she was a daisy,
bright and beautiful.
he was a thundercloud,
ready to strike.
she broke through his clouds
and brightened his skies.
but, in the worst situations,
darkness tends to swallow the light.
at first her mind wandered the waves,
barely touching the surface.
though in the end,
her heart sank to the bottom.
too deep for anyone to reach.
