《A Mindful Relationship [Jensoo]》Chapter 13

"How did I get in this situation?"
I mumbled to myself with a sigh after witnessing the scene that has been going on for about an hour by now. Snarky remarks and questions were being fired to one another and glares that could kill were shared with these two bitches arguing in front of me.
And if I tell you that it looked like a scene that came out of a drama, it does. These two got no chill seriously. I mean, all my friends are specifically but let's talk about that after these two calm their tits.
That ain't an easy issue though.
...
Flashback...
I was just chillin' by myself on my usual seat at the café booth where me and the maknaes mostly hang out on as y'all may know from the earlier days.
So back to me minding my own business, just drinking my afternoon coffee and playing some music on my earphones. Nothing could get any better or that's what I though before I was startled at the sudden movement beside me.
I whipped my head onto the direction of the intruder and almost yelled at the person if it wasn't for Lisa smacking her palm on my lips abruptly, knowing what shit was about to go down whenever I get interrupted from my me time.
And then not a second later, the woman who I assume was called Irene, sat in front of the two of us. Looking all fancy with those expensive clothing she's wearing and hell did her nails look expensive as well. She's the entire package.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Lisa spatted at the direction of Irene, feeling really annoyed at the presence of the woman who just sat in front of her.
"Isn't that something rude to say to someone you just met twice?" Irene calmly stated while taking small sips from her iced coffee. She placed it down to the table and sighed, "Kids these days have no more manners."
"Your the one who just casually sat here on our booth, Ms. Bae." Lisa stated with a scoff of disbelief paired with an eye roll, like she was showing how much this woman just irritates the hell out of her. "Who's the rude one?"
"Well then, may I sit here, beautiful?" Irene faced me with sweet smile on her face, gently looking at me with her eyes so cold yet you can feel the warmth from it. Is this something that only their family has?

"W-Well..." I stammered out while taking a glance at Lisa who was giving me a murderous glare as if trying to tell me if I'll agree, I'm gonna get it. But who is she kidding? She's a sweet kid who can't even dare touch a fly. So I simply shrugged it off and agreed. "Sure."
And that's when Manoban's jaw dropped. Her eyes filled with betrayal and irritation. Now she was definitely pissed and I'm all for it. Seeing this kind of Lisa was pretty amusing to watch and considering that she has to get along with Irene if she still wants Jisoo to like her.
"See there, Manoban? She let me sit here." Irene smeiked at the direction of Lisa as if mocking her and well, the maknae just huffed in frustration before placing her head into the back of her hand that was limply laying on the table. I pity the kid but I am not missing out the fun of making Lisa suffer like this. "Now let's get along, shall we?"
"You still didn't answer the question I asked you earlier, you hobbit." Lisa groaned from where she was at the moment, feeling a bit relieved that she somehow ticked Irene because the older girl hit her shin lightly.
"Sooya called me here." Irene replied with a nonchalant shrug. "And I am not a hobbit!"
"Sooya? Jisoo?" I was now the one who asked, butting in the conversation because I was feeling bored anyways.
"That's right."
Cute.
"Anyways, we haven't really introduced each other properly." Irene focused her gaze on me while still wearing that sweet smile of hers. She offered her hand out for a handshake which I directly shook before she smiled and introduced herself even if she really didn't have to. "Irene Bae."
"Jennie Kim."
Surprise was written on her face but only for a second before she smiled at me again although, it was kind of different. "So your Jennie, huh? Lucky to finally place a face on an unknown person."
"What do you mean?"
"Ah... nothing."
...
"Where the fuck is that kid?" Irene muttered to herself while leaning on the glass wall of the café, annoyed at the fact that her cousin was late and that she's already on her fifth coffee cup. Our booth was on the side of the store so that explains the leaning and whatever.
"Seriously..." Lisa groaned, facepalming herself and rubbing her temple to lessen the pain of her head. She said she had a headache because it was hot and she was melting away from her hotness because of waiting too much for Jisoo.

