Katie slowly closed the door of the apartment, she didn't want to wake Kara up as she headed for work, as she walked her eyes caught sight of Alex, "Hey."

"Hey." Alex smiled, "Want a donut before I offer these to Kara?"

"Eh, not really." Katie shrugged, "I was just going to grab a hash brown from McDonald's on the way to work. Speaking of work, are those to persuade Kara on coming back to the DEO?"

"Hopefully."

Katie looked down at her watch, "I better go, or I'll be late."

"Is Kara awake?"

"No!" Katie called back, running over to the elevator, "But her alarm should be going off soon!" Katie grinned happily as she walked through the streets of National City. She walked with almost a bounce in her step. Why? She was able to take off the horrendous bracelet. Hank thought she was able to control it now, and apparently, she could. She turned around when she heard someone call out to her before she entered the office, hash brown in hand.

"Katie!" Winn ran over to her, "Hey, Leah says Superman says hi."

"You sound like a swooning teenage girl." Katie laughed, pushing the doors to CatCo open, "How is her trip though?"

"She says she's having a nice time being with Clark, she says it's nice being able to talk to Krypton to someone who used to live there. Has those memory flashes stopped?"

"For the most part, yeah." Katie nods, pushing the button of the elevator until she saw Kara running in, she held the door for her.

"You left me."

"You were still sleeping." Katie counters, taking another bite until Winn took the rest from her.

"I'm not ready for Siobhan today." Kara sighs out.

"Hey, we've got your backs." Winn nudges her side, "We're always here for you."

"I thought you were about to add a 'dude' at the end of that sentence and I was going to have to hit you." Katie joked, walking over to her desk, sitting down while Winn and Kara stood, "Are you going to wait for her to show up?"

Kara fixed her clothes, straightening them out, "No."

"Then why aren't you by your desk?"

"She's coming."

Katie rolled her eyes, she turned her gaze over to Siobhan, who held a small package in her hands. "Good morning, Siobhan." She spoke up, not really hating or liking Siobhan.

"Katie." Her gaze moved over, "Ker-rah."

"It's Kara."

Winn moved in nervously, "How's it going, Siobhan?"

"I'm sorry. I have difficulty making conversation with men under six feet tall. Let alone, men."

Kara jumped forward, pointing down to the small package, "Is that for Ms. Grant?"

Siobhan moved her hands away, "For her eyes only."

"Ms. Grant, uh, likes for everything to be open before it reaches her desk." Kara states, she wasn't lying, she was telling the truth.

Siobhan sent Kara a glare, mixed with an annoyed expression, "I spent the last 90 minutes in the mail room letting a glorified postal worker stare at my chest, so I could be the one to give this to Cat. And I'll take the credit."

"Take the credit." Katie says, twirling in her chair, "But open the package before you give it to her."

Ms. Grant's elevator pinged, revealing the blonde woman, "Tweedledee. Staff meeting. Everyone in my office. Stat with a side of ASAP!"

"I guess that makes you Tweedledum."

Kara's jaw clenched tightly, her eyes drifting over to the twins, "I could throw her into space. I dream about doing that."

"I know." Katie says, turning back to her work, "You talk in your sleep."

"Wait, I do? I-No, I do not." Kara quickly stammered, "I-I don't."

Winn covered his mouth as he laughed, "You know you are bad at lying, right?"

"I am-am-I do not lie."

🔥~🔥~🔥~🔥~🔥

Katie walked beside her brother, her head moved up to the TVs, "Greetings, Catco employees. I'm disappointed in all of you. Especially you, Queen of all Media."

Cat put her hand on her hip, "I suppose you're the hacker that sent the drive this morning. Hmm. What do they call you? The Peroxide Avenger."

"I handed you the story of the year. How sinners have turned the Internet into a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah. But you failed to act. And so now, all will suffer. Computers control everything. Communication, banking... Even traffic signals. The age of chaos begins now. Enjoy."

"Mini Toymans." Cat turned to the Schott twins, "You two are the computer experts, fix this."

Winn sucked in his lips, looking at Kara and James, "I definitely liked it better when she did not know who I was."

"Well, you are dating her daughter." Katie sat on her seat, quickly hacking into the computer, as if it was the simplest thing to do, her eyes flickered around the screen, "Every traffic light in the city just turned green." She pulled the footage up on screens.

Lucy's mouth fell open, "Oh my God."

Katie turned her head slightly to see Kara running out of the room, her eyes moved to Winn as they continued to type at their computers. "Liberty Avenue. There's about to be a major crash."

Katie looked at James, "Tell her."

James gave Katie a curt nod and ran out of the room, contacting Supergirl. Katie puffed her cheeks out as Winn and her fixed the TVs.

🔥~🔥

Katie looked up at the TV from her desk, "In related news, the initial attack on DiamondDiscretions.com seems now to be the opening salvo in a full-fledged cyber war, which has sabotaged infrastructure and left financial markets plummeting. Dozens of banks and lending institutions, including National City Mutual, released a statement calling this the worst digital data breach they have ever seen."

"National City Mutual. That's where my retirement fund is."

Katie sighs heavily, looking over at her brother, "If this hacker isn't stopped soon, we're looking at a worldwide economic collapse."

