《Finding them》Chapter 24

Dakota was still laying on the lounge and Darcy refused to move away from him. She glared at anyone going near her brother. It was now her turn to protect her Kota cause he couldn't protect them. Bill tried to talk to his niece but she didn't budge at all. No one had ever seen this side of Darcy at all and to them all it was strange. Usually she was the innocent one while Dakota was the protector.
"Hey Darcy, you really need to eat something sweetheart, Dakota wouldn't want you not to eat" Hunter tried to coax her away from her twin and to eat but it wasn't working. Darcy shook her head no and crossed her little arms over her chest standing protectively in front of a sleeping Dakota. Daniel needed to take Dakota's temperate to make sure it was coming down but it was a struggle to get anywhere near him with Darcy protecting him.
"Here Darcy is it? I have a present for you. Would you like to open it?" Bill spoke softly trying to help his brother get to his youngest son. Darcy peeked at the present, she liked presents but she needed to protect her brother. "No one will go near Dakota if you want to open this" Bill coaxed. Darcy looked at everyone but Daniel spoke up, he didn't want to lie to his daughter, "princess, I need to check on Dakota, I promise I won't take him or hurt him if you want to open the present" Daniel assured his daughter who was now glaring daggers at the man who promised no one would go near Kota. "Oh my god, that's the look Dakota gets when protecting Darcy. She is a mini Dakota" Eddie gushed out seeing the death stare Darcy was giving Bill.

"Princess would you like to help me to take Dakota's temperature?" Daniel asked his daughter getting desperate to try and find out how Dakota was doing. Darcy nodded her head slightly causing Mitchell to chuckle. Darcy glared at him "she is so much like Dakota it's not funny" Jamie added earning him a glare too. "I declare that the twin glare" Hunter laughed out earning him a glare too. Daniel slowly approached the twins and showed Darcy how to take Dakota's temperate by rubbing the thermometer over his forehead while pushing the button. Once it beeped Daniel looked to see the temperate was 37.4C which meant Dakota was still a little warm but didn't have an extremely high temperate. He also felt his forehead and he wasn't as hot at the moment which assured Daniel he was just suffering from some virus.
Darcy wanted to check everyone's temperate after that so they each had to sit in front of her so she could take there temperatures and she declared every one was fine expect for Dakota. She still didn't let anyone but Daniel near her brother though. She was going to protect him at all costs even if she started to get a little warm too. "Cc hot, drink" she whispered to her dad as he was checking on Dakota again.
Daniel quickly ran to the kitchen grabbing the Panadol and some water for Darcy sitting down in front of her. Darcy began to sneeze and her eyes were very watery. "Darcy come sit down, I need to take your temperate princess" Daniel stated but all Darcy did was rub her eyes and shake her head no. "Come on princess I don't think you feel very good" Daniel tried to coax her but she was stubborn and fierce when she wanted to be. Eddie walked over going to grab his sister because clearly she wasn't well either but she bit his hand.

