10k reads?! this is incredible!! i cried when i saw it. sending love, lots and lots of love. thank you so much, it means a lot to me.

I can hear the music from a street away, the taxi dropped us off in the next road and Nathan payed for it. It's only a two second walk from where we are.

We form in the queue outside we're all in the party mood as we dance to the music we can hear. It turns out Nathan is quite the dancer.

"Hey guys" Eric approaches with Issac follows behind, my stomach does a flip when we make eye contact. "Woah, hi beautiful" He winks and kisses my forehead.

"What are you doing here?" I look up at him surprised. "Come to celebrate your birthday of course" He smiles, holding my hand.

"You look amazing" He looks down at my dress, I smile.

"Don't look bad yourself" I smirk, knowing it's my turn to wink at him. He's wearing a crisp white shirt that compliments his natural tanned skin and a pair of dark wash jeans.

We slowly move towards the entrance and Ellie gets us all in except Nathan, Eric and Issas who are old enough to get themselves in. "Woaahhh!" Yasmine yells once we're in, we picked her up in the taxi on the journey.

I notice Ellie disappear out of sight once we get in but I shrug ignoring it, joining the girls on the dance floor.

We move our bodies to the beat holding hands and smiling for random pictures. I've never been to a club before but I like it so far, the lights are bright in the dark room and music is booming off the walls.

I loose sense of my mind for a while whilst I float off into the music, my body dances along and my hands raise to the air as I move around, waving them.

This is by far the best birthday I've ever had, it's been none stop smiles and laughs. I've been given a puppy which I've been wanting since, forever. I have no idea what moms going to say.

I feel so lucky to have all these people around me, this time last year when I'd locked myself in my bedroom I would of never imagined this would happen. All my family had come round and it was to much for me, they always ask questions and push to know information and I'm a very private person, I don't like people knowing my business if I haven't told them.

This time last year I had nothing but my thoughts constantly invading my head and now, I still have that but I'm learning to stop that and take control.

The song changes and I feel someone's hand connect with mine as we dance, "Have you seen Eric?" I shout to Henry over the music.

"I've seen him but he hasn't spoken to me" He shrugs, "But don't worry, see that boy over there?" Henry casually nods in the direction of a tall handsome man with dark hair and piercing blue eyes.

"Yes?" I raise my eyebrows toward Henry, "He brought me a drink, I'm gonna go chat with him in a minute" Henry winks, the man looks at Henry as they eye flirt.

"Then why are you with me? Go talk to him" I push excitedly, "I don't want to come across as to keen, even though I am. We'll casually dance towards him then I'll pretend to loose you in the crowd and, accidentally bump into him" He nods.

I nod along with his plan, "Have you done this before?" I give him a playfully but curious look, "Of course I have but tonight, it's just to make Eric jealous" He teases and I giggle.

"Let's do it" I take his other hand and we start to dance more instead of our little sway to the music.

We move our bodies to the music and I lift his arm up to twirl him, I spin him round as almost on que someone pushes between us and Henry does actually get lost in the crowd. I giggle as I walk back towards the bar.

"I got you a drink" Issac smiles, "Thank you" I take a sip and immediately crumple my face at the sharpness.

Issac and Eric laugh as they lean against the bar, "Whose Henry talking to?" Eric averts his attention to Henry, who is talking to the striking tall man.

"I'm not sure, Henry told me he brought him a drink so he went to talk to him" I shrug, I can see it bothering Eric but he brushes it away.

"Henry is such a tart" Issac laughs, "Hey! Don't call him that" I squat him.

"What? He is, he's always got a man after him" He smiles over at them, Henry is clearly flirting with him, his hand is placed on the man's forearm.

"Come on everyone! Let's dance" Amelia gathers everyone, "We should get Ellie" I feel bad just leaving her out like this, she did get us in the club.

"She was the one that walked away from us" Yasmine shrugs, I wave her off. That doesn't mean we should exclude her, we should ask her first.

I walk off in the direction she went, everyone else goes to dance clearly not caring about Ellie.

I walk up by the entrance and take a left like she did and follow it round. I push through a door that leads to a little corridor, I don't open any of the doors but I notice the fire exit is open and peek my head through.

I see Ellie sitting on the wall outside, she looks lost in thought jumping at every little noise she hears, "Ellie?" I step outside.

Her heads snaps up, "What are you doing?" She gets to her feet startled.

"I came to ask you if you wanted to dance" I hide back shyly, I feel like I've intruded on her.

She sighs a sound of relief and sits back down, "That's very kind of you" She mumbles, I slowly make my way over to her.

"Are you okay?" I tuck my dress underneath me and sit down next to her, "I'm not sure anymore Darcy" She sighs again, this time deeper.

