You were all three: the pencil, the eraser, and the pen.

You first came in as a pencil,

and wrote on my heart with love and happiness.

Then, the eraser came in,

erasing all that you had previously drawn.

And the part that hurt the most?

Was when you used your pen,

and wrote pain and emptiness in the spots which you had erased.

But you see, pen is permanent.
