I don't get it.

Why does lily make these sounds it's hard enough to control myself.

I respect her, but I don't know how much more I can take.

Now that I marked her I want to mate with her even more.

She's all I think about it's driving me insane.

I look at lily and without breaking eye contact I lower my face so I could kiss her.

Right when I was going to make contact I hear a knock on my door.

I ignore it and start kissing Lily.

The knocking just kept getting louder.

That Old man better have a good explanation for interrupting me and Lily.

I break the kiss and went down stairs holding lily hand.

"What!" I say as I open the door to find my Father standing there with pure rage showing on his face.

"Don't talk to me like that you FOOL! Have you forgotten your pack! Have you forgotten your responsibilities?"

I just stand there hearing it all.

I know I haven't talked to one single pack member in a long time now.

"We can't even connect with you your mind has been completely shut off to us! Adrian have your forgotten about the battle? We were attacked and we haven't gotten close to them!" He tells his wolf almost coming out.

If I wasn't his son I would be kneeling from his voice. He really does have a powerful voice I've seen people cry when they got scolded by him.

Shit Lily!

I look down seeing Lily trembling beside me.

"Calm down you're scaring her!" I yell back caring more for Lily than my dad words.

"My apologies, but you have to understand Adrian we have people to contact tomorrow morning you're coming with me for a trip ok and I want you at the front of the pack house at 5 am sharp and if you're late you'll get something else coming at you ok!"

I nodded wanting him to leave so I could comfort Lily.

I look up at him one more time before closing the door.

A trip huh?

Most likely I won't be able to take lily.

I sigh picking up lily hugging her.

I have to go even though I don't want to.

"Lily lets go pack again just get clothes enough to last you a week alright." I say looking at her beautiful blue eyes that showed worry.

I'm not staying there longer than a week I at least have to see her once.

I carried her back to our room and took out 2 luggages.

I packed my Business clothes and everything I would be needing.

Once we both finish it was really late and we just passed out.

"Adrian wake up its 4am." I feel Lily shaking me.

"Thanks." I say getting up and going to the bathroom to get ready.

Once I was finished with everything and lily as well I carried everything out and placed it in my car.

During the ride Lily and I talked about what is going to happen.

"Ok lily you will stay with my mom for a while I wish I could take you but most likely I won't be able to." I say looking ahead gripping the steering wheel.

I hate this so much.

I finally get to mark her and now I have to leave her.

The universe must really hate me.

I know Lily is alright with staying with my mom but I want her to be with me.

"Adrian I'm going to be fine ok don't worry about me."

I glance at her she really doesn't seemed to bothered about me leaving her.

Oh maybe she just doesn't want to be a burden to me.

I sighed once we reach to the pack house.

A couple of pack members were there including my dad, mom, and Jake.

"Hey Adrian missed you bro." Jake says as I get out of the car.

I nod at him and at my parents.

I love my pack but I want to be with Lily and all of this interference isn't helping me at all.

I stand in front of my father and I look at him right in the eye standing straight and tall.

"Jesus Adrian you haven't changed I was thinking that Lily made you softer." He chuckled.

"Dad I'm here so what's this about?" I say ignoring his comment.

"Ahh straight to the point we are leaving right now to see Alpha Parker."

Alpha Parker?

What why?

"I know we don't have a good connection with them but they can help us." I listen to my dad understanding his words.

"Right, but if they don't help us then what?" I question him.

He sighs,"Then we go to desperate Measures."

Desperate measures?

"Ha no I'm sorry but I'm not going to beg for help. Either way can't we just go to a new pack one we actually like?"

"Look Adrian I'm not going to argue I don't want to beg, but the thing is that he's the only one I'm missing and his pack was just recently attacked by rouges and I believe it's all connected."

I see now so we would have a better chance to get help by them because we could help them as well.

"Alright."

I turn around and walk inside the house where Lily is with my mom.

I walk behind lily and wrap my arms around her.

"Bye Beautiful..I love you." I whispered to her.

I walked away right after seeing her red face smiling.

Yep that's the first time I said it to her.

This is going to be a pain this entire week for me.

"Hey! Wait up! Adrian!" I hear Jake voice behind me.

I turn around and saw him all packed up.

"You're going too?" I already knew he was going because he's my Beta.

I'm just messing with him because I haven't in a long time and I miss it.

"Whaaat! You already forgot about me your best friend you hurt me man." He says sarcastically as he places his hand over his chest.

"Come on let's hurry we don't want that old man to come running over here." I chuckled.

"Ha right and by the way you alright with leaving Lily right after you marked her?"

His words pierced right through me.

Of course I'm not alright with leaving her right after I didn't wish for this.

"Ahh I hit something didn't I."Jake says apologetic.

"It sucks for sure but this trip won't last long hopefully."

"Come on race you."

I laughed as he started to run.

He hasn't changed.

I ran not caring about my suit.

It was a bit hard to run in them but I ended up beating him.

"How do you run so fast?" He says out of breath.

I just shrug.

"Hurry up get it we don't have all day!" I hear my dad yell and we looked at each other and started laughing.

My dad would always yell at us when we were little kids.

Jake and I loved to play outside and explore the forest, and because of that we got lost a lot of times and hurt.

Flashback

"Adrian I don't think we should be here.."

"Don't be a wimp Jake we are just going to explore. Either way I'm bored and I don't want to think of my responsibilities right now." My ten year old self said reassuring his friend.

"Are you not scared? We could get hurt lets go back." Jake nervously said watching his steps.

"Me scared NEVER! Come on it'll be fun don't you want to run freely without anyone telling you not to do something."

I see Jake nod and that's when I got him on my side.

"Jake uhh wait here will you." I say as I go behind a tree to pee.

There were so many plants around and I kept seeing this same plant.

I know I've seen it before in a book when my mom was teaching me about dangers.

I ignore it and go back to Jake.

I see him crouching down looking at the same plant.

"Hey I remember this plant from somewhere but where?"

I see him touch it and that's when I remember it's poison Ivy.

"Jake don't touch it! It's poison Ivy!" I yell but it was too late.

I saw that the same plant was everywhere and I was positive we both touched it.

"You know what lets go home." I say walking away from the plants.

I didn't know where I was so I walked in a straight line.

I look behind me and see Jake scratching himself.

"Don't scratch ok promise you won't scratch!" I yelled panicking because I couldn't remember what my mom said.

I see him nod and after 30 minutes of walking I see the pack house and I jumped finally we are here.

I look behind me to see a disheveled Red Jake.

"Jake are you ok?." I said as I ran up to him grabbing him right before he fell.

I put him on my back and ran home.

Once I got home I started yelling "Help someone call the doctor."

I placed Jake down and my mom started running towards me.

"Adrian what happened?"

That's when I started crying "We were playing in the forest and came across Poison ivy Mom I'm scared is he going to be ok?"

"Yes it's going to be ok I already got someone to call the doctor he should be here and second now."

"Ok.."

I wouldn't leave his side when we were both getting treated.

I'm the end it was ok we both got scolded and got a long lecture about strange plants, but we also had great memories as a kid.
