Piper's pov:

I have to admit, I am a little intrigued, I'd love to stand up to Tiana and everyone who ever bullied me from that studio.

"What's the name of your old studio, Piper?" I sighed playfully, as this was the 3rd time that he was asking this question! "Oh my gosh, I told you already, it's called born2dance academy." He mocked me by rolling his eyes in an exaggerated manner. "Come on Pipesqueak, get in the car, and let's bounce!" James said as he ruffled my hair. "Jamesss... stop! And stop calling me pipesqueak, I'm not a baby anymore!" I whined at him. "You'll always be my baby sister and I love you for that" he replied as he kissed my forehead and I hugged him tightly. After some more jokes, we finally got in the car and headed towards my old studio.

I was a bit nervous to see the building of my old studio, but I had to be strong, I wasn't gonna let Tiana get the better of me again. "Alright, you stay in the car, and I'll go and confront her, you see, easy peasy, everybody wins, except Tiana, really." James stated as I tried and failed to stifle my laughter. He gave me a hug and headed straight for the studio, I opened the window of the car, so that I could try and strain my ears so that I could hear at least a little something.

James's pov:

I entered the studio and looked around. It looked a lot better than I had remembered from the times I had to go and pick Piper up along with my mum. A petite kind looking woman, who I figured out was the secretary approached and asked if I was looking for anyone in particular and I told her, that I was looking for the dance captain, Tiana. She took me to a large studio room, and I recognised Tiana immediately. "Tiana, you have a guest!" The secretary lady said in a bright voice as all the people in the studio turned to face me.

"Hi, I'm Tiana, is there anything I can help you-" She started in a sickly sweet voice until she realised who she was talking too. "Oh it's you James." She said with disdain. She quickly turned to the other dancers and told them to warm up as she put some music on for them. They quickly resumed what they were doing as Tiana reluctantly turned back to James. "Yes, what do you want? As you can CLEARLY see I'm quite busy." She said with irritation. Annoyed, I replied, "Alright I'm gonna cut to the chase, why are you bullying my sister, who the hell do you think you are?!" I kept rambling on, just doing anything I could to defend Piper. Tiana looked taken aback by my outburst, especially since I was much taller, older and stronger than she was. "I see, once again, Piper couldn't stand up for herself and solve her own problems! Let me guess, tomorrow, mommy's gonna come give me a stern talking to!" She mocked, in a baby ish voice. My blood was honestly boiling, who did this girl think that she was?

Tiana's pov:

After I finished mocking him, he turned around and I could honestly see that he was getting REALLY angry, and it was kinda intimidating as he's a lot bigger and stronger than I am. I roll my eyes, and in my peripheral vision, who do i see? Piper! Honestly, this was great, she was sitting in the passenger seat of a car that was close to a back corner, it was sorta out of sight but from where I was standing, I could see her pretty easily. I had to teach this girl a lesson, ratting me out to her brother was gonna have its consequences.

I quickly and discreetly turned to my friend Amanda, and did a love heart sign with my hands and pointed to James. Luckily for me, she got the hint and started tugging on James' arm. She was going on and on about how much she loved and missed him and how she never wanted to let him go again. It was honestly hilarious. I signalled to Rose and some other girls to come up to me, while James was confused and momentarily distracted by Amanda. I whispered in Rose's ear, " Piper, black car, back of the street, go get her, now.." I hissed.

The girls discreetly left the studio to go and find the girl. I looked at James trying to match the confusion on his face, but it was honestly fabulous, I was having a great time and it was about to get better as Piper was going to get her just dessert. She was gonna learn that she was the second and last person to ever deceive and break my heart again.

Piper's pov:

I was just texting Finn on my phone when I realised that James was taking forever. I glanced out of the window when I saw Rose and some other girls heading my way. I frantically locked the doors and hid in the backseat.

They came up to the window of the car and saw that i was laying on the backseat. They tried the door handle and I laughed at how stupid they thought I was, leaving the door handle unlocked, priceless! Anyways I kinda sorta maybe got a little bit cocky and I started making faces at them, they were getting furious but there was no way that they could get into this car. The last straw though was when I pointed at them and laughed, then I put my middle finger up at them. They ran around looking crazy until I saw them holding sticks - they were break into this car one way or another.

Well, lesson learnt, pride always comes before the fall, noted, thanks!

I called James as quickly as I could and i saw him look at my direction. Honestly, i have NEVER ever seen this type of fury in his eyes before, not even when I told him, that i was dating Finn! He walked quickly to where the girls were and just before one of them was going smash the window with all her might, James cut in.

James' pov:

"DROP...THE...STICKS...NOW" I say angrily. I'm not shouting or yelling, I'm talking in a calm, but extremely angry manner. This is a different type of anger though, MY little sister needed me and these pricks weren't gonna get in my way...

The girls dropped the sticks and had fear laced in their eyes, I took several steps towards them and they backed right up to the car. In the corner of my eye, I caught Piper, laughing to herself and i let myself smile too. "Run.." I said angrily at the girls and they sprinted, and when i say sprinted, i mean SPRINTED away. Tiana walked up to us, as Piper got out of the car. I looked at her confused, until I saw the determination in her eyes, I realised that she wanted to stand up for herself against Tiana. And I was so proud of her.

