《Supergirl》Chapter 10

It was Monday so I had school. I got up and put on my school uniform. The first week of school they let us dress down because people were still getting their uniforms in.
If you're wondering I go to Gotham Academy, one of the nicest and most prestigious schools in Gotham.
Not to brag or anything.
I put my hair in a side braid and put on basic makeup. I walked to school today because I was early and in a happy mood for some reason. To tell you the truth I was excited to see Rick. Although last time I saw him he saw me with my ex.
"Hey." I turn to see Dillon walking behind me.
"Oh hey, you live on this street?" I questioned.
"The last house." he replied pointing to the biggest house on the street. Figures.
Dillon started to walk beside me and we just walked in silence. I was contemplating on breaking it when he did.
"So, are you and Rick like... dating?" He asked looking at me. He had amazing gray eyes that were hard to read. I loved his blond hair that was just above his eyes and his perfect skin.
Stop it Chris.
I shook my head and noticed he was still waiting for an answer.
"No, not at all." I answered shaking my head looking forward.
"Good.... uh no... I mean... uhhhh... only if you don't like him." he stuttered shaking his head scratching the back of his neck looking away.
"Don't worry you have nothing to worry about." I said winking.
"And why would I be worrying?" he said smartly.
"Well, that's for you to decide." I replied pushing my glasses up higher on my nose and walking into the doors of the school only to be pulled away by someone who had their hand over my mouth. I get pulled into a janitors closet and the person lets go of me. I look to see who the person is and it's Liz.

"What was that for?" I hissed at her.
"You were talking to Dillon Ryder." She said in a 'duh' tone. I laughed at this and she just looked at me confused. "Did he say anything?"
"Not really, he just said that he likes me... I think." I replied opening the door.
"I'm jealous and happy at the same time!" Liz said in a confused and excited tone and I chuckled. I walked to my locker pulling down my too short blue plaid skirt. I got to my locker and switched my books out only to be grabbed by person number two.
"Come with me." a familiar male voice said. He went to a different janitors closet and closed the door.
"Janitors closet number two." I commented looking to see Rick giving me a confused look.
"I need to ask you about something that has been on my mind." he said looking down then looking back at me. "Who was that guy you were with at the movies?"
"Oh, he is my ex-boyfriend from Metropolis." I said sighing in relief that I finally said that to him.
"Really? Do you still like him?" He asked worriedly.
"Don't worry, not at all." I said putting my hand on his shoulder and trying to be comforting. That's when I noticed our close proximity. Our eyes locked and we both started to lean in. My hand slipped up to his neck. So many thoughts were going through my head.
Should I really do this? Do I like him? What is he thinking right now?
All the sudden the door was flung open by the janitor and I jumped back flushing red of embarrassment.
-------------------------------------
I walked into the lunch room and sat down at my usual table beside Liz. We ate in silence until I decided to break it.

"Can I ask you something?"
"Shoot." she said nodding her head still looking at her phone.
"Before I came to the school was Rick popular?" I asked looking at her and this time she looked up from her phone in surprise. "Well...?"
"Not exactly. When he was a freshmen and sophomore he was like a nerd. Didn't really have any friends except for a girl named Barbara Gordan. Don't worry they don't like each other." she said chuckling. "Anyways at the end of sophomore year he became popular all the sudden. Dillon and Johnny became his best friends and all the girls like him now."
"Oh." I said surprised at the story. I sat there for awhile deep in thought. Then the bell rang signaling that lunch was over.
"See ya!" Liz yelled waving and I waved in return.
-------------------------------------
I got home and went straight upstairs without saying a word to my parents. I finished my homework and got changed into my supergirl suit.
"I'm gonna go out to patrol." I said to my dad opening my room window.
"Okay be back by midnight." he said from downstairs. I snuck out my window not wanting anyone to know where I came from. I flew around Gotham for about two hours before landing on a roof top and letting my super hearing take over.
"Hey long time no see." I heard a familiar voice say from behind me. I turned around and there was Robin standing there.
"Hey." I greeted simply giving him a small, may I remind you small, smile.
"Mind if I join you? There is like nothing happening tonight."
"Why not." I agreed sitting down and he sat beside me.
"I don't get it. Why don't you just check my identity with your super vision like Superman checked Batman's?" He questioned looking at me.
"Well that's because I'm not Superman. I don't have all his powers. When I use my super vision or at least try, I get a terrible headache and get super sick. We don't know why, but Superman just says never to use it." I replied looking straight.
"Well, that makes more sense." he said chuckling and I couldn't help but like the sound.
"Hey, can we forget what happened last time and just start over?" I asked.
"Sure, no problem. Why don't we get to know each other just a bit. How old are you?"
"I'm eighteen." I answer. "You?"
"Same." he said smirking. What was the smirk for?
"What's your favorite color? Mines red." I asked.
"I don't know, red or green I guess." he said looking down at his outfit making me laugh. I look down below us to see a clockthat says 12:11 a.m. Time flew by.
"I better go." I said getting up.
"Wait, meet me here tomorrow night same time?" he asks with a tint of hope in his voice.
"Sure." I reply winking making him smirk again.
"See ya later Pooper Girl." he said using his grapple hook.
"Same to you Boy Blunder." I yelled flying away with a huge smile on my face. I probably looked so stupid right now.
