《TNS Piper Season 8 (Must Read)》I was so worried!

Still Piper's POV:
Deciding to go with my current plan, I slowly rolled the window down, still thinking about climbing out of it.
Thank God I'm small!
I stuck my legs out of the window and climbed out, sticking my hand back in to roll the window back up, so that Josh wouldn't immediately realise that I was missing. I rolled it up as far as I could without cutting off my arm before deciding to leave it.
Let me tell you, that was not easy, because I had to manually roll it up but I ignored it, and scurried in between cars from the middle if the highway that I was in.
People looked at me weirdly, with flashes of concern at my outfit choices and the fear in my eyes. When I got to the side of the highway, I sprinted.
I didn't know where I was going but I just ran like my life depended on it, because it did! Luckily, I was wearing my jazz shoes, so at least I wasn't completely barefoot.
After about 10 minutes of senseless running, I stopped on the middle of a forest clearing. I unlocked my phone and hit James's number.
"Pipes! Dear God! I was so worried! Where are you?! Is that guy with you?! When I get my hands on that motherf-" James yelled as I smiled a bit at the last part, knowing that a string of cuss words were going to leave his mouth, so I interrupted him.
"James, I'm fine. I don't know where I am though. I just got out of the car and ran. Oh my days, I don't know where I am. I'm lost! What if I don't get back on time?! What if I never make it back?! James, what do I do?!" I said, panicking, and pulling at my hair.
"Pipes, calm down. I know how you are, so I know that you would have memorized Josh's registration plate number, so text that to me. Amy and Richelle have gone driving around, keeping a lookout for you, so get to a street- any street, call one of them and tell them where you are. They can put it into google maps and come and get you, okay?" James replied, as I nodded taking in his words, even though he couldn't see me.
"Okay James, but don't tell anyone, I wouldn't want people to worry." I said, not wanting people to panic, especially Henry, since he was performing first thing tomorrow morning.
"Oooh! Too late, Pipes. Sorry, Finn and me were panicking." He replied, but something about what he said was bugging me.
"Its actually 'Finn and I', not whatever you just said." I corrected, with a sheepish smile on my face.
There was silence on the other side, until I heard James start laughing.
"Seriously Pipesqueak? You are in the middle of only God knows where, and you're worrying about grammatical errors?" He asked in disbelief.
"Oooh, grammatical. That's a big word, James." I mocked whilst giggling, forgetting for a minute where I was and the situation that I was in.
"Shut up, Pipes. I'll get you back for that, don't even worry about it. Anyways, aren't you cold, you told me that you were having a dress rehearsal?" He asked, as I looked down at my pale, almost blue arms and legs. "Yeah, sorry, I'll send you the registration number, but what are you doing right now?" I asked, remembering the number and sending it to James.
"Me and Finn found Elliot, who was trying to sneak away, and we're holding him here, in some practice room. We won't beat him until you get here though." He responded, as I sighed with relief. At least Elliot's not on the run.

"Okay, I'm going to call Amy now. Bye big bro." I said, sighing and rubbing my arms for some sort of warmth. "Okay, I'm gonna call the police to get Josh, so see ya, baby sis." He said, as I rolled my eyes and cut the call.
"I'm not a baby." I grumbled. "Yes you are." James said, laughing. "I didn't cut the call?!" I exclaimed, as he said "no" whilst laughing.
We said goodbye and I called Amy, as I walked out of the forest and up to some street sign. It turns out that I'm in 'Eastheart Avenue', wherever that is.
"Hello? Ames?" I said, looking around. "Piper?! Are you okay?! I wanted to call you but I didn't want to get you into problems with Josh! I didn't know where you were, or if you even had your phone or-" She rambled, as I heard Richelle grumbling as she took the phone out of Amy's hand ignoring her protests.
"Hey Pipes, are you okay?" Richelle asked as I said "yes", and explained how I got out of the car. "Okay, do you know where you are, or are you near any streets or something?" Richelle asked. "Yeah, I'm near some street called Eastheart Avenue." I replied, looking at the pretty houses on the street.
"Eastheart Avenue close to Canadian border.... Okay I've got it!" She mumbled as she typed that into her phone before shouting out the last part.