Eddie screamed not expecting Darcy to bite him which startled Dakota who began to cry. He never usually cried but he didn't feel good. Darcy ran to her brother pulling his head onto her lap and running her hands through Dakota's hair to calm him down. "She bit me" Eddie told them all while rubbing his hand. Darcy glared at Eddie she didn't want him coming any where near them. "No touch" Darcy told Eddie who nodded his head. Clearly the family didn't know the twins that well because Darcy had never lashed out at anyone like that before.
Daniel sat next to Darcy, "hey princess, I need to take your temperature please" Daniel spoke quietly. Darcy rubbed the snot from her nose on her arm and shook her head no. "Get me some tissues and wipes please" Daniel asked Hunter who nodded his head. "Princess you are sick and it's my job to help make you feel better. Please let me take your temperature so I can help you" Daniel coaxed. Darcy glared but nodded slightly before sneezing several times making Dakota jump in his sleep. Daniel quickly wiped Darcy's nose and arm before taking her temperate which was 37.9C. "Right little princess, you need to have some medicine and then into bed with Dakota. Seems you both have caught a cold" Daniel told his daughter who shook her head no again. She needed to stay awake and alert so no one hurt Kota.
Mitchell stepped forward crouching in front of Darcy but didn't make a move to touch her. "Would you like me to watch both of you? You take your medicine and lay with Dakota and I'll stay right here so no one can come near you ok?" Mitchell asked his sister who seemed to be thinking about it. She went to answer and sneezed again which seemed to hurt because she cried after sneezing. Daniel quickly wiped her nose and pulled her towards him. Darcy grabbed her ear and buried her head in Daniel's chest. She had a sore ear again.
Daniel managed to get Darcy to take some Panadol and then got her to sleep on his chest. Daniel asked Jamie to call there doctor to see if he could see the twins. With everything that had happened he had forgotten to do a follow up with the doctor and now Darcy seemed to be in pain again with her ears. Jamie made the call and the doctor would see them today at 4pm at there house so they had a couple of hours to kill as it was only 2pm.
"Sorry Bill, this didn't go as planned" Daniel told his brother who just nodded and smiled. "It's fine, kids get sick" Bill assured his brother. "Let's try again next weekend, how about a bbq at my place? I'll even put the dogs away" Bill told his brother. "Sounds like a plan although they like dogs" Daniel replied. "See you Saturday at 11 and no mum and dad" Bill told his brother who smiled and nodded at him. "Take care Bill" Daniel called out to his brother as Bill took off not having spent any time with his niece and nephew.

Eater of Spirits
Story is abandoned. There will be no more updates on it. Jarod is kind of a loser, as it goes with these stories. A tear in his reality pulls him into another world, where he gains the ability to devour spirits, the locus of magic within the world. This is far from my first foray into fiction, but it is my first time posting anything to royal road, and first time writing LitRPG. This is an exercise in putting things out there, and just writing. That means that all of this is going to be a first draft, where edits may come sparsely if there is a glaring issue or something I think should be better. Thanks for reading!

A Simple Bar In The Multiverse
I'm Lucas, 30 years old and single. I went to drink with some friends that day and when I was walking home, I found some weird glowing door on a wall on which I've never seen anything before. I'm a bit ashamed to say that I instantly tried to open it. Behind it was that weird silver light which I also touched with my bare hand. Don't judge me! I was very drunk. It has nothing to do with my intelligence... Anyway, I seemed to have been transported in a magical room and an invisible female entity has just just given me an offer: Turn this bar into the best bar in the universe where you'll work forever. In exchange I would get great powers with great responsab... Wait! That's spiderman. Anyway, great powers and unlimited lifespan. I think I'll say yes... Follow the story of Lucas, the manager of the Simple Bar, while he turns this seemingly innocuous bar into one that becomes known in the entire Multiverse. Or at least in a big part of it. I mean, the Multiverse is virtually infinite, so... A part of the story will take place in the Divine Realm of the Wanderer's Realms from my first novel 'The Life of a Goddess and a Fox in the Cultivation World '. I will post 1 chapter every week at 7 p.m. EST on Saturday.

Grim Beginnings
For most, ghosts and monsters were fantasy. For Tessa Byrne-Reyes, they were a constant in her daily life as a reaper. The legendary gods and creatures of mythology were, to her, historical figures. From a young age, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, possessing what she saw as a curse but what her family considered a gift. It was her birthright, to use her abilities to guide the deceased to the afterlife of an eternity in peace or in torment. Her classmates viewed her as "the fainting girl" who would pass out in the middle of a lesson with inexplicable injuries. She experienced each death in the town of Belmont Falls, from the mundane to the gruesome. A gunshot wound in the gut, broken ribs, her heart ceasing to beat for several minutes. No one understood what caused these incidents but over the years, she gained a reputation for being abnormal. While Tessa is the freak of Belmont Falls, Fin Belmont, the charming rebel and son of the richest man in town, is her polar opposite. Knowing each other for years but never saying more than a dozen words between them, one night changes everything, thrusting them into each other's unfamiliar and daunting worlds. Together, with the help of her best friend/his ex-girlfriend Elena, they begin to unravel secrets about their town and their pasts, learning that some secrets are better left buried and grudges can be held for centuries.
