《Dr Luthor - Supergirl AU》A Few Words

Third Person
"I'm sure all of you here today are friends or loved ones of the deceased." The priest looked around at Kara and everyone else who was crying. "Lillian Luthor had a rather complicated relationship with her children but I'm sure she is here to speak today." Everyone looked around for the eldest and most famous Luthor.
"I'll speak on her behalf," Lena Luthor stood from the crowd with reluctance and slowly made her way up to the lectern. "Lex Luthor. He was complicated and irrational, evil maybe, but he was my brother. I remember walking into the Luthor mansion and seeing him for the first time. He asked me if I wanted to play chess, so I did. We bonded so much and even though he killed that many people and well, you all know... it was still very devastating when he died. Mother, I wish you could be here to say something but I know that if you did attend this funeral, you would say something along the lines of 'Lex Luthor, the good child'. I love you, Lex. Please say hi to Dad for me." Lena swallowed hard and walked straight back to her seat next to Kara, who gave her a full box of tissues and a hug.
"I know that was hard for you, baby."
Present Day
Kara woke up in her own bed. She couldn't shake the image from her mind of watching Lena die right in front of her. She just sat in silence, waiting for anyone to come in to explain what happened after she fell unconscious.
"Kara?" She heard Lena's soft voice and she sat up quickly, seeing the raven-haired beauty standing in the doorway.
"Lee... how are you..."
"It's called CPR. Alex came out of the... moment... about a minute after she killed me. As soon as she woke up, she started compressions. It didn't take long for my heart to start beating again but you didn't wake up for a long time. It's been three days since then. Alex is being cured and everything will be back to normal soon."

"That was a long-winded explanation." The blonde stood and ran to her girlfriend. "Is now a bad time?"
"Bad time for what?" Lena gave Kara a quizzical look.
"This." She knelt down on one knee and pulled a ring out of her pocket. "I have wanted to do this for a while and I feel like now is a perfect time. We both survived a raging Alex Danvers, that is something, right?" Both of the girls laughed and looked into each other's eyes. "Lena Luthor, will you marry me?"
"No."

The Humble Life of a Skill Trainer
For Joshua Still, Skills were the lifeblood of his business. He wanted to understand them, collect many of them, and teach a few of them. Which was a problem because while his profession of a Skill Trainer was perfectly legal, it was frowned upon by most of the kingdom. After all, it wouldn't do for a non-tailor to teach Tailoring. Or, so says the Tailors Guild. The same could be said by the Blacksmiths, the Bakers, the Butchers, the Candlestick Makers, the Mages, and every other Guild with enough money and clout to complain. But still, Skill Trainers provide a valuable service, and so he has managed to start his business and keep it under the table. To a degree. With many a bribe. But his quiet anonymous life of research, practice, and training was about to change. When the Baron demands you pay him a visit, you have little choice.

Author's disclosure: My purpose in this novel is to explore trading and adventure in a magic world. I'll try to put some humor and good fights in the novel to make it more fun. This is a spin-off novel of AK – The Alchemy Kingdom. You don't have to read the other novel to understand or follow this one. It might offer some additional information and entertainment, tough. You can also check my other spin-off novel, Harbinger of Death, which will be more action-focused and a little grimdark. Even if you are not a fan of the genre, give it a chance. I'm adding some soft romance in the hopes to make it unique and interesting. I'm trying to improve my writing skills, so your comments and reviews are welcome. New chapters three times a week. I am Aria Dwestella Monfonte De’Pelier. For both our sakes, let’s keep it to my maiden name, Aria Johann. I created this book so if you ever get reincarnated, you won't make my mistakes. I have lived many lives, but this book focuses on my life in a fantasy world. Some of my tips include how not to deal with dragons, why you shouldn't reveal you have magical talent, and why royals are stupid. I have fun with my friends, become hated by the gods, and become (to-be) empress of the entire world. Oh yeah, and everyone gets tortured. That's what, tip number 47? Keep your loved ones close and your sanity closer.
