《Nico di Angelo x Reader Oneshots》43: Pokèmon Go

Dedicated to the new Pokèmon Go game that has taken over my life. -latersatyr
Staring at my monster-proof cellphone, I maneuvered myself in real life in order for my avatar to turn toward the nearest Pokèstop.
As I made my way toward the Pokèstop, which in real life was the climbing wall, I spotted a Koffing pokèmon. I expertly caught it automatically from my screen and continued.
I continued along through the camp, searching through my phone screen for any rare pokèmon.
Just as I saw a fully evolved Venosaur, I crashed into someone. My phone dropped and so did theirs. I snatched my phone up, and in the process, I saw what on their screen. Pokèmon Go.
I looked up at them and realized 'them' was really Nico di Angelo, son of Hades.
I'd seen him around camp, but never really thought he'd be into nerdy stuff like I am.
"Nico? You play?" I asked, surprised.
He blushed, "Yeah," he replied, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, "Lame, I know."
"No, it's totally cool. See? I play too," I said, showing him my phone screen.
His face lit up. "Really? Wow, you're level 15 already? I just started. Level 5," he elaborated.
"Wanna look for some Pokèmon together?" I asked nervously, fearing he'd say no.
"Sure, I caught Evee right before you crashed into me," he laughed.
I smiled at him and we walked around camp finding Rattatas, Bulbasaurs, and even some fully evolved Pigedots.
"Urg," Nico let out a frustrated noise.
"Hm?"
"This one guy that I'm battling is just too good. They keep beating me."
"What's their username?" I asked.
"Latersatyr."
"Ohhh, yeah. They're undefeated," I explained, "Believe me, I've tried."
By the time the horn sounded for dinner, we had ended up in the forest, near the creek.
Nico smiled at me, "Thanks for getting me to level 9, (Y/n)."
"No problem, let's do this again sometime, yeah?"
He nodded, "Definitely."
Just as he was about to walk away, I called out to him, "Hey Nico?"
"Yeah?"
"I choose you."
"Awwe," he chuckled. "I-"
I interrupted him by throwing a plastic Pokèball at him. It landed on his head with a 'thunk.'
