《A Mindful Relationship [Jensoo]》Chapter 14

"Lisa, may I ask on why Jisoo is covered up with patches all over her face?" I pointed to Jisoo who was still busy choosing what drink to choose from the vending machine nearby as I rested my arm on Lisa's shoulder while the blonde was still busy talking to Chaeyoung who didn't look the slightest interested on what Manoban was talking about.
"What do you mean covered up? That's the least number of bandages she could get up to now." Lisa abruptly faced me with a questioned look, dismissing her chat with Chaeyoung which the blue-haired girl appreciated just by the sigh of relief she breathed out.
"L-least?"
"She might not seem like it but Jisoo Unnie can be a delinquent at times." Lisa whispered into my ear as she noticed my shocked state. Smugly smirking as she pulled away from me.
"What?!"
"You heard me right so stop asking me on why she's bandaged up because I have no idea where she got those new bruises on her overly perfect face." She waved me off, now completely staring at Chaeyoung who was busy inspecting her nails for the ninth time today. It's a habit that I wish would disappear because when she does that, it's either she's listening to you or not. It's hard to see the difference really.
"I'm just speechless."
"Is the news that shocking?" Lisa asked as I nodded eagerly. She sighed before resting her hand on my shoulder while I contemplate on either believing her or not.
"She looks too innocent to even hurt a fly! Explain to me on how that angelic face can be a delinquent?!"
Jisoo questioningly looked at me as she made her way towards our table while I gestured to her with both my arms in a crazy manner. Lisa just rolled her eyes at me while the others laughed at the show they were witnessing right now.
"I don't know, okay? Why are you harassing me?"
"I was not harassing you, you dimwit." I knocked her head, effectively stopping her from pouting any longer. A disgusting sight to see.
"Shut up, you pipsqueak." She said while rubbing her forehead on where she was knocked at by yours truly.
"What did you just call me?!"
"You were the one who started the name calling, you ass. Why are you getting angry?!"
"You are so gonna get it." I cracked my knuckles, wearing a smirk at that, as her face became pale and hurriedly hid behind Chaeyoung who glared at her. She only gave the older girl a sheepish smile for an apology.
"This is way more amusing to watch than I thought." Dahyun commented while hysterically laughing with the others which made me groan.
"What is?"
"This. This argument because it's a new sight because apparently, you and Chaeyoung are the ones who are always arguing."
"It's not funny though."
"You guys are always so loud like seriously." Nayeon added making me glare at her.
"Shut your trap, Nayeon."

"Wha—t? It's true." She shrugged but I can't really deny that because it was true and I'll only look like an idiot if I do deny it so I decided not to and just save myself from embarrassment.
What I didn't expect was a paper being stuck onto my forehead by none other than Kim Jisoo. I sent her a glare which she only shrugged at before chewing onto her chicken sandwich. I took the note off my forehead while still glaring at her but right after, I laughed at what is says.
I agree.
"Not you too..." I chuckled while hitting her shoulder playfully while she only smiled in response.
"Unnie does prefer a quiet surrounding." Lisa commented.
"Really?" I asked facing her. She shrugged while handing me another note which she wrote in advance I suppose.
Kinda. But you guys can be as loud as you want. I can cope up quickly.
"It's true. So be as loud as you guys want." Lisa waves her arms around everyone's faces while the others swatted it away almost immediately.
"So what if the person is a screamer?" I asked, acting all innocent.
"What do you mea-." Lisa started but then realized what I said making her and the group gasp before they were beating my shoulders while our laughters erupted in the air.
"Get your dirty asses out of here and go to class already." Jihyo hits everyone's butt repeatedly making everyone whine but obliged anyways.
"See ya guys later!" They waved at us one last time before walking away.
The four of us were about to head to our classes when we heard footsteps behind us. We turned around to see Nayeon panting heavily. Me and Jisoo signaled the maknaes to go to their classes or they'll be late and they obeyed, immediately running to their class.
"Um... my name's Nayeon, by the way." Nayeon tiredly handed her hand out for Jisoo to shake and all Jisoo did was stare at it, face showing no interest on it whatsoever.
"Take her hand, Jis." I nudged Jisoo's side with my elbow but she didn't budge at all. Her face was still as blank as ever and her arms were simply folded on her chest. I elbowed her side again but got no response but a glance. "Jis..."
"N-never mind anymore, Jen." Nayeon returned her hand to herself after I apologized to her with my eyes. She nervously chuckled while taking a glance at Jisoo who didn't look like she'll pay attention to Nayeon ever. "Maybe next time she's ready to talk to strangers. See ya later."
I sighed seeing Nayeon's leaving figure before facing Jisoo who looked so innocent right now as if she didn't do anything wrong. "Yah. Why didn't you take her hand?"
She passed me a note and I almost rolled my eyes reading her lame excuse.
I don't like talking to strangers.
"I was a stranger when you first met me. You were already fine talking with me by the second we communicated with each other. And also, I thought you were good with them already after we've hung around awhile ago."

