《TNS Piper Season 8 (Must Read)》It all comes down to this (pt 4) Finale

Piper's POV:
"We've got this guys!" Amy said, enthusiastically, as we all headed to a rehearsal room to begin practicing for the ten person group dance.
"Yeah, all we gotta do is win this round then Piper and Finn have to win their duet, then we'll have the title of winning Nationals!" Kenzie said, excitedly, as she inserted the CD into the stereo.
We were doing a hip-hop dance to the song 'Dangerous' and it was awesome! We went through it a couple of times before deciding to go to the cafeteria.
"The Next Step, more like the Next Misstep." A guy said, mocking what Federico said to us on the first round of Dancemania.
"Hmmm, and who might you be?" Summer asked with a fake smile. "We're from Confidance dance academy, and you're up against us next. Don't expect to win, you have no idea what you're up against." A girl replied from beside the guy.
"Walk. Away." Richelle said, standing in front of the girl. She and the guy scoffed and walked off, annoyed yet intimidated by Richelle. "The nerve of some people." I said, as we made our way to get food and just chill.
Soon, we had to go back to wardrobe and get dressed into our costumes; before we knew it, we were back in the wings waiting to take the stage.
"Okay, everyone! We've got this, forget about those other people, we are going to win this! We have made it so far and we can't back down now! Those people underestimated us and now we have to show them who's boss. We can do it, so don't mess this up, guys. We need 150% from every single one of you guys. Got it?" Richelle said, her dance captaincy showing proud.
As we were talking and marking through our dance, I saw that guy from earlier, talking to his friend and they kept looking over at us, but I shrugged it off.
I wasn't going to let anyone get in my head before this performance- I've got to give 150% to this dance.
"Amy, your hair piece is broken." Lily said to Amy, who looked slightly panicked. "Don't worry, there's another one on the desk just in the corner there." Summer replied, pointing to a table with our makeup brushes and spare hair pieces on it.
"Okay thanks!" She said to Summer. "Want me to help you, Ames?" I asked but she smiled and shook her head. "Nah, it's okay, I'll be back in a minute." She said, as she started to make her way to the table.
I was smoothing out Finn's shirt and laughing with the team when I heard Amy's voice.
"No, that was a long time ago. Now, please leave me alone." I heard her say and when I finally spotted her, near a door, I saw her talking to some boy.

He was the friend of the guy that was mocking us earlier. He looked really familiar, now that I took a good look at him, but I couldn't put my finger on who this guy was.
Amy's POV:
I walked down to the table, turning back a few times to pull silly faces at Piper, making her laugh at me.
I thankfully found another hair piece easily, and quickly replaced it in my hair.
There! It looked perfect.
As I turned back to go and join my team, a cold hand grabbed onto my arm and tugged me towards the door.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" I shouted as I yanked my hand out of the guy's grip.
'What is with people these days?' I thought to myself before taking a good look at the guy and taking staggered steps back in shock.
"Ty?" I breathed out.
I haven't seen this guy ever since I left Acronation. I remember breaking off whatever we had, informing Thalia that I was leaving, ignoring the look of anger and betrayal on Ty's face and just focusing on Thalia's disappointed yet supportive words.
I walked out of there without looking back, heading for TNS to beg Michelle and Emily to let me back on the team. Ever since that day, I hadn't seen Ty again, of course until now.
"Listen Amy, I forgive you for betraying Acronation, but please join my new team. I'm a part of Confidance and we could use a new female dancer. You could be in the spotlight and everything and we could get back together too." He said proudly as I just gaped at him.
I mean, were we ever actually together?
"No, Ty, you need to move on, this just seems too desperate." I said, trying to take a step back but he held onto my hand, begging me to take him back.
I thought of Henry and how sweet of a boyfriend he was, and I knew that I'd never leave him for this guy.
"No, that was a long time ago. Now, please leave me alone." I said, quite desperately, I needed to get back to the team, but he wouldn't let go of my hand and he wouldn't stop begging me to get back with him.
What is it with desperate ex's these days?!
I turned around, trying to look for something to throw at this fool when I made eye contact with Piper. 'Help' I mouthed to her, pleading her silently, as she nodded understandingly.
When I glanced at the idiot at my feet, I rolled my eyes, before facing Piper again to see her coming over with Henry and Richelle, with the rest of the team glaring at Ty.
"Get your filthy hands off of my girlfriend." Henry shouted, shoving him backwards, harshly.

