"Mum I might stay at the retirement home late, okay?" I told Mum and she nodded.
"Take this with you. You've got to eat." My mum walked towards the door where I was and
"It's all for a good cause. We'll be home. Drive safe, love you." Mum smiled at me, before I trailed into my car.
I turned the radio on. Nothing that I thoroughly liked played. Only all the songs that play 24/7.
When arriving at the retirement home, I parked my car outside and walked towards the entrance.
I stopped for a moment, turning around to see a car that looks kind of familiar.
I didn't let it bother me because a lot of people have the same type of cars as others, so I walked into the retirement home and signed in.
"Hey, Harry?" Beatrix - she works at the front desk called me before I made my way upstairs.
"Hello love." I waved.
"Harry could you come here for a moment please?" Beatrix asked me, and I nodded, walking towards the front desk where she was sat.
"Speak away." I smiled.
"Do you mind checking on Ethel for me? She hasn't been feeling well lately.. We've moved her upstairs.. To the one room with the closet.. The closet is the one with soap and towels.. You probably don't care, but please." Beatrix laughed a little.
I became worried. "She's still not feeling well?"
Beatrix nodded sadly. "Yes,"
"Anyways, I'll start heading up there," And so I made my way upstairs.

I took the elevator and I met Vern in there, who started telling me about how him and Alfred had talked about getting old, and how Alfred didn't feel a day over 21.
After saying goodbye to Vern, I made my way down the hall.
Without looking where I was going I bumped into someone.
"Whoa, lad watch where you're-" The boys' voice trailed off. "I'm so sorry Harry."
Zayn.
He helped me up, and I smirked.
"What?" Zayn blushed a little. I don't know why.
"I had no idea you of all people had a heart!!" I laughed sarcastically.
Zayn shot me a flat look. "Shut up Harry."
I shook my head, still laughing.
This was absolutely golden. Zayn Malik volunteering at a retirement home?!
"This is great." I chuckled.
"Harry stop." Zayn spoke, grabbing a couple of towels from the closet, and making his way past me.
"No wait," These were some words I had never thought I'd ever say to Zayn of all people.

I turned around, huffing.
Harry looked so gosh darn cute.
"What." I forced.
Harry shrugged. "Maybe we can bump into each other more often."
I rolled my eyes, turning back around and making my way downstairs to Loretta's room.
"Don't tell anyone." I shout back down the hall, making sure harry heard.
"Okay." Harry called back, walking his separate way after that.
I did want to bump into him again.
Was that bad?
After giving Loretta her towels, I went to Ethel's room downstairs.
"Ethel? Are you in there?" I asked, opening the door to see an empty bedroom. What?
"Honey, she's upstairs." I turned around to see Irma leaving her room which was right across the hall from Ethel's.

"Where upstairs?" I didn't mean to sound stupid.
"The room by the closet." Irma smiled, walking slowly to the lounge room upstairs.
Okay. I ran to the elevator and when the elevator let me off at the top floor, I ran towards the one room upstairs.
Ethel's.
"Ethel? Love are you in here?" I asked, and then opened the door.
Sat beside Ethel's bed was Harry.
Not again.
"Hi Zayn." Harry waved.
I forced a smile. "Hi,"
Ethel sat up, slowly. "So you two know each other?"
I nodded, annoyed. "Yep."
Harry smiled too. "We know each other. He goes to my school."
Harry stop. "Yes, we go to the same school." I bit my lip, really hard.
"So you two do!!" Ethel grinned, pressing the button that moved the head of her bed up on a slant so she could sit up, leaning against the blankets and mattress.
"Yes love. We do." Harry chuckled.
When will the day Harry calls me 'love' come?
I've got to stop.

Delve
Truth hides behind action. Delve. A word with many meanings. It may refer to an abyss, a dark place of no return or may also be a refuge, a haven of retreat from the harshness of the outside. None of those are right to me. For me, to delve is to seek the truth. Delving into that dark abyss and coming back with answers. To leave that safe refuge and suffer the pain of the outside just because it is real. This is the story of me delving deep into the truths of the universe. Suffering things that should not be suffered in search of things that should not be known. Once a common man, drowned in the same questions that have plagued humanity since the beginning of times, now I have found my answers. Now I have meaning. Delve, and you shall have yours as well. Jack is a regular citizen of modern society: he works on an office, uses public transport every day, receives a meager salary, and drowns his frustrations with entertainment and alcohol. Maybe, the only thing that sets him apart from many others, is his unique outlook on life. All in order to prove his life-goal point: no matter how good you are, life is still shit. This point-of-view, however, will be challenged by circumstances as a mysterious encounter with a weirdly dressed man takes him to a strange and dark cave. In this place, he will have to fight for his life against fantastical creatures from fiction, and more importantly, get face to face with his own nature. In doing so, he will uncover secrets about the cave that will change both him and all he ever thought to be true.