First of all, I didn't warm up to them yet and secondly, your different from them.
I almost chocked on air when I read her response. When I say I was touched was an understatement, I was blushing for Pete's sake! What she said was unexpected and I never even knew she thought of it that way so I tried my best to compose myself and not look all giddy and excited.
Should I respond? I should.
"Should I be honored then? That's doesn't change the fact that you rudely declined Nayeon's invitation to being friends, Jis." I crossed my arms and acted mad which worked miraculously because now she was pouting and hanging her head low in apology.
She passed me a note after a minute of silence from the both of us. Screw class.
Why are you so mad about it anyways?
"I-." I didn't really know if I was mad or not. I was just... upset about how Nayeon's cheerful self just vanished after Jisoo didn't even reciprocate her greeting. Not even a smile. So I coughed to clear my throat and responded, "Because Nayeon looked sad after you just stared at her hand."
Is that really it?
"Yes. What else could it be then?"
Nothing.
"Let's get to class." I took her hand and we made our way to class, getting ready for a scolding by Mr. Lee.
...
"Hey guys, mind if I sit with you?" Nayeon asked, a shy smile on her face. "The girls have some business to attend to."
"Sure, Nayeon." I agreed. Motioning her to sit with us but unfortunately for her, Jisoo's side of the seats was the only one empty.
Nayeon reluctantly sat beside Jisoo who didn't even share a glance at the pale girl making the atmosphere feel heavy in seconds. But nonetheless, everyone remained busy with their food. "Uh... h-hi."
I could clearly see that Nayeon was trying her best to befriend Jisoo and here I am to help her. I mean, what are friends for right?
I snapped my head onto Jisoo's reaction while she blankly looked at me, clueless of what she was doing to my friend. I gave her a 'you-better-say-hi-back-or-your-gonna-get-it.' kinda look which made her gulp.
She took her small notebook out and scribbled a greeting which I knew was super short because in a matter of seconds, the note was right in front of Nayeon who was taken aback.
Hey.
Nayeon's smile widened and her eyes twinkled when she finally achieved her goal of talking with Jisoo or that's what I see at least. "Oh. So you prefer communicating like this, huh? That's pretty unique if you ask me."
Another round of silence occurred but was broken but Manoban thankfully broke the tension by patting Nayeon's shoulder while the pale girl waited for a reply from Jisoo who looked bored as of now.
Does she really have to show her disinterest in front of Nayeon?
"She says her thanks, Nayeon Unnie." Lisa reassured the older girl who only gave her a halfhearted smile before getting up and leaving with her shoulders in a defeated manner.
The three of us sighed before looking at Jisoo pointedly and all she did was shrug.
...
Me and Jisoo were currently in class when Jisoo decided to bother me from listening to Ms. Jung's lesson. But I didn't mind. I clearly never understood anything in school anyways.
What are you doing after school?
She passed me a note which made me smile for no apparent reason. I took out a pen before writing back my response, passing it to her secretly after I've finished.
Go home obviously.
Not long after, another note was slid right in front of me by Jisoo who was feigning focus on the lesson but in all honesty, she was just staring blankly at Ms. Jung's fine ass. I mean, I do too so I can't argue.
Mind if we hang out later?
I thought for a second for my reply then scribbled it down onto the paper with a small smirk when I saw her confused reaction after I've passed it to her.
And why so?
She responded quickly then slid the note to me which looked a bit worn out now due to the whole exchange of communication but whatever.
You don't want to?
I smiled, glancing at Jisoo's anticipating state. Leg tapping on the floor, fingers fiddling, and her lips dry but she quickly wetted it with her tongue and when I tell you I stared at every movement her tongue did, I did.
I quickly wrote a reply and handed the paper to her which she immediately read. Her brows furrowed at my response which I only shrugged at.
I could. But give me a good reason why.
A small smirk formed onto her lips while she wrote her reply and I was here waiting for it in anticipation. Now I know what she felt a while ago. Finally, she handed it to me and her response almost made me blush.
Because I want to be with you.
I took all my self control all together for me not to squeal in delight here in class because I was acting so weirdly and my heartbeat was fastening. That's not good.
I wrote my reply and passed the paper to her.
Not a valid reason.
I swear I heard her groan in frustration which made me celebrate internally. She tapped her chin for a whole minute before she finally had an answer to write on the paper. She handed it to me and I read it carefully.
If you hang out with me, I'll properly talk with your friend.
I looked up at her and saw her nod. I hummed in agreement before handing her my reply.
Nayeon?
Yeah.
I smiled when I saw her eager eyes and pouting lips. Now that's irresistible and what human can resist Kim Jisoo? Give me your secrets because now I found myself agreeing to her invitation.
Then that's good enough for me to agree.
