Another day of college, whipee. I arrive and go straight to maths with Tim, I'm a little bit late due to traffic but it's not my fault, the bus was slow.

I felt a bit stupid about telling Issac all that stuff, Ezra is right I haven't known Issac that long at all and I've already shared some of personal stories with him, I don't even have a contact number for him.

I slump down in my chair next to Issac, Ellie smiling straight at him as he sleeps on the desk, I can still be friends with Issac just not let him get as close next time.

I gently lift up the corner of his hood to see his peaceful face resting, "Darling Darcy" He mumbles with a smile, "Good morning" I giggle.

"Issac Flynn, please stop sleeping and wake up it's time for math!" Tim walks into the room, Issac groans in response and sits up removing his hood.

"Today we'll be working in partners then you'll have set homework together, you can do it however you want as long as it's done and in by next week that'll be fine" He gets papers

together giving everyone a sheet, Issac claims me as his partner straight away.

"Why don't you partner up with Ellie? She'd love it" I smile at him but he just responds with a grunt, "You're my partner" He goes back to lying on the desk.

"Do I get a choice?" I raise my eyebrows, "No" He huffs.

I roll my eyes and sit back, for some reason a bad mood had clouded over him and I didn't like it, I was just suggesting.

Tim hands out the work and I get on with doing it, Issac just watches me from his lazy position on the desk, I ignore him and carry on.

"What's the matter with you?" He grunts from his position, "What's the matter with you?" I slap back at him, I didn't have a problem it was him.

"Nothing" He mumbles muffling his hood up, I don't even look up, we haven't spoken since the party and it worries me slightly, I don't want him to regret opening up to me.

I hadn't opened up to him, maybe a little but I still didn't feel ready to, I find it hard to open up to people, I'm finding myself getting more comfortable with Issac but Ezra told me to be careful who I let in.

He still hasn't spoken to me, Ezra. Last night he was being quiet with me and I hate it, I got the bus to college because I can't bare when I upset Ezra, when he's quiet I hate to upset him.

You ruin everything.

I shake my head, he wouldn't be home when I got back since he comes back late sometimes from work, he cheers me up everyday. Every morning we normally sit down and we just breath and relax and it helps me so much even though it might be silly, that hasn't happened today and I wasn't feeling right.

"What are you thinking?" Issac is now up and looking at me, I flinch not realising he'd moved, "W-what?" I shake my head.

"You've been staring into space for a while and I was just wondering what you're thinking" He now looks worried, his face falling soft.

"Oh, it's nothing" I wave off shrugging.

"Darcy" He raises his eyebrows, he looks worried, his eyes searching mine, "It's just Ezra" I mumble looking away.

"What's happened?" He frowns taking my hand in his, he takes all my problems seriously and actively listens to me, I really appreciate how much concern and effort he has to make me feel better.

"I upset him and he didn't really talk to me this morning" I look down at our hands finding myself outline one of his rings with my fingertip, "Why? You couldn't hurt a fly how could you possibly upset someone?" He laughs making me smile shyly.

"I told him about the party and s-stuff" I find myself being emotional about the situation, I really hate upsetting Ezra, he's the only person I have that understands everything I suffer with and without him I'm alone.

"Stuff? Me stuff?" He frowns looking upset, "Y-yes" I nod my eyes tearing up but I blink them away.

"He found out I shared a bed with you and got upset because I haven't known you long and he doesn't even know you" I mumble feeling defeated I always speak to my problems to Ezra but I obviously can't talk to him about this and I feel lost.

"He just cares for you, he's worried, he's just found out you've shared a bed with an incredibly handsome man and he doesn't know me, he's just worried" He connects his eyes with mine pulling a supportive smile, I laugh at his little speech, "Incredibly handsome?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Yes" He laughs, happy with the compliment he gave himself, "Don't worry Darling Darcy, I don't think he can stay mad at you for long, don't think anyone could" He smiles winking at me before tucking hair behind my ear.

"Thank you" I blush a pink hoping he doesn't notice but I know he does, "I like your ring" I change the subject to get my mind off my embarrassing pink cheeks.

"Issac, Darcy back to work please" Tim looks at us from his chair, I let go of Issac's hand quickly before anyone sees and go back to the work sheet.

After the lesson finishes we have lunch break, Tim's given us a booklet of work that me and Issac have to complete over the course of a week.

