《Supergirl》Chapter 2

"Richard Grayson." he said with a wink.
That wink almost made me fall apart, but my mom's confidence came in.
"Well, nice to meet you. I'm sorry, but are you new here?" He asked a bit confused which made him look even hotter. The rest of his friends walked away with a nod which he returned. Please don't leave me guys.
"Yes, I am. We just moved from Metropolis." I reassured him.
"Oh Metropolis the big city. Have you ever seen Superman?" He asked.
"I used to only ever seen him fly by." I lied smoothly trying cover up the fact that I actually hugged him like everyday. All the sudden another friend walks up.
Popular guy.
"Who's this?" He asked leaning against Richard.
"Chris, this is Johnny my friend." Richard stated.
"Nice to meet you." Johnny says stretching out his arm. Reaching for his arm I shake his hand.
"Whoa, you got a strong grip." He says almost surprised which made me want to blurt out my secret. Keep it together Chris.
Then Johnny walks away whispering something to Richard. Richard slaps the back of Johnny's head while they both snicker.
"Well it was nice to meet you Richard, but I got to get to English." I said.
"What I coincidence, I have English too," he replied, "And call me Rick." he stated with a smirk still on his face.
We start to walk to English because the bell had rung. We were in a uncomfortable silence.
"Nice converse." He complimented.
"Thank you, I'm a huge fan of the Flash." I said smiling.
"Yeah, Flash is quite the guy." I look over at him thinking how he knew that. "I mean of what I've heard." he said covering himself up. "One of the only founding Justice League members still going." He added with a solemn look.

"Right." I said smiling.
"Your a senior, right?" He asked.
"Yes, and you?"
"Yup" he replied awkwardly as we continued to walk in silence.
The second bell rings so we start jogging to English. We got there and there were two chairs that were in different rows. I sat in the one in the second row at the end beside a girl. Please be nice. I thought smiling at her.
"Hi, I'm Liz." she greets giving me a cheeky smile.
"I'm Crystal, but call me Chris." I replied. I'm gonna get used to saying that soon.
"That is an amazing name! I want it, Liz is so boring." I look her over and she has darkish red hair and paler skin. She was wearing a superman shirt which made me smile.
"What?" She asks
"Oh, I just like your shirt." I compliment.
"I'm a HUGE fan of Superman. promised myself if he ever saved me that I would kiss him. You don't even know how sad I am he retired! I live in Gotham though so I got Batman. He's cool and all, but Superman is so hot and just amazing at everything!" She exclaims. This made me laugh. To think about my dad that way was just... weird. Gross. Like barf all over the floor and roll in it gross.
Then started the most boring English class I had ever been in, which I mostly spent staring at the back of Rick's head.
------------------------------------
It was finally lunch and I had no idea where to sit. I heard my name to my right and I see Rick and his friends.
I smile at seeing his amazing hair and smile. Wow I need to get a grip. Don't get me wrong he still had captivating emerald eyes and perfect tan skin, but the hair and smile just topped it off.

I walk over to their table. "Hi."
"Hey." he said smoothly. Like sipping a cappuccino. Except I don't like cappuccinos so therefore that analogy is pointless.
"Oh, now she gets to sit at our table." the kid I remember as Johnny whines. I look at him and give him a cute little smile and mouth 'pleeeaaase'. Which makes him say fine. "So what do you have next?" Rick asks me.
"I have... Advanced Functions." I answer.
"Aww. I have Home Repair." he pouts and I can't help, but think that's adorable.
"Don't miss me too much." I teased. What is up with me?
"Anything special happening this week?" Rick asked after he took a drink from his water.
"Actually it's my birthday coming up on the twelfth." I said causing him nod.
"You're..." he pauses for a second and he says, "gonna be seventeen?"
"Yes, I'm impressed." I said smiling.
"You have the cutest smile." he said speaking his thoughts making me blush I could just feel the heat in my cheeks. We talked for a while then the bell rings and I get up to go to class. Then I feel a hand on my wrist.
"See ya later?" Rick asked and I nod in response.
I finally get to class and our teacher walks in. She has blonde hair in a bun and looked kinda young.
"Hello, I'm your new math teacher. My name is Harleen Quinzell." she says with a big smile.

This is my first work and I will hopefully stay around for a while. I will try to finish or at least expand on this piece of work for quite some time, expect a few hiatuses in between though, still have a bit of schooling to do. Expected release dates will probably be once a week(not sure yet) after I stabilized the novel a bit as I'm still debating on how I should handle this. I prefer fleshed-out works compared to quick releases, but it also depends on how I'm feeling. I don't have a lot of confidence in my writing skills and I believe that my writing style is a bit weird, but I do want to try my best to tell a story that's worth telling. I will gladly accept criticism but please try to pull the punches back a bit! I'm still only human after all. Very excited to work on this, please take good care of me as I proceed on this journey with all of you! P.S. If you're going into my series, expect to see cliches sprinkled here and there. I personally love cliches and a few tropes! But, that goes without saying, I want to put my own spin on them. Be ready to feel the edge!!! Heh.
