I leaned sideways against Nico's shoulder as we sat on his couch with our feet propped up on the small coffee table in front of us.

We were watching some old episodes of Hey Arnold, aka one of the greatest 90's cartoons to ever exist.

He laced his fingers with mine and rested his head against the top of my head.

I smiled to myself and continued to watch the tv.

I felt his body rumble with laughter at one of the scenes of the show, which made my smile grow even wider.

Suddenly, I asked him what had been on my mind for the past few days.

"What are we?"

Nico looked down at me and smiled lightly and replied with a simple, "Whatever you want to be."

"I want to be yours," I said with sudden confidence.

Nico wrapped his arm around me and brought me closer. He placed a kiss on my forehead and whispered,

"You always were."