"So how we gonna do this work?" Issac catches up to me when I leave the classroom, making my way down the flight of stairs, "I'll do it don't worry" I smile with a shrug.

"What? No, we're partners I'll help you" He frowns his eyebrows meeting me at the bottom of the stairs, "Okay" I nod.

The refectory was full with students, I see Yasmine, Ellie and Amelia sitting on a table near the windows and head towards them, "Darcy wait" Issac gently pulls me back.

"Yes?" I look up at him, "I'll come round yours tonight so we can crack on with this work, is that okay?" He looks back at his friends who are waving him outside, I feel hesitant for him to come round because of Ezra and mom but I don't have a choice.

"Yeah, that's okay" I give him a reassuring smile before walking off towards the table, "Hey guys" I smile.

"Mine and Issac's date is tomorrow night!" Ellie smirks at me, I hold to roll my eyes and give her my sweetest smile, "I know, I talked him into doing it" I sit down, a look of annoyance crossed her face before she copies my actions with a smile.

"I knew he'd ask me in the end I was right, he couldn't possibly like someone like you he obviously prefers someone wealthy and beautiful like me, I have a lot more to offer" She smirks, I don't know why Ellie finds the need to bring me down, I'm the one who got him to ask her in the first place.

She's right.

I shake my head, "Ellie, that wasn't very nice" Amelia looks annoyed, she just shrugs.

"Thank you Amelia but it's okay, if it wasn't for me she wouldn't have a date with him, I practically had to force him" I shrug, everyone is silent on the table and Ellie looks beyond annoyed that I think steam will come out her ears, she storms off.

"Just leave her, she shouldn't of said that to Darcy" Yasmine rolls her eyes, "She's always been bitchy when it comes to Issac, she likes no one going near her man" Yasmine eats more of her food.

"Her man? They aren't together?" I frown my eyebrows, "I know but apparently she's claimed him"

I become irritated, Issac wasn't a prize that could just be claimed he's a person with feelings.

I'd love to be with them on their date to witness Ellie's face when Issac tells her what he really thinks about her.

College was over and I've never been happier to get out of this place, Ellie has been irritating me all day about Issac. I wanted to tell her exactly how Issac really feels about her but I'm not stooping that low.

I huff out into the car park, I thought me and Ellie were friends, she was so nice to me on the first day and invited me along with her to Nathan's party. It's surprising how one boy can ruin a whole friendship but the thing is I don't even like Issac like that, he's just my friend.

"Hey hey! Darcy are you okay?" Issac frowns his eyebrows standing in front of me.

"Yes I'm fine, you don't have to keep asking me every five minutes, I'm fine" I snap but regret it immediately when I see his frown, "I'm sorry" I sigh.

"It's okay, what's up? I was convinced I was gonna see steam come out your ears" He chuckles, I crack a smile, "Just been a bad day" I shake my head.

"You can tell me all about it" He opens the passenger seat to his car, "Where are we going?" I halt.

"Your house, get this math thing over with so we can actually go do fun stuff" He smiles showing me his perfectly straight teeth, I had completely forgotten about that.

"Oh, yeah" I shake my head, it's not like me to forget homework I was always the kid to do the homework the night I got it. I get in the car putting my bags down by my feet watching Issac walk around into his side.

"So whose upset you?" He starts the engine, raising his eyebrows. "Ellie" I tut, he rolls the car forward and off we go.

"Ellie? Thought you two were friends?" He sounds unsure, "We were until you come along" I roll my eyes.

"Oh I am sorry, are you fighting over me?" He winks, "Hardly"

"She just thinks we have a thing going on and I guess she's jealous, I'm not sure" I shrug.

"She can't get her head around the fact males and females can just be friends" He waves off, "She's like it with any girl I'm around, last year I liked this girl, she was on my course, she's left now unlike me whose still here" He pauses rolling his eyes, "But yeah I liked her she was really nice and we just had a bit in common and Ellie ruined it by spreading rumours about me" He shrugs looking upset, eyes focused on the road but recovers himself.

"I'm sorry that happened" I frown, "It's no biggie" He sighs pulling up outside my house.

Moms cars on the drive, I'm nervous to introduce Issac to my family, he's not the normal type of person I would hang out with, mom would judge him straight away just by his outfit, dark jeans, dark shirt, dark jacket.

Maybe I should try convince him to add a pop of colour into his outfits, I don't want to change him in any way but I think a blue would suit him nicely.

