mean I kinda feel bad that I've kept him waiting, but he doesn't push.
We've had our intimate moments, but he's always the one to stop it, and I'm always sort of relieved that he does.
"Don't be tryna beat me to the shower." He chuckles, grabbing my arm.
"But you always use all the hot water." I whine, fighting him off.
"Shit. Guess you showering with me then."

Gateway
An archaeologist by the name of Søren Quinn wakes up elsewhere after boarding a plane for Iceland. Now he has to come to terms with a significant loss of recent memory and his apparent death and rebirth, provided he can survive the rigors of the Tutorial on Gateway Station and whatever waits for him after the Tutorial. Updates. When I can... sorry. Author's Note. Gateway is a portal/isekai style GameLit novel, but it has two main lead characters and will eventually have a small cast of minor lead characters to support them. There will be small elements of base building / kingdom management added as well over time, but they will not be the focus. Gateway really is a slow burn that takes some time to get going unfortunately, but I hope you find it's worth the wait. Thank you! p.s. Book One is finally done (only needed one more chapter unfortunately...) but I'm off hiatus now and will be starting on Book Two right away!

My submission for the January Writing Contest POWER of the SUN is a Cells at Work-inspired comedy short story about a hydrogen atom that goes on an adventure trying to stop the sun from going out. This story contains some mild profanity and dumb hijinks, Not everything is serious throughout this story and some things will not be explained because I do not care. Enjoy the story!

God of Thieves
Matsumoto Kunio was just an average human living a boring life in Tokyo, Japan. That was the case until he died and was reincarnated to another world! Armed with a System and tasked with a mission to save the world, watch as Matou, the new name he was given, sets off on an epic adventure! …Or at least, that should have happened? “All right, hand me the thingamabob, you’re no longer the main character! Now, how does this thing work? Ah. “My name is Kayden, and witness my ascendance to the God of Thieves! None shall be safe from my hands, not even your beloved System! Muahahahaha!” This can’t be happening… Author’s note. Hi, this novel is a LitRPG novel. In case you are confused, both Kayden and Matou are main characters, but the ‘protagonist’ would be Kayden. The novel is pretty slow-paced (in my opinion), so do keep that in mind when reading. This is my first novel, so do leave reviews and comments on how to improve my writing. Be nice about it. Also, I recently added the profanity tag. There is some swearing but it's not excessive or anything. Adding it just in case. Taking a one week break! Basically until my exams are over.
