《A Mindful Relationship [Jensoo]》Chapter 15

"When you said we'll hang out, I didn't expect you to take me on a hike." I whined as I took another step on the rocky soil of this extremely steep mountain.
If I knew her definition of hang out is not going in a cafe or walking by the Han River, I could've declined. Well, that'd be a lie. Jisoo's always fun to hang with even though we only met days before.
I felt a small vibration on the back of my pants and so I took my phone out and read the message sent to me.
'Just a bit more.'
I internally screamed upon seeing the message and back to the track of where we were walking, the distance to the peak was limitless. I couldn't feel my legs anymore but I didn't say anything to Jisoo who looked very excited with all this and so suffering will be for later. "We better be near, Jisoo."
Each step I took, my legs would become even more tired obviously. Jisoo really be tiring me out here and I am as fit as I could get already. Seriously, this girl's got no chill.
"By the way, did you bring anything edible?" I asked, noticing that she had nothing with her or in the car at that matter. And I'm already starving because of her.
My phone in my hand vibrated and I immediately opened the message that made me sigh in relief. The news I really needed to hear.
'Food will be where we're going.'
"There better be or I'll have to eat you." As soon as I realized what I said, I abruptly snapped my head towards her direction to only see her smirking and really amused face.
'Eat me, ey?'
Was the message I got after that embarrassing moment and here I thought Jisoo wasn't like Lisa who always had the audacity to tease me. She got affected by the happy virus none other than Lalisa Manoban.
An exasperated sigh escaped my lips while the latter only smiled at me in amusement. "What I meant was eat your share of the food." I clarified, word by word. Emphasis is key...
'Okay.'
She replied with a grin. That only shows how happy she is of the current situation I have put myself into and I couldn't get any more annoyed. I'm sure Lisa ordered her to be like this.
"How much longer?" I asked as the awkward tension in the air eased a little from the moment before. Such an embarrassment of a memory should be deleted from my mind.

As I was still busy contemplating my life decisions and fucking with my head, I didn't even notice that Jisoo stopped in front of me making me bump onto her back with a small 'oof.' She abruptly turned around making me stumble a few steps but nothing to push me over.
She held a paper in front of me which I didn't know she had until now and placed it in my palms. I read it and wondered...
We're here.
I looked at her as if she said something stupid just now but she didn't even react but only grinned wider than before. "Jisoo, we're nowhere."
I commented while gesturing to the trees all around us. It was also getting dark which I wasn't that oblivious about awhile ago. She only smiled a little before taking my hand in hers.
Don't get me wrong, she took me aback but that didn't make the weird feeling inside my stomach. Butterflies they say? Yeah right. I shook my head of the stupid thoughts overtaking it and just let Jisoo lead me to the destination she was talking about almost an hour ago already.
Just as I was just about to ask something to her, she covered my eyes with her free hand and the other clutching my hand tightly. She didn't have to say anything for me to get what she meant and so I closed my eyes shut as her hand freed from contact with my face.
We took a few slow steps, mostly led by Jisoo, and was getting near the place. Just as Jisoo said minutes ago. The wind was strong and cold but the warmth that was radiating off of Jisoo's body made the coldness of the night bearable.
I was about to say something when Jisoo let go of my hand, leaving me lost and cold. I don't know the reason why I didn't open my eyes honestly. Maybe because the second she let go, she slowly caressed my cheek as if saying to open my eyes and I did.
"Holy... wow..." Was the only thing I could say while taking in the new sight laid in front of my eyes.
A beautiful landscape of the sea and the city parted by the shore and the place where Jisoo led us was in the middle of it all. I can clearly see everything. Every detail and speck of the city lights was making the sight much more colorful and partnered with the sea, it was making things greater than I presumed. Romantic. If this was supposedly a date which it wasn't...

Beautiful, isn't it?
Jisoo noted and I paid no mind to her note not until I realized she was looking at me with a soft smile on her face. "Wh-Why're you looking at me?"
"Beautiful." She mouthed with her lips which took me aback. I never actually had a thought of her knowing how to lip-sync...
I had no idea on how much time I've been staring at her but I simply looked away with heated cheeks and murmured, "Shut up..."
A small laugh escaped her lips and soon died out making everything seem quiet but comfortable. The two of us just enjoyed each other's company not until a specific someone tried to ruin the perfect moment.
"Pretty..."
"What?" I asked, baffled of the sudden intrusion of silence. "You said something just now." I pointed to Jisoo who looked rather amused than offended as she should be.
Another laugh escaped her lips while she handed me a note which I guess she ready readied for times like this. And it says:
I can't talk.
I cleared my throat to ease the incoming blush creeping on my face and rolled my eyes before responding, "I know that but I swear I heard a voice."
She handed me another note which most likely cleared this discussion.
Maybe it was your partner?
"My partner-. My soulmate?"
Yeah.
"Maybe... but I'll just ignore her." I shrugged, not exactly trying to be rude to the mystery soulmate but I don't exactly want talking to her right now.
Her?
The note she gave me took me a back a little but what did I expect from an innocent-looking angel. "Yeah... d-do you not feel comfortable with that topic? I could just-."
Another round of laughter came out of her before she scribbled down another note and gave it to me.
I'm lesbian.
I never expected her to be so straightforward about this. Actually, I never expected her to be anything but a good girl bu I guess I was wrong about her. "O-Oh. Really? You don't look like it."
Like how I don't look like a delinquent.
"You don't but... is it true?"
Lisa isn't wrong.
"So you were a delinquent." I tried clarifying.
That's right.
"Should I be scared..?"
You should. I could just knock you out right now and do things to you that you never imagined I could do.
A small smirk formed on her lips which gave me shivers. "W-would you do it?"
Of course not.
"How could I hurt an angel?"
"Shit." I swore. This annoying bitch is really a mood wrecker. I apologetically eyed Jisoo which she shook her for in understanding. "My soulmate keeps on speaking randomly, I get startled. That dumb shit."
...
"I had fun watching the stars with you." I said, breaking the silence me and Jisoo were sharing for good measures. She gave me a small smile in return of my shy one.
"I had fun too."
And there I had it. "Aish... stop speaking so randomly, you dumb shit."
"It's not my fault. My mind just automatically say things to you." I rolled my eyes as if she'll actually see me doing that which was an advantage. "And they're not even intended for your assuming ass."
"Ah... it's not you, okay? It's her." Jisoo only nodded in understanding which was a relief. "Thanks."
I made my way out of Jisoo's earshot and groaned in frustration before conversing with this shit ass.
"Great. You made my friend convince me to talk to you, you dumbo."
Not long after, she responded.
"How is it my fault?! You have the audacity to say that."
"Can we just stop talking like right now so I can spend more time with my friend?"
"Tss. How the hell do we even make this stop?"
"Just shut your mind or something."
"I just asked how, genius."
"I don't know. That's your problem."
"It's your problem too. If I don't stop, you don't stop either. We'll have to keep talking until I figure out how to shut my mind."
"This is the worse."
"Look, I'm also hanging out with someone so your not the only one who has a problem here."
"Whatever."
"Your infuriating."
"Ditto."
"Aish!" Her tone is almost painfully amusing to me that I want this to go linger but I want to spend time with Jisoo more. Poor girl. "Let's just tell our friends that we'll have to call this hang out short and then we'll have more time to figure out this whole soulmate thing."
"Fine."
I arrived again in front of Jisoo while contemplating what to say say to her and so I started with,
"Hey Jis-."
I have an important meeting to attend to so I'll have to cancel this hang out. I apologize.
A meeting at this young age?
"No. No. It's fine."
Then shall we head home?
"Sure."