"Give it to me. I wanna talk to her." I heard Amy say, I could practically hear her pouting and Richelle rolling her eyes.
"Pipes, stay put, we're coming to get you. When you were talking to Rich, I brought as many blankets as I could and I bought your favourite latte." Amy exclaimed down the phone, as I beamed when hearing the words 'blankets' and 'latte'.
"Thanks guys, I'm just standing at like, near the junction." I said gratefully. "Okay, according to google maps, it will take about 20 minutes to get to you. We aren't that far from you." Richelle said, as I smiled. At least it won't take like an hour or something.
"Okay, see you later guys." I said, happy that they were coming to get me.
I cut the call and stood awkwardly on the side of the street, shivering. The events of everything that happened with Josh and Elliot were replaying on my mind as I wondered, 'why me?' Did I do something wrong? Maybe I did and that's why all this has been happening to me.
'Yes' I declared in my mind. I must've done something wrong and that's why all these things have been happening.
After what felt like years, I heard the engine of a car disrupting the silence of the quiet street, also followed by loud voices.
"Have you seen her?" I heard a familiar voice, also known as Amy, ask.
"Obviously not!" I heard a second voice, Richelle, exclaim.
"Well, sorry! I'm just worried!"
"You think I'm not?"
"Just look out for her!"
"That's what I've been doing!"
"Shut up and look, Rich!"
"I will physically kick you out of this car, Amy, if you keep telling me to shut up! Are you forgetting who's driving this car?!"
"Fine, fine! Sorry, there!"
"Apology not accepted. Here, use my phone and call her."
"Bossy."
"Excuse me?!"
"I said that you're BOSSY!"
"When we find Piper, I will get you back for that!"

"Bring it on shortie." There was a pause before I heard Amy shout out in pain, as I started to laugh. "Ow! That hurt! Richelle! Stop abusing me, you're gonna crash the car at this rate!"
"Then call Piper, so that we can find out where she is! This is a huge street."
I looked around laughing at their loud conversation and felt my phone vibrate in my hand. "Hey Amy!" I said happily.
"How'd you know it was me? This is Richelle's phone." Amy asked, as I just laughed. "Why are you laughing? Are you high? Do you think she's high? Probably laughing gas, don't you think, Richelle?" Amy asked, as laughed harder.
"I don't know! She does sound happy though. Too happy. And how would she get laughing gas?" I heard Richelle ask Amy, which just made me laugh louder.
"Guys I heard your entire conversation. You guys are so loud! Anyways focus! I'm near a house with the number 256 on it." I replied, my laughter cooling down a bit but my smile never leaving my face.
"Okay, we're near 237, so hold on." Amy said. "Can you see any other roads, Ames?" I heard Richelle ask. "Yeah, at the end of this road, make a left." Amy replied.
"Piper, we can see you, look up!" Richelle exclaimed happily, as I looked up and saw her red car speeding towards me.
When she stopped the car, Amy rushed out of the car, stopping a few metres in front of me. "Piper! You're okay!" She said, her eyes glistening, as tears of relief made it's way onto my face. "Amy, Richelle!" I squealed, running towards her and hugging her, excitedly. "Piper!" Richelle shouted, also getting out of the car. She barrelled into me, giving me a nice warm hug.
"Geez, you are freezing!" Amy exclaimed, releasing me from the hug. "Oh my gosh, you're lips. They're almost blue. Quick, get in the car, the heater is on." Richelle said, as Amy nodded, agreeing with her.
Amy gently shoved me into the backseat of the car and sat down next to me, as Richelle got back into the driver's seat. I sighed happily, settling into the warm car.
"Here." Amy said, handing me fluffy blanket after fluffy blanket, as I wrapped myself with them one by one. "Here's your latte." Richelle said, handing me the warm drink, whilst starting up the car.
"We were so worried, Pipes." Amy said sadly, as Richelle agreed. "So was I, I really thought that I'd never see any one of you again. He was planning on taking me to some other country!" I said, remembering what he said to me, as stubborn tears made their way down my face.
"Aww, Pipes don't cry. James called me a while ago and said that the police caught Josh. He was heading back to look for you, basically walking into a trap. He's with Elliot, James and Finn, waiting for you to get back." Amy said, hugging me.