"Didn't you tell me she's always on time?"
"I guess she had some business to take care with." Lisa sighed, lifting her hand and pointing on some direction which me and Irene quickly followed. And when we laid our eyes on where Lisa was pointing at, our jaws dropped rock bottom.
Shit.
"Ah fuck..." Irene cussed, admiring her cousin who was currently locking her car in some business suit and shades. Hair flowing with the wind, covering half of her face which she only blew off. And holy fuck did she look hot, no, she looked like an entire buffet! "Why is my cousin so hot..?"
"Where the hell did she come from that she actually wore a suit?" Lisa asked, looking confused af. And I was with her. Jisoo was wearing something casual at school and now she's wearing this?
"No clue but damn is that girl getting the attention of the crowd." Irene stated. Obviously a bit annoyed at how her cousin was the center of attention when earlier everyone was drooling over her. How funny.
"She really needs to know what she does to the people around her." Lisa mumbled while chuckling a bit. Enjoying the situation.
"Jennie, you alright? Your face is getting closer to be called as tomato head." Irene worriedly patted my face which made my head snap at her direction and that's when I felt that my face was burning.
"R-really? Ah shit. The store seriously has to do some fixing to their air conditioning." I said, taking the top of my shirt and flapping it making some air for me. It was true though that I was hot. Well, isn't that obvious.
"Jen. It's below 0° outside and the air conditioning here is almost at the freezing point. Why the hell are you sweating?" Lisa rolled her eyes as if trying to show me how lame my excuse was.
"Your exaggerating the temperature here, Manoban."
"Anyways, that kid seriously has some nerve getting here late." Irene sighed, looking at the doors of the store where Jisoo had finally entered. Taking her shades off and looking at out direction with a small grin. But she made her way to the counter first to order.
"I think she did it on purpose." Lisa looked at the back figure of Jisoo in pure un-amusement.
"How'd you say that?" Irene asked.
"It's pretty obvious that we don't like each other's presence so..." Lisa pointed to herself then to Irene which the older girl immediately got.
"Right..." Irene nodded her head in agreement if Lisa's statement. "She didn't set the two of us up did she?"
"I'm sorry but I already have someone I like."
"Not that kind of set up, you dumbass!" Irene immediately said, slamming the table a little causing some whispers to erupt in the air. Irene took a sigh and then said, "I have a girlfriend, just so you know."
Not surprising really considering your very hot.
"P-Pardon?" Lisa and Irene were now looking at me in shock which I was confused about but then realization hit me.
"Ah sorry. Did I say it out loud?"
"Get your flirty ass outta the picture here, Jen." Lisa knocked my head a little which I chuckled at. Swatting her hand away from me at the meantime.
"I didn't mean to say it but it's true anyways. Don't you agree?"
"I guess..." Lisa shrugged. "But I'm the hottest, okay?"
"It's up to your imagination."
"Are you saying I'm not?!"
"I didn't disagree but I didn't agree either. There's a difference at that."
"What's taking that bitch so lon-." Irene got cut off when a note was stuck onto her forehead by none other than Jisoo.
"Hey Unnie." Lisa greeted the older girl which Jisoo reciprocated. They did their silly handshake before Jisoo sat beside Irene who didn't look happy of how Jisoo greeted her.
"A pleasant hello to you too, Sooya." Irene glared at her cousin which Jisoo just ignored instead, she waved at me.
"Hi." I greeted with a small wave of mine. "I probably should go now." I was about to stand up when Lisa caught my wrist.
"You can stay you know."
"That's not it. I have some business to attend to actually."
"You should've told us earlier and you could've left earlier."
"It's not that urgent really, I just have to meet a friend of mine."
"And who is this friend that I do not know about exactly?"
"Mind your own damn business, Manoban." I gave her head a small pat and a smile to the other two before making my way to the entrance of the café. "I'm off."
But before I couldn't hear them anymore, I heard Lisa say...
"I'm really curious of who the fuck that friend is."

One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com.
