I watched worriedly as Jackson hurried out of the room behind Eli. Turning around, I looked at Mason. "Do you know what's going on?" I asked of him.

He shook his head, but I could tell that he was worried too. He tried to hide it and pretend nothing was wrong, but I could see the look in his eye. "I don't know, but I'm sure it's nothing serious."

I sighed. "Why is everything so secretive?" I asked. I just wanted someone to tell me what was going on, especially if it had anything to do with Bane. It was me he was gunning for after all.

"It's not really," Mason replied with a laugh. "They need to talk things over before they announce whatever it is to the pack. If there is something wrong, the pack is a lot more reassured when their leaders come forward and say 'something happened, but here's what we're going to do about it' than if they were to say, 'something happened and we have no idea what to do'."

I sighed again. "I guess that makes sense. I'm just worried about Bane doing something."

"You shouldn't be," Mason told me, patting my head like I was a dog. Newsflash! He's the dog in this room, not me! "So, Patrick Swayze?" he asked, changing the subject and gesturing to the television with a suggestive eyebrow waggle.

I laughed, allowing the subject change. "I don't know how they haven't figured out that you're gay yet."

He sniffed. "I'll have you know, I'm a very manly gay man!"

I snorted. "Sure you are. We'll see how you react during the rest of this movie and then decide."

"Deal," Mason replied firmly, holding out his hand to shake. "I can refrain from gushing about Swayze's sexiness because I'm a manly gay."

I laughed as I shook his hand and then we settled down to watch the rest of the movie. I quite enjoyed watching it with him. Despite our deal, he reacted much the same as I did.

At the very end, when Johnny says "nobody puts Baby in a corner", Mason and I went crazy, as any sane person watching the movie would have.

"Yeah! Nobody puts Baby in a corner!" we screamed at the television right after Johnny.

"Really?" Eli asked, walking into the room with Jackson following right behind him. They both had large smiles on their faces, laughing at our more than apparent enthusiasm for the movie. Seriously, though, if they don't realize that Mason is gay after that display, they never will. I'm just saying.

I looked back at them with wide eyes. "Yes, really," I retorted. "Don't you guys know that's like the most famous line in the movie? And the best if you ask me."

Jackson and Eli rolled their eyes while Mason nodded in agreement, but acted all manly like he was just humoring me. I know he loves that line, as he'd admitted it shortly after we started watching the movie together.

Jackson walked forward and picked me up before sitting down in my spot and putting me in his lap, all in one smooth movement.

"So what happened?" I asked Jackson.

He exchanged glances with Eli and said, "Nothing all that important. Just regular pack stuff that Eli needed some help with."

For some reason, I didn't feel like he was telling the truth, but I didn't push him on it in front of everyone. I'd ask him about it another time. I'm sure that if it had been about Bane, he'd tell me. Right?

Jackson rejoined me on the couch, making Mason scoot over and Eli left to go find Alice.

"Are you up for another movie?" Jackson asked, watching the credits roll across the screen, the characters still dancing behind them.

I glanced at the clock by the door. It was only noon. "I'm up for a few more, if you guys are," I replied, looking up at Jackson with a bright smile.

He grinned back, leaning down and capturing my lips in a heated kiss. I sank my fingers into his hair, gripping tightly as I tried not to float away into the bliss of his lips on mine. All too soon, Jackson pulled away, resting his forehead against my own. "I've missed you," he whispered, staring into my eyes.

"I've missed you too," I whispered back, leaning forward just enough for my lips to brush tantalizingly against his.

He growled quietly, lunging forward and taking my lips again, leaning me back against the arm of the couch. A clearing throat brought us out of our passion. I blushed as I realized that I'd completely forgotten Mason was sitting beside us still.

He was looking everywhere but at us as he muttered about mates and PDA. Jackson grinned proudly and I couldn't hold back my giggle as I buried my red face in his chest. He rubbed my back and kissed the top of my head gently.

"What's going on in here?" Alice asked suggestively as she walked through the door, holding Eli's hand.

I pulled my face out of Jackson's chest and found her standing beside the couch with a grin on her face as she took in the three of us on the couch-Mason still muttering.

"Stop it!" I told her, trying to stop the blood rushing to my cheeks, but not succeeding if her laughter was any indication. Eli winked at me and sat in the chair beside the couch, pulling Alice into his lap.

When we'd all settled down, Mason got up and, per Jackson's instructions, started a Harry Potter marathon. I smiled to myself when Jackson said to put it in. I'd known earlier that he'd have much rather watched Harry Potter than Dirty Dancing, but I thought it would be funny to get him to watch it with me.

I was a little disappointed that he missed most of it talking to Eli, but nothing could ruin my mood today. I was with Jackson for the first time in a week and I was as happy as could be about it. I settled myself against his side, burrowing in for the duration of the marathon.

By nine o'clock, we'd made it through the fourth movie and decided to call it a night. Eli, Alice and Jackson had to be up early for a meeting in the morning and I didn't want to come home too late on my first night being ungrounded. Best to keep my father happy.

There were hugs all around as Jackson prepared to take me home.

"You come back real soon, Ceci," Alice told me as she squeezed me tightly. "No more of this grounded stuff."

I laughed. "I'll do my absolute best, Alice," I replied.

She nodded knowingly. "You have no control over these things, I know." Turning she slapped Jackson's arm. "You stop getting Ceci into trouble!" she scolded him. "I happen to like seeing her around here."

Jackson rolled his eyes at her and grabbed my hand. "Let's get you home, Ceci, before I end up being responsible for you being grounded again and Alice murders me." Alice and I laughed as Jackson towed me out the door and I waved to Eli over my shoulder.