"I apologise in advance for whatever my mom comes out with" I whine, I hear him chuckle behind me as we climb the drive, unlocking the door the warmth wraps around us.

"I'm home" I mumble into the house, mom comes bursting out the kitchen wearing her baking apron, flour and other food smeared across it.

"How was your day sweetie?" Her warm smile beams looking at me until her eyes roam across Issac, her smile fading becoming lope sided.

"Whose your friend?" She asks in a fake cheery voice, "This is Issac, we've maths homework to do" I shrug and guide him into the kitchen where the dining table is.

I can see mom wants to ask more questions as she follows and hovers around the table, "Can I get you any drinks?"

"No thanks mom, this shouldn't take long anyways" I shrug getting me and Issac straight to work avoiding all contact with mom.

"I don't think your mom likes me" She walks off into the kitchen Issac chuckling as he sorts my work from his.

"She's only just met you, I've never really brought friends around before" I frown embarrassed, "I am honoured to be the first" He winks.

"You invited yourself here" I try not to smile, mastering my serious face, "This is partner work meaning we have to do it together as partners" He smiles wickedly.

I laugh and get on with the work, it wasn't that hard it was just preparation for our maths tests. Tim's wants us to do it together so we can quiz each other, Issac seems to know all of them easily but I'm not as good.

"I'll show you" He smiles writing down the question with a way of solving it, I feel embarrassed that I didn't know it but Issac doesn't even take notice and helps me anyways.

"We're home" Ezra and Joseph come through the front door, I was hoping we'd be finished before they got home I knew Ezra wouldn't be to thrilled to see Issac.

"Whose that? Your boyfriend?" Joseph walks in first, looking at Issac straight away, I can sense the judgment just coming off him.

"This is Issac, my friend" I force my best smile looking at Joseph, "Didn't think he was your boyfriend anyway, who would wanna get with you" He laughs, "I'm surprised you have friends though" He shrugs, Issac looks angry and is about to stand up when I hold his hand under the table to stop him.

I shake my head signalling for him not to say anything, he huffs and sits back shooting dangers at Joseph's back.

Ezra stands looking and I'm slightly hurt by the fact that he hadn't jumped to my defence but I shake it off, he hasn't got to defend me every time I'm a big girl, I can handle it.

I carry on swiftly with my work, "Does he always talk to you like that?" Issac mumbles into my ear while Joseph and mom are talking so they can't hear, "I guess" I shrug.

"He's not very nice to you" He frowns his eyebrows, "He's just my brother" I shrug but the look of concern on his face doesn't lighten, "Is no one gonna say anything to him?" Issac looks up at Joseph's back, Ezra is staring at him from a distance.

"No" I mumble even lower, Joseph's harshness towards me didn't effect me any more I'm used to it.

"So whose paying you?" Joseph sniggers walking back towards the table, "Paying me for what?" Issac looks up at him from his work.

"To be friends with little Darcy here" He raises his eyebrows looking at Issac, "No one" His response comes through a clenched jaw.

"So you willingly hang out with her?" Joseph pretends to be shocked, I look down playing with the hem of my shirt.

Who would wanna hang out with you? He's probably being payed.

I shake my head, I'm not gonna let Joseph upset me that's only what he wants but yet I find myself close to tears.

"Why are you such a dick to her?" Issac stands to his feet, my body heats up with panic as I grab Issac's hand to try sit him back down.

"What's it to you?" Joseph snarls looking Issac up and down, "I'm just asking why you're hanging out with a mental box" Issac jumps towards Joseph ready to punch him in the face.

Ezra quickly grabs Joseph as he goes to fight Issac and I quickly stand in front of Issac placing my hands on his chest to move him back.

"What's your problem?" Joseph shouts trying to wriggle out of Ezra's grip, "You think it's okay to call her a mental box? What the fuck has she even done to you?" Issac shouts just as loud back while my small frame tries to keep him from moving closer to Joseph.

"Don't come into my house and pretend you know what's happened! Another person falling for the poor little innocent Darcy act" Joseph shrugs Ezra off harshly.

Issac is about to snap back when Ezra cuts him off, "I think you should leave" He says sternly, "Fine" Issac shrugs, "She's coming with me" He takes my hand and guides me after him.

"I don't think so" Ezra pulls me back, I nearly fall to the ground but manage to save myself, "Yes she is" Issac takes my hand again and pulls me over to him, "Like I'm gonna let her stay in a house with that arsehole" Issac snarls and walks me out the front door with him.
