《Dr Luthor - Supergirl AU》Doctor?

Lena POV
"So... for the past few days, you weren't avoiding me?" She asked. I looked at her pristine car. There wasn't a speck of dust on it at all. It wasn't new, she had bought it years ago but somehow, it was always clean.
"The day after Clarke caught us, I had to meet my mother for lunch but she drugged me and I woke up this morning on that boat."
"They were going to take you to a remote island. You are lucky I got there to fish you out of the water, the boat's engines were about to start and you were scary close to one."
"I didn't really have much of a choice." I laughed and Kara just kept looking at the road. She slowed down to pull into a driveway but didn't notice the truck heading straight for us. I yelled her name as she swerved to get out of the way of the truck but failing.
"Kara!" I yelled again as everything went black.
I woke up on the cold concrete. My heart was pounding in my chest and I could barely see through the blood and tears that covered my eyes. I looked around frantically for Kara. I couldn't see her anywhere. I saw a man run to me, he rolled me onto my back and started asking if I was okay. I told him I was and he asked about the driver.
"Is she okay? I saw you both in the car."
"I don't know. I don't know!" I just kept repeating it until I saw him straighten up. "What?" He stood and ran to a female form laying on the ground. It was now that I noticed the wreckage that was her car. I tried to stand but failed, then I tried to crawl to Kara, which worked.

"Lena?" Her painful whisper made my heart sink. I knew something was wrong but I couldn't tell what to do.
"Hey." I used my cleaner hand to stroke her hair while the truck driver called 911.
"I don't want to die!" She sobbed. I frantically searched for the right words to say to her.
"You won't die. You'll be okay. You're the surgeon, you know what's going to happen. Alex will take you to an operation theatre and make sure everything will be okay, right?" She nodded, then coughed. She was still crying and clutching her stomach. I was worried that something was wrong, like internal bleeding or something.
"Lena, I should have said it before but..."
"You can tell me later. Tell me when you recover."
"No, I have to tell you now! Lena, I love you. I need you to know that." Tears immediately streamed down my face as I was now realising just how much I loved her back.
"I love you too." I grabbed her hand, half to monitor her pulse and half to comfort her. Then, out of nowhere, I heard sirens and ambulances pull up on the scene. "Here!" I yelled, trying to wave my arms but I soon recognised how much it hurt so I just sat back down to be with Kara. She started closing her eyes but I made sure she kept them open while the ambulance pulled up.
They put her on a stretcher and took her to the hospital. I jumped in the back of the other ambulance while they stitched all of my wounds but as soon as we arrived at the hospital, I ran out and went into the surgery room that they had her in. When Alex looked up and saw me, her eyes widened.

"Lena! Come help." I froze and couldn't move.
"I... can't." I watched Alex and a few other doctors put a tube down Kara's throat which brought her vitals up a bit. I came a little closer and bent down next to her head. "Just stay with us, Kara. Please. Don't leave me." I whispered.
"Doctor Luthor!" Doctor? How can I be a doctor when I freeze up like this. Yes, I had the degree but I didn't have the guts.
"Hmm?" I glanced up at Alex, who was stitching up the less deep cuts around where the others were operating.
"I need your help." She shooed a few of the surgeons away while I stood and looked at my girlfriend. "You are the only person I can rely on to do this properly. No-one else knows her well enough and cares for her enough to help me."
"Isn't it better for the others to do the surgery? Shouldn't they do it considering we are emotionally biased?" Alex glared at me.
"I need your help if she flatlines. I made an incision so that you can grab her heart and softly do CPR with it in your hand if her heart does stop."
"You want me to literally hold her heart in my hand?"
"Lena, I need you to be a surgeon and help me save my sister."

Portals to other worlds. Siblings with a secret. A world in need of magic. Zach is haunted, scarred by his time spent in a place that might as well have been hell. Zara, his sister, even more so. After years of torturous experiments, they were finally rescued. But the years since then haven’t been easy. Both siblings just want a break, something to take their minds from the past. The portals that appeared all over the world a hundred years ago are the key. The reason behind years of captivity now holds the answer to their problems. For the second time in his life, Zack awakens as a ‘Traveler’. Someone possessing the ability to pass through these portals and venture into the mystic realms. What begins as a fresh start soon attracts the attention of nobles and those with less savory intentions. When you have known nothing but distrust for those in power, what would you do to remain in control of your life? I will be uploading new chapters on Tuesday and Saturday each week at 4pm Mountain Standard Time. (The story has been described as X-men meets Narnia. Which while not entirely accurate, is still a fun way of looking at it.) (Note: As with my other stories, this one focuses more on the characters than on constant action. The Lite-LitRPG and Gamelit elements are introduced into the story gradually.) Author's Note: This is my raw, mostly unedited text. I am using RR to test out this story as I'm writing it to get a feel for how the published and edited copy will be received. Certain sections of the story will be changed or added to when I publish it as well. Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