"Yeah, then we can pound them!" Richelle said, momentarily taking her hands off of the wheel to pound her fist into her palm for emphasis.
"Two hands on the wheel, Rich!" Amy exclaimed, jokingly as I tiredly smiled, my head on Amy's lap.
"You can sleep while Rich and I go over our plot to pound Elliot and Josh." Amy suggested, smiling mischievously, as Richelle nodded her head eagerly. "Alright." I mumbled, smiling, drifting off to sleep immediately.
"Pipes. Pipes. Piper, wake up!" I heard Amy say, after about 10 minutes or so, but I was too comfortable. I was warm, comfy and tired, there was no way that I was getting up now.
"No. Go away." I whined, going back to sleep. "Okay, then." I heard her say, as I smiled to myself, happy that I got my way. Suddenly, I was engulfed in cold air, as all 6 of my fluffy blankets were ripped off of me.
I let out a piercing scream, as I sat up in shock. Amy held my blankets, laughing at me as Richelle stopped recording me, also laughing. "Seriously guys?!" I said, whining. "We got you McDonalds, you've got to eat." Richelle said, handing a hot bag to me. "Okay, okay" I said, smiling, as we dug into our greasy, salty food, just talking and laughing.
Afterwards, we set off again and soon enough we were back at the place where nationals is held. We walked in and Richelle and Amy led me to a rehearsal room. As we walked there I heard voices talking.
"Just wait until Piper gets here. I'm gonna rough you up so bad, that you'll forget what you looked like before!" I heard a voice yell, I could tell who it was easily. James. As we were approaching, I could hear him and Finn talking about how they were going to beat up Josh and Elliot. Richelle opened the door excitedly and Amy practically bounced into the room.
"We're here!" Amy announced in a sing song voice. "Where is she?" I heard Finn ask, concerned. "I'm here." I said, smiling as I walked into the room. "Pipes!" He yelled, giving me a giant hug as I breathed in his scent.
He was gently shoved to the side by James who engulfed me into another warm, giant hug. "I'm so proud of you, Pipes. Okay, is there anything you wanna say to these idiots?" James asked, glaring at Josh and Elliot who had the audacity to look pretty angry.
I nodded as I marched to stand in front them. I looked at Elliot, his hands were in handcuffs behind his back and he looked at me smugly, to which I replied with a smug smile of my own. Before I slammed my knee into his crotch, as he stood there and winced. "That was for harassing Amy and Richelle." I did it again but harder as he groaned and fell onto his knees. "And that was for insulting my dance captaincy a few years ago." I said, before turning to Josh, who looked from Elliot to me and gulped which made me scoff.
"You sick-" I started, unleashing all of my anger onto him, as James, Finn, Amy and Richelle cheered me on. Normally, I don't like cussing but I couldn't help it when it came to Josh. When I finished my rant, I connected my fist to his nose, hearing a satisfying crack and I watched him double over as I collided my knee into his abdomen, making him groan.
"Oh and before I forget, this is for you slapping me twice." I said before punching him in the jaw. "Wait, what?!" James, Finn, Amy and Richelle yelled at me in surprise. "He hit you?!" Finn yelled, as I nodded and showed them my sore, red, irritated cheek. "Oh you're dead." James said ominously, before Amy yelled, "Wait!!".
We all looked at her and watched her knee Elliot in the mouth. "Okay, let's go and find everyone else." She said smiling. "Hold on, that's not fair, now it my turn." Richelle exclaimed. She walked up to them, grabbed them by their hair and slammed their faces into each other. "Okay, okay, now it's our turn." James exclaimed as Finn laughed. "Can we watch?" Amy asked hopefully. "You could but the others are probably still worried sick about Pipes, so you should probably go find them." James said, laughing and ruffling her hair, as she grumbled and I laughed. "Now you see what I have to go through!" I said, nudging her with my elbow and laughing.
Richelle dragged me and Amy out of the room and towards a hall. "A troupe and your family are in here." She said as she opened the door. As soon as she did, she was bombarded with questions.
"Is she okay?"
"Where is she?"
"Did she pound Elliot and Josh like you said she would?"
