《Finding them》Chapter 9

Mitchell and Daniel grabbed everything from the plane. They along with everyone else on the flight couldn't wait to get off. The twins slept for 8 hours but then Darcy cried the last four hours straight of the flight even with paracetamol. At first she was quietly crying but it got louder and louder and nothing could comfort her. She screamed blue murder when she was strapped into the seat for landing. One woman started to abuse Daniel for the noise which only caused Darcy to cry louder. Dakota as soon as he was unstrapped from his seat ran and kicked the woman in the shins for scaring Darcy. Mitchell had to stop himself laughing because he wanted to do the same thing to be honest.
As they made there way to customs, the flight crew had organised for them to be driven and rushed through. Mitchell held onto Dakota and Darcy was burying her head into her father neck as it was noisy. When it came time for customs to check the passports Daniel struggled to get Darcy to look at the guy. When the guy saw her face he realised that she had been sobbing for hours. "Bad flight?" The guy asked Daniel who just nodded his head. He just didn't know how to comfort Darcy at all, he didn't know if she was in pain or scared and he felt useless. The guy quickly cleared them and nodded towards Mitchell before the family went to baggage claim grabbing the pram and loading the twins into the pram. The family was lead straight through bio security and headed to the taxi rank to head home as they still had no car seats for the twins.
As they pulled up to the house the twins had calmed down. Clearly neither of them liked to fly which would not be an issue because Daniel didn't plan on flying anywhere for the rest of the year. In fact he would be stepping back to spend his time with the twins and allowing Mitchell to run things unless there was something major that occurred. The cab driver helped to get the pram and bags out as Daniel paid the guy before picking up Darcy. She didn't want to be carried though and neither did Dakota they wanted to walk. Daniel held onto Darcy's hand while carrying the double pram. Mitchell had dumped the bags on the verandah and came back to help with the twins but they had been still long enough and wanted to walk. In the week with Daniel they got use to being able to be a little normal, playing and walking and chatting away.

As they got to the door Daniel put the pram down and open the front door. Dakota poked his head through the door and cautiously continued forward behind his father. Darcy was more reluctant and looked at Mitchell who smiled and nodded at her. The squeak of the slippers could be heard by the other boys so they made there way quickly to the entry of the house. Jamie, Hunter and Eddie were excited to finally meet the twins and couldn't wait to cuddle them like they had seen in the photos with Mitchell and there father. Daniel had told them a little but not everything as the twins had come so far in that time.
As Dakota saw the other people he glared at them all. Dakota stopped in his tracks and put himself in front of Darcy. Yes they had seen these people on the screen but he didn't know them. "Oh my gosh look at how cute that face is" Jamie gushed as Dakota glared. Mitchell chuckled at the sight while Darcy held Ellie up over her face peeking out at the other people. Eddie walked over attempting the say hello. He reached his hand out to Darcy and got it slapped by Dakota. Darcy stepped a little back after that she was worried the person was going to hit her. "Hey Darcy and Dakota these are your brothers. That is Eddie, the one over there is Hunter and that's Jamie" Daniel told the twins. Dakota didn't stop glaring at them all. He didn't trust people easily.
Hunter approached Darcy and went to take the elephant teddy so he could see her face. As he reach for the elephant he earned a kick in the shins from Dakota "no touch" Dakota told him causing Eddie and Jamie to laugh at a shocked Hunter. "Dakota we don't kick people" Hunter told him but Dakota held his glare and repeated "no touch CC". "Ok I won't touch Cc gosh" Hunter replied. "Mine Cc you Darcy" Dakota stated while pouting. "Ah yes Dakota and Darcy have nick names for each other and we can't use them. Dakota is very protective of his sister and not afraid to lash out" Mitchell told his brothers, amused at there faces.

Darcy spotted the stairs and assumed it was like the stairs at the park so head over and started to crawl up the stairs to look for the slide. Jamie spotted his sister who was now on the 4th step and rushed over picking up Darcy before Daniel and Mitchell could warn him. Darcy went floppy in his arms and Jamie was panicked "dad do something what's happening?" Jamie rushed out. Dakota was quickly beside Jamie punching his legs to get Darcy. "Put her down" Daniel told his son, Hunter and Eddie were beside Jamie with Hunter trying to get Dakota to stop hitting and screaming at Jamie.
Jamie laid Darcy on the ground while Mitchell was trying to comfort Dakota "they won't hurt her bud, its ok" Mitchell spoke calmly to Dakota. Once Darcy was laid on the floor Dakota kicked Jamie one last time and rushed to Darcy holding her face in his little hands. Darcy opened one eye and peeked at Dakota "I did good?" Darcy asked. Dakota nodded his head and Darcy opened her eyes and quickly Dakota embraced his sister. "What the hell was that?" Hunter asked. "The twins don't like being touched by people they don't trust. Dakota taught his sister to go floppy if someone touches her to protect her. I'm sorry I should of told you all" Daniel stated getting upset with himself for not explaining more to his older children. "But you guys can hold them" Eddie replied. "Not at first but now we can when the twins want us too. It's usually when they are tired or want comfort" Mitchell replied. "You ok princess?" Daniel asked his daughter. "Yes addy" she replied. "Addy?" Jamie asked. "Yes, I'm addy, that's big Kota or Mitty" Daniel replied with a smile and the twins smiled at him because they felt safe with him. "Kota and Cc hungry" Dakota spoke up once he had finished glaring at everyone and checking Darcy wasn't hurt. "Let's eat then" Daniel told his children taking them into the dining room.