Cat came speed walking, "Relevant people! In my office. Kathy, you too!"

Katie looked at Winn in almost terror, "Me?"

"Have fun with that."

Katie followed behind Kara, standing between her and Siobhan. She clasped her hands together, almost awkwardly standing there.

Cat set her stuff down on her desk, "National City's entire mainframe has been breached by a cyber-terrorist attack and nobody knows why they're doing it, or who, or when they will strike again."

Lucy held her notebook to her chest, "I've spoken to my contacts at the Pentagon. Military intelligence is all over this."

"This is about National City. Our home is under attack. And we have no idea how this is going to end." Cat's head whipped to the side, "James Olsen."

"Yes, ma'am."

"First, never call me "ma'am." This is not the Old West. And second, circle the wagons. We are going to put every investigative team we have on this. Freelancers too. We identify the hacker. We end this. And you," Cat's attention fell on Siobhan, "Get my investment broker on the phone."

Siobhan stumbled over her words, "I...-"

"I'll get him right away, Ms. Grant," Kara says as fast as she can, basically saving Siobhan.

"And you-" Cat's finger fell on Katie, "-Work you technical magic."

Katie nodded her head, "Okay."

🔥~🔥~🔥~🔥~🔥

Katie and Winn sat next to each other, mumbling to themselves as they worked silently on their computers. She typed rapidly but heard James and Kara speaking to each other.

"You know, they've been mumbling like that to themselves for over an hour. Isn't that the first sign of..."

"Genius?" Kara muses, "Yes."

"We're not mumbling." Winn muttered, "Okay. We're writing code, it just helps if we sat it out loud."

"All right." Kara stood up from the sofa in her apartment, "What is happening?"

Katie looked up from the screen as Winn continued typing, "All right. Okay, look, this hacker... She has created what's called an oscillating variable matrix to cover her footprints. 'Diabolical' would not be an inappropriate word choice for her."

"But?"

"But... we have created an inversion pathway, which will, um... Hopefully, lead us to wherever she's hiding. I mean, she could be, for all we know uh, organizing these attacks from the other side of the globe." Katie explains but jumps when Winn jumps on his seat.

"No. Just the other side of your screen. You know, you're fairly clever, for an ape."

Winn pointed at the screen, "And you are creeping me out for an Evil Blonde computer face..."

"Then let's talk in person."

Kara glared down at the screen, "Name the time and place."

"How 'bout now?" The screen bugged out, particles releasing from the computer, making Katie and Winn sit up from their chairs and move far away from the computer, "Supergirl. What exactly makes you so super?"

Kara looks at her, "That symbol. I've seen it before."

"It's the sign of my people. The font of omniscient knowledge. I know everything about you."

Winn held onto his tie, "What are you? Some-some kind of living internet?"

"You might call me that." She mused, blade-like fingers came out of her hand, she used her other and punched Kara through the window. Katie reacted fast when she grabbed her brother by the neck. Her fist swung, but the woman round kicked her away, grabbing James by his neck. "Which one of your friends should I skin first?"

Katie got up from her spot, flames igniting in her hands, "You let them go."

Hank and Alex came running in, guns in hand, "Hold it right there! Hold it right there!"

The woman fled back into the computer. Winn grabbed the wall, getting back up after he was thrown, "Oh, thank God we have our own personal black ops unit."

Kara turned to her three friends, "Stay here."

🔥~🔥~🔥~🔥~🔥

Katie walked through CatCo, holding up her coffee as she drank it, she heard loud banging sounds coming from the printing room and saw Siobhan struggling with the printer, "Whoa, what are you doing there?"

Siobhan struggled as she opened the printer, "What does it look like I'm doing?"

Katie sat her coffee down on a near table, "It's like you're re-enacting a scene from Office Space. Or just trying to murder my copier."

Katie knelt beside her as Siobhan continued to complain, "Can one thing in my life actually work? Just one thing. That's all I'm asking."

Katie popped it open easily, pulling out a crumpled piece of paper inside of it, placing it in Siobhan's hands, "See? There's no need for violence." Katie stands back up after shutting the printer, releasing a loud sigh, "A 'Thank you' would be nice."

"Why?" Siobhan asks, rolling her eyes, looking over at Katie, "So I can pretend to be nice like everyone else? You know, they just pretend that you're their friend, or that you can count on them, or that they won't cheat on your mom anymore, but it's just pretend."

Katie scrunched her eyebrows together, giving Siobhan a confused look, until she 'oh'ed, "The... That cheating website... That was your dad?"

"Apparently, he was, like, a platinum member, too. When I was 17, I walked in on my father with his personal assistant assisting him with something no daughter should have to see. The next day, he told me how sorry he was. And how he loved my mom more than anything. And that he would never do it again. He actually cried." Siobhan had a mixture of a scoff and laugh, but it was so silent and sad.

Katie looked at her, "I'm sorry if you wanna-"

"No." Siobhan held up her hand to Katie, pointing at the printer, "I need 14 copies of that. You tell anyone about my father and I'll kill you."

"Good share." Katie looked down at her phone to see that Winn had texted her. She laughed, moving by the printer, clicking the button for it to start. Alex brought him over to the DEO and he was fangirling. She saw that Alex needed her there too, so she quickly got the copies and dropped them on Siobhan's desk.