"I hope she's alright!"
"Is she alright?"
"She's fine guys!" Richelle yelled above the voices. "Yeah, I'm fine!" I said smiling as I walked in with Amy. I was pulled into a warm group hug with my family and I was asked a million questions about how I was feeling and if I was okay, to which I responded that I was perfectly fine.
When they released me from their hug, all of A troupe and Nick pulled me into a big group hug and I had to answer questions from them. I felt relieved after I explained what happened to everyone. I was so happy to be reunited with everybody.
Finn came in after a while and hugged me again as my family left to go back to their seats. Just then, Finn was shoved gently to the side and I briefly heard him say in a joking manner, "Why am I always getting shoved?" Then before I knew it, I was in a hug. I knew who it was by the beautiful body spray and the baby bump. "Riles!" I said into her hair as she hugged me tighter. "I'm so glad you're okay, I was so worried about you!" She said, smoothing out my hair.
After assuring her that I was fine, she went back to her seat and I went back to A troupe who were talking and laughing. "Hey guys, I'm going to go look for James. I'll be back in a minute." I said, as they waved at me and told me to hurry back. I laughed and went into the corridor.
"James? Where are you?" I called out, passing empty rooms. What if something bad happened? Where is this guy? What if- My thoughts were interrupted by a voice calling out to me.
"Pipesqueak! There you are!" He said, opening his arms, as I ran into them with joy. "James! Where were you?" I said clinging onto him. "With our parents, they gave me a whole list of questions to ask you." He said laughing whilst stroking my hair. "I was so worried, you know. I really thought that I'd never see you or anyone again." I said in a small voice. "I was worried too. But you're my sister, I knew you could find a way out." He replied, still hugging me tightly.
"Thanks, Jay-Jay." I said, using the nickname I gave to him when I was a kid. "Wow, its Jay-Jay now. Don't even worry about it, PP." He retaliated as I cringed at the name he gave me when I was 7.
"No, definitely not." I said in horror, as we both just laughed. "Let's go back to the others." James said as i let go of him. I groaned, dragging my feet. After today, I just want to sleep forever and ever, I'm so tired and exhausted.
"Come on. Get on my back." James said, chuckling as he turned around. Laughing in victory I jumped onto his back, threw my arms around his neck and rested my head onto his shoulder. We- well, technically he, walked slowly back to the others, as we talked and laughed all the way there.
"Wassup guys?" James said when we got back to the hall where A troupe were. "Hey guys." I also said, waving tiredly. A chorus of "Hey guys!" "Hey you two!" and "aww!"'s were heard as James stood there with me on his back. "Do you want to get down now, Pipes?" James asked me, as I shook my head at him. "Someone's feeling a little lazy now." He replied to A troupe as I whacked his head, causing them to laugh.
"Alright, Henry, you're performing at 11, tomorrow morning. Are you ready?" Nick asked, as Henry confidently nodded. "Yup, I'm ready to go." He replied, as everyone patted him on the back. "Alright if Henry wins his round, small group will be next, so get a good rest guys! You can go to your hotel rooms now, we've got a busy day tomorrow!" Nick said, excitedly rubbing his hands together.
"Okay Pipes, you can get off me now." James said, trying to throw me off of him but I clinged on, just to annoy him. In all my and A troupe's laughter, my grip on him loosened and he shook himself, making me land in a heap on the floor. "Ow, James!" I complained, rubbing my back as I got up, A troupe just laughing, but Finn being sweet like that, helped me up.
"Okay, Piper, Amy, we're together in a room, it's similar to the rooms in Dancemania, except Richelle is with Kenzie and Summer." Lily explained excitedly to me and Amy as we nodded happily.
Tomorrow, the competition begins for us, and I can only hope that Henry can win the first round for us.

She'll go all-in, guns blazing. But when the smoke clears there may be nothing left but a stranger's past and a lonely future. --- 'Kind's Kiss' is a light, modern-day fantasy, easy on the magic, heavy on the snark. Though complete it is still a work in progress. One reviewer described it as 'Buffy meets Sabrina, as done by Tarantino'. I'm still not sure if I should consider that a compliment or hire a hitman :-)