I hugged him and Piper tightly as they dragged me back to the rest of the team, leaving Richelle with Ty.
"You disgust me. Try that again, and you'll leave this place with a broken arm." I heard her hiss at Ty before stomping her way back to us.
"Come on guys, let's go through this dance one more time, we need to show up the people here." Richelle said, before clapping her hands. We went through our dance, making sure it was flawless, ignoring Confidance on the stage.
"Let's see what The Next Step will do now!" Chuck said as we all high fived each other and took the stage.
The music started and we finished our routine perfectly, laughing at the screams from the crowd, mostly coming from Riley, Michelle, Emily and James.
"The winner of this round is..." The announcer as we held onto each other. I glanced at Confidance and Ty smirked at me, as I glared back at him.
"The Next Step!" He shouted and Ty's face was priceless. They looked shocked and outraged as we just ignored them and cheered before running off the stage.
"Well done guys, you did great!" Nick exclaimed as we all had a group hug. "Alright, Piper and Finn, you have to win this round and when you do, we win nationals. Got it?" Nick said to Piper and Finn, as they nodded and gazed at each other.
They are so cute together!
I know that they can win, I know that we are going to win nationals!
Piper's POV:
This is it.
It all comes down to this.
If me and Finn perform the duet of our lives, then we will win nationals, and we'll be on our way to internationals! We have to do this.
The next day:
"Come on Finn, let's go rehearse." I said to him, standing up as he nodded, enthusiastically and stood up too.
Our duet was to the song 'No problems' and it was really cool, there were a lot of tricks in this dance too.
We were also up against a studio called Moxie Moves Dance Studio and we were neck and neck.
"If you think you can beat us, then you're delusional." A female voice said.
Speak of the devil.
This girl was from our rival studio and I guess she was trying to intimidate us but it wasn't working, she just sounded pathetic.
Finn stepped forward about to defend us but I interrupted him. "You're not special, our studio is an internationals winning studio, bet you can't say the same for yours." I said, sassily, crossing my arms as I gave her a pointed look.
She glared at me and I knew that I hit a nerve. Her studio was famous for always coming second or third at nationals and never making it to internationals.
She huffed and stormed off as me and Finn gave each other looks and burst out laughing.
After a few hours of chilling with the team and rehearsing, me and Finn headed to wardrobe for the last time. We stood in the wings, getting pep talks from the team as I tried to shake my nerves away, not caring about the team currently performing.
"It all comes down to this, guys." Heath said as we nodded. Chuck called us out onto the stage and I gave Finn a determined smile as we held hands.
"Wish us luck, guys!" Finn said, before kissing my forehead. The team yelled and cheered for us as we took the stage.
As we got into position, the music started and a genuinely confident smile lit up my face. We hit every move, trick and flip flawlessly and hit our final poses with confidence.
There was a standing ovation as Finn hugged me tightly and we held hands, waiting to hear if we had won.
"The winners of this years nationals, the team going onto internationals is..." The announcer started as me and Finn crossed our fingers and squeezed our eyes closed. I was praying furiously in my mind, begging God to let us win.
"THE NEXT STEP!"
The announcer yelled out, as screams erupted from the audience and A troupe.
"We did it, Pipes! We really did it!" Finn yelled, joyfully, from beside me as he swung me around.
"We won nationals, Finn!" I squealed, as he set me down on my feet and he leaned in.
Our lips connected as we kissed passionately- the crowds cheering immensely and A troupe yelling out aw's.
When we hugged again, A troupe sprinted on stage as Richelle and Amy took the trophy from the judges and we cheered, jumping up and down.
We did it, we won nationals!
Next up, internationals! Let's do this!