Piper's pov:

I got out of the car, as I needed to stand up for myself against this tyrant. She looked at me with disgust and anger as she started walking quickly towards me. I wasn't gonna back down, so I waited for what she was going to do, when James swiftly stepped in between us and crossed his arms. Tiana backed up a bit and yelled, "This ISN'T over!". "You are the second and last person to make a fool of me and leave broken hearted in the dust!" She cried out.

I could see tears glistening in eyes but knowing her she was probably mentally telling herself to never let those unshed tears fall. I was so confused, what the hell did she mean by second?! Had someone else, close to her left her too? I felt guilt wash over me as I gently pushed James out of the way, so that I could properly see Tiana. "What do you mean by that?" I asked quietly but boldly. I could see her mentally contemplating whether she should or shouldn't tell me whatever had happened to her.

Tiana's pov:

I didn't even know what I was doing at this point but I actually wanted to get this off my chest and anyways, maybe it'll guilt Piper into thinking about what she had done all those years ago.

"Well, there was this girl who was apart of born2dance academy before you, Piper, actually she came a couple years before you joined. You may not know her but I think she still goes to your studio (I roll my eyes heavily), her name was Richelle." I say, as I hear Piper gasp, and see James looking shocked.

"Anyways, she and I were very close, like we were so close that I could and would easily subconsciously call her my best friend, like how you and me were, Piper. " I pause for effect, seeing Piper looking down at her feet in guilt, I also felt a bit of pity towards her, I still did care about her, no matter how much she hurt me and vice versa. "So, things were going great after our studio overcame a financial problem and we could finally enter regionals again. Everyone was bringing their best and Richelle especially was definitely bringing it." I smiled to myself as I remembered my memories. "After a month or so, she started acting weird, she wanted harder coreo but no one else could keep up with her, except me of course, so I decided to ignore her request and just have her do the same as everyone else. She then started missing rehearsals, which she NEVER does, or she'd turn up really late. I let her off because she was my best friend and I loved her as a sister. But her strange behaviour kept carrying on. It was the day of regionals and everyone was there with their suitcases and we were all lounging around waiting for Richelle."

I paused, taking a deep breath, feeling the sting of tears at the corner of my eyes. "We waited for 3 and a half hours! 3 and a half hours! She never showed up, when I called her, she told that she was really sorry but she had been attending a different studio behind our backs, and that's not even the worst part! She said she was going to regionals with THEM, and that she was sorry but she didn't know how to tell me! We didnt have enough dancers and no one could learn the choreo in the space of a day, so we had to pull out of regionals, we didn't even get a refund.

I've hated Richelle ever since, no matter how many times she called, texted or showed up to my house to apologise to me." James and Piper's faces were hanging wide open as they never thought Richelle would ever do such a thing. "When you were back chatting about me not being the best dance captain for the team, I tried to see past it but I saw Richelle in your actions and I felt anger and betrayal. That's why I always kept you behind, it was almost like a small punishment because i knew you were quite tired, but in a way, I was helping you to become a better dancer. I really didn't want you to leave like Richelle did, but when you were really, truly thinking about it, I got angry, I was angrier at Richelle but I never did get the chance to get revenge so.... I took it out on you." I glanced at Piper, and she was nodding her head in an understanding way, as I looked up towards the sky and braced myself for what I was going to say next.

"And...and... I'm sorry..." i say as i look down at my feet. What? I'm still human, and besides, I've always liked Piper more than Richelle, she was so easy to love, if I ever got to cocky or angry she'd calm me down, and if she ever got too anxious, I'd boost her confidence up. I felt a warm pair of arms embrace me and I realised that Piper was hugging me, so I hugged her back. "I'm sorry too, I never should've talked bad about you behind your back, and I never should've left without telling you first, either." She said, regretfully. "Forgive me?" I asked her, pouting slightly. "Of course I will, only if you forgive me too!" She said happily. I thought back to all my pent up anger and realised exactly who should be on the wrong end of my wrath. "Of course I do!" I say excitedly as we hug tightly, I pause and ask,"friends?", "best friends!" She assured me. It's actually shocking how much I missed her.

Piper's pov:

I really didn't want to let go of Tiana, now this was the girl I cherished as one of my best friends, and I really missed her. I'm glad that she told me the story of what happened but knowing Tiana for so long, she never really did handle anger or betrayal well, so I guess I can see where she was coming from, but I was just glad to have my best friend back!

She pulled away from our hug and paused for a bit until she said, "Now, i have to get Richelle back!" I looked at her in shock. "Tiana, come on, don't, it's not worth it, I'm sure Richelle never meant to-" I started but she cut me off. "Ah, ah, ah, we just became friends again, Piper! Come on! I have to come to terms with what she did to me all those years ago, and give her a piece of my mind! But I'm glad we're friends again. Also I'm sorry to you too James." I looked over at James and he nodded his approval at Tiana and she hugged me again and kissed my cheek as she explained that she really had to go. I shouted bye at her and waved as she waved back to me.

James hugged me as we got in the car, "You see, a simple talk was all it took!" He said cheerily. "Except when they almost broke your car and you got to a scary level of anger!" I laughed as he chuckled too. "But, I have to go and warn Richelle. I know Tiana and I know Richelle. She can be an animal when it comes to competitiveness but Tiana can be a beast!" I exclaimed to James. He agreed as we drove off, heading towards the studio.
