My bestfriend, Wrynn, pouted as I load my last luggage into Gavin's car.
I sigh and give open my arms for a hug that she takes immediately. She squeezes me tightly that I have too tap her back for her to let go.
"I don't have a choice, I'll come back as soon as possible" I say, giving her a casual shrug.
She pouts again, "You're going to New York, that's the other side of the country Treya!"
I throw her a small smile, "Just for a little while"
"Treya, are you all set?" Gavin shut the front door before locking it. He wasn't gonna come with me to New York, I told him not to since it might be dangerous and I don't wanna risk it.
I nodded before giving Wrynn one last side hug, "Let's go" Gavin pats Wrynn's shoulder before he entered the driver's seat and I entered the passenger's seat right beside him. I wave at Wrynn before Gavin drove off to the airport.
//
"You've got everything? Checked in all of your baggages?" Gavin asked, handing me an extra wallet. I gladly accepted, and checked the wallet to see that it was mostly gold coins?
"What are these?" I asked him, although I saw couple of American bills, I didn't know what the rest were. Maybe they were chocolate coins.
"They're called drachmas, I've exchanged some of the cash into those just in case you need it. Also, that wallet is only for emergencies, don't use the credit card unless you really need to. Okay?"
I nod at him, slightly happy that he placed one of his credit cards inside. I've heard New York has great pizza, it'll be great to stuff my belly with it.

"Kimberly will meet you at the airport, take care of yourself Treya. Try not to get killed" He gives me a hug before pushing me lightly towards the boarding gate.
"Calling all passengers for Flight 5J 547 bound for New York, you may now board the plane"
I drag myself to the plane, with my boarding pass on my hand and a handbag on the other. Kaya and Gavin said it was a little too late for me to start training as a demigod but I was only sixteen, there should be new campers as old as me right?
Well, it was time to change my life. The life I've avoided for a short while.
Luckily for me, my seatmates during the flight were a nice couple. Unluckily for me, I was in between them.
"My name's Hazel and this is my boyfriend Frank" The girl to my right introduced herself, giving me a warm smile which I gave back.
I smiled at her boyfriend as well who seemed as nice as his girlfriend. I took my hand out for her to shake, "Hi, I'm Treya. I guess I'll be your seatmate the entire plane ride"
She took my hand and shook it, "Nice to meet you, first time to New York?"
I nodded, "My first time flying actually and yeah, it's my first time to New York. Are you guys from there?"
She grinned a little, "Nope. We're from here. Just visiting some friends and family"
"Hazel, can you keep this with you for a while?" I turn to her boyfriend who handed her a huge bow and a pack of arrows.
My eyes widened, weren't weapons banned here?
Hazel nervously laughed before throwing Frank a short glare and accepting the weapon.
"Nice pen huh?" Hazel chuckled, putting the weapon right beside her.

My eyes were still wide, and I was shocked and confused. "What do you mean? That's a bow and some arrows?"
Hazel hissed under her breath, "The mist doesn't work on her?"
Somehow, Frank also heard her short mutterings, and I wanted to stand and take another seat because these people could be dangerous and I don't want this goddess mother of mine to find out I've been kidnapped and taken for livestock.
"She has The Sight?" Frank whispered
Hazel nodded, looking at his boyfriend worriedly "She does, what do we do?"
Frank threw the same look back at his girlfriend "Should we call Percy and ask what to do?"
"No, no we can handle her" Hazel answered
"But what do we do?! She saw everything!" Frank whispered loudly, I purse my lips and look at the both of them, cutting them off.
I cleared my throat, "And she is right here, what did you guys say, the sight? What kind of dark organisation are you guys part of?"
"O-oh, we're not bad people" Frank defended, throwing his hands up on the air.
I press my lips together, still wary of them "That's what they all say"
"Since you have The Sight, I think it'll be fine to tell you" Hazel decided, but Frank was against her sudden idea of telling me whatever secret.
Frank reached out for his girlfriend's arm, as much as I wanted to know, the situation itself was very awkward, I didn't know what to do, I was in between a couple for goodness sake!
"Are you sure? We might get in trouble if we ended up telling a mort—"
"Good afternoon, this is your pilot speaking, we will land shortly so please buckle your seatbelts and make sure you stay seated until we have landed safely"
I had to intervene, "Um, as long as I'm not harmed, I won't tell that you guys have weapons. I know how to keep a secret or two"
I smiled at them nervously as they eyes each other, as if talking in their minds with weird telepathy. All of the sudden, they nodded at each other and nodded at me.
"Alright then" Hazel stated, giving me a small smile that I awkwardly returned.
The rest of the ride was silent for we were already in New York so soon, I'd be free of these chains and be free from this weird couple who brought weapons as hand carry? And speaks some weird language or maybe just slang.
I went out of the airport with my luggages in the cart, looking out for Kimberly, the nicer empousa, out here in New York, supposedly waiting for me.
I see a pair of hands wave at me, I squinted my eyes to see Kimberly waving at me, a pair of sunglasses on her hand matching with her wave.
I walked up to her with a smile on my face, "Hey Kimberly, it's been a while" I greeted her. She smiled at me before giving me a short hug.
"It certainly has, come on, I gotta take you to camp before sundown"

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."

Berries, Boars, and a Boy (A How to Train Your Dragon Fanfiction) (Snotlout/OC)
"In a lot of ways, Snotlout is very much Spitelout's son," said Freda. Torben did not need to see her face to hear in her voice that she wanted to say more. "One can hardly help but notice," he said when she didn't immediately continue. "But," she added hesitantly. "In more subtle and quiet ways he is much more my son." Torben turned his face toward the sun, the heat of it warming his skin though his world remained dark. "Even without my sight I could see that. Why else do you think I would encourage and allow his frequent visits here." --- He was brash, cocky, and way too self-confident for it to be real but he had gotten her out of the tree. She was older than him, taller than him, and had an annoying habit of seeing through his bluffs but she had stitched him up. What happens when Sigyn and Snotlout strike up an unusual friendship? And what happens when Snotlout goes away to The Edge with the other Dragon Riders and she stays behind? Will their friendship remain intact, fade away, or possibly change into something neither was expecting? Just see if I don't make a Snotlout fan of you by the end. Story told from both Sigyn and Snotlout's POV.

Unknown Fate's End
The ancient's believed that a man's fate or destiny is written already, and that only God or maybe the Gods could change it. If they did change it, it was believed it was for a purpose unknown to that man or for maybe for the ammusement of those higher beings. However, whether that is true or not, one thing is for certain. Changing a man's fate will create a ripple of changes. Join our hero, who whether by luck, by some divine intervention, or by his own choice, separated from the fate that he shared with his fellow earthlings. Watch him struggle in his new world. Watch him grow. Watch him learn. Watch him walk a path oustside what destiny has for him. FYI: The magic concept in this story is high fantasy with involvement of polytheistic religions and demons. There will be a mix of GameLit style writing mixed with traditional magic novel style writing. The plot developement will be slow in the first volume, as I will focus on world building and character building. The main character will not be OP immediately and will develop into one in his own way over time. This series is built less like modern Japanese, Korean, and Chinese webnovels and more like the old school fanstasy novels like DND and Forgotten Realms.