"How did you do it Darcy?" She looks at me, her eyes are red and she looks even weaker then before.

"Do what?" I raise an eyebrow at her, confused. "How did you get everything to work out for you? You got the perfect boyfriend, a dog, good friends, your family back together. How did you do it?" She looks away, blinking away what I assume tears.

"My life isn't perfect Ellie" I shrug.

"Yes you do have the perfect life, look at you. You're gorgeous, clever and talented" She shakes her head.

"No I don't, I have crippling anxiety that I have to battle everyday" I mumble looking away. I feel selfish for not just taking the compliment and asking her what's wrong instead of flicking the conversation back to myself.

"Darcy I'm sorry, I didn't know. I guess I'm just jealous. You came to college with practically nothing and now you have it all" She puts her head in her hands.

"What's going on Ellie? This isn't you" I frown. I gently pull her hand away from her head and hold it.

"I don't want to talk about it" She waves off, I squeeze her hand in comfort, "You can tell me anything, believe me I don't want to talk about my problems but surprising it helps, a lot" I look into her eyes, the sadness circled in them breaks my heart.

"I'm pregnant" She blurts out like she's been desperate to tell someone for years.

I stay silent for a minute, "Oh Ellie" I frown and sit closer to her "Whose the dad?" I gently ask her, tears flow down her cheek.

"A guy from college" She mumbles, I sigh knowing she won't open up to me but I at least want to comfort her.

I put my arm around her shoulders and pull her into me, "It's Nathan, stupid stupid Nathan" She cries, but her voice wavers at his name.

"Ellie, it's okay" I stroke her hair, "No it's not, i've messed up my life"

I'm not shocked, maybe a little bit surprised but I guess that's the same thing. I feel sorry for her, she just wants the few simple dreams any other teenage wants.

"How did it happen?" I stroke her hair as she cries into my shoulder, "After Issac broke things off I just felt so alone, I know he's never felt the same way about me but I still tried and I got my heart broken, he was never going to like me back whether you'd come along or not" She sniffs.

"I knew Nathan's house was always free, his parents are never there so I just went round, we'd always been flirtatious and I just wanted that male attention. His friends were there, they were drinking so I joined in, soon it just became a party when more people joined" She shrugs, "I got drunk and so did Nathan and we started dancing which led to kissing" She mumbles the last bit.

"Which led to going upstairs?" I raise my eyebrows, trying to word it politely. "Which led to going upstairs" She sighs sitting up, her hand still in mine.

"I regretted it instantly the next morning, I ran from his house crying I just felt dirty and ashamed, I still do" She avoids my eye, "Then weeks after I notice my sense of smell had changed and it became sensitive, one sniff of Yasmine's perfume and I was being sick down the toilet" Her tears carry on flowing, she's trying to blink them away.

"I just knew instantly, I took a test within that hour and prayed it said negative, but it didn't" She bursts out into tears.

I hug her tightly, a tear leaks from my eye for her, "It'll be okay Ellie, I promise, I'm here for you, I'll help you" I rub her back.

"Really?" She pulls back wiping her eyes, "Of course" I nod.

"Does anyone else know?" I ask, enclosing both my hands around hers.

"No, just you" She cracks a small smile, "Okay, we'll just wait until you're ready" She sighs, relief nodding along.

"But if you're thinking of maybe getting an abortion, Nathan needs to know" My voice becomes quiet in case anyone is lurking around.

"I've thought about it but I don't have the heart, this baby didn't choice to be here it was my foolish actions so I don't have the right to make that decision to kill it, maybe adoption, I want to give it a good quality of life" She wipes away more tears, I nod.

"I support you whatever decision you make" I look into her eyes, they fill with hope and reassurance.

"Thank you Darcy, I don't deserve your kindness" She squeezes your hand, "I really appreciate this, my mom, she was pregnant at my age and had no one, she was scared my nan and grandad would kick her out and the dad was some sleaze so she got rid of it" Ellie cries, "She regretted it, she could of given the baby a good life but instead she killed it and she had to carry that guilt until she died"

Ellie has never opened up to me before, I feel honoured that she feels comfortable enough to do this. "Well you aren't in your moms position, everyone will support and help you, especially me, I'm going to help you through this" I smile.

We sit and chat for a while until she stops crying and instead starts laughing.

"C'mon, lets go have some fun" I stand to my feet.

"I'm not really good company right now" She shrugs, shaking her head. "I'm not taking no as an answer, I am the birthday girl so you have to do as I say" I wink, hoping to win her over.

She sighs then rolls her eyes playfully before standing up, I smile and take her hand dragging her inside.

Everyone is on the dance floor, me and Ellie slide in and everyone cheers when we join the group, they look a bit shocked at the fact I'm with Ellie but they brush it off and carry on dancing.
