Chapter 1

No one's POV

Adrien's father has called for him to go to his office. When he gets in he sees something he didn't think he would see. Chloe and her father, the mayor of Pairs. Chloe was sitting in one of the chairs in front of Gabriel's desk. Her father was standing beside her.

"Adrien, sit down. We have something we have to talk about." Gabriel orders. Adrien nods then sits down beside Chloe. "You know Chloe. You guys have been friends for a while now. Her father and have thought about this for a while now. If our families joined together it would benefit us. So Mr. Bourgeois and I have decided for you two to date." Gabriel explains. Adrien's eyes widen and his jaw drops.

"Father you can't be serious!" Adrien stares at him in disbelief.

"I think its a lovely idea, Adrien-kins." Chloe hooks her left arm around his right arm.

"My decision is final. You two will start dating tomorrow. No ifs, no buts. Unless you're already dating someone, you will date Chloe. Now go. Nathalie will make time in you're schedule for you're dates." Adrien gets up, still having Chloe hanging onto his arm. Before he can open the door out his father stops him. "And Adrien, you are not allowed to tell people that this was planned for you two to be boyfriend and girlfriend. You are to say that you asked her out and now you two are dating." He implied. Adrien looked over his shoulder and nodded.

He opened the door and went to his room. "I can't stand that girl, now I have to be with her more and smell her gross perfume." Plagg makes a fake gagging noise.

"What am I going to do? I'm in love with my lady, not Chloe." Adrien groans and falls face first on his bed.

"That's Chat Noir, not you. Adrien is dating Chloe, Chat Noir, on the other hand, is not. He is in love with Ladybug. That means Chat Noir can date whoever he wants. Chloe doesn't know you are Chat Noir. She'll have no idea that you are going after another girl while dating her." Plagg replied as he ate some of his cheese.

"But that's cheating. I can't do that to Chloe." Adrien implied.

"Ah, ah. Chat isn't dating Chloe, Adrien is. That's not cheating. Chat Noir can do whatever he wants."

"I don't know Plagg. Maybe I could but, if LB and I were to ever tell who we are in real life I would have to tell her I'm dating someone. She'll hate me. Then I'll have no chance with her." Adrien mutters. His head jerks up as he thought of something. "I could be a horrible boyfriend, making her tell her father that she wants to break up."

"Sure. Then you could go for one of you're girlfriends." Adrien looks at him, confused. "You know who I mean. There's Ladybug and then there's Marinette. Your lady or your princess." Plagg eats the last of his cheese on his plate.

"I-I don't like Marinette that way. We're friends. My lady is the only one for me!" Adrien blushes a light pink.

"Whatever lover boy. I'm going to bed." Plagg flies over to the left pillow on Adrien's bed and falls asleep. Adrien groans at his Kwami then goes to bed too.

Marinette POV

"Marinette. It's time to wake up. You're going to be late for school." Tikki pulls on the raven haired girl's hair, trying to wake her up. Marinette opens her eyes and looks at the time.

"Oh no. I'm going to be late!" Marinette shouts and jumps off the ladder half way down and runs to her dresser. She grabs her normal clothes and runs to the bathroom to change. She runs out with one pigtail done and the other one being brushed into one. She grabs her bag and Tikki flies into it before Marinette could close the trap door. She runs downstairs and grabs her lunch and a croissant for breakfast. She kisses her mother and father on the cheek and runs out the door.

When she gets to school she sees a group of her classmates by the front door. She sees Alya and Nino in the group. "Alya! Nino! Hey!" Marinette shouts to them only to get Alya running towards her. She grabs Marinette's arm and drags her to the class from the back way in. "Alya. What are you doing?"

"Sorry girl but, I didn't want you to see that. I thought It would be better if I told you first." Alya explains. Marinette gives her a questionable look. "Look. You're not going to like this but, it's better to hear it from me than seeing it. Okay?" Marinette nods. "Adrien came to school today with Chloe and it turns out that they started to date." Marinette's eyes widen and her mouth parts a little. Her whole world just crashed down, smashing into a million pieces. Marinette wanted to cry but, she reminded herself that she was Ladybug. She couldn't cry over a loss of a crush but, when she got into class and she saw Chloe clinging all over Adrien, she wanted to cry.

She wanted to run and find a place to cry. Marinette watched Chloe kiss him on the lips and cling to him. She made her way to he seat with a big frown on her face. She blinked to make sure the tears wouldn't fall. When Alya put her hand on Marinette's shoulder from time to time, Marinette would give her a fake smile. She didn't want her friend to worry about her. Marinette went to her designs and drew some new ones so she wouldn't have to look at Adrien and Chloe. All Marinette wanted was to go home to her room and never come out. To stay there for the rest of her life and cry. She thought maybe this was God's way of telling her to get over her crush on Adrien. She really wanted this day to be over but, she knew it was going to be a long day.

Adrien POV

Adrien couldn't stop looking at the sad raven girl. Even with Chloe clinging on him, he couldn't get that sad looking girl out of his mind. When he got home he had piano lessons and a few photo shoots. He got yelled at a couple of times thanks to the frown he got when he thought of Marinette today.

"Plagg, what do I do? She seemed so sad today. She wouldn't even look at me. Do I do something to Marinette? Nino and Alya wouldn't tell me what was wrong with her." Adrien questioned. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. It made his heart drop when he saw her frown.

"I don't know. Do something to figure it out. Do something Chat Noir-like. It worked on Ladybug a couple of times." Adrien's eyes lit up with glee. "Oh no. That's not what I mean Adrien-" It was to late for Plagg to stop Adrien.

"Plagg. Claws out!" After Adrien transforms into Chat Noir he ran from roof to roof. When he got to Marinette's balcony he looked through the glass trap door. He could see her sitting on her bed, holding her knees to her face. He knocked lightly on the window. She didn't move from her spot. Chat knocked a little louder. He could hear sobbing from within the room. He started getting worried when she didn't move but, continued to sob. He wanted to open the trap door but, knew that was rude. He knocked a little too loud and thought that her parents might have heard it. Chat could see Marinette's head jerk up and look at the trap door above her bed.

"C-Chat?" She wipes her face and opened the door for him. He jumps down onto her bed. "What are you doing here?" Chat could hear the shakiness of her voice and see the redness of her eyes.

"I came to see you, princess. What's wrong? You look like you've been crying. You okay?" Chat Asked. He knew she wasn't alright. "I could hear you sobbing from outside." He added.

"I'm fine Chat. Don't worry." Marinette sniffed.

"Of course I'm worried. You're crying by yourself in this room. Mari, you can tell me what's wrong. I'm here." He tries to calm her down and puts a hand on her shoulder.

"I don't want to talk about Chat." She looks down at the bed. Chat frowns at her.

"Telling makes it feel better." He keeps trying to get her to open up.

She looks up at him. She sighs and gives in. "My crush started to date, someone. It broke my heart and I-I tried to hold back the tears all day, b-but when I got in my room I-I just... Let it a-all out." She sobs as tears form in her eyes. "I've had a c-crush on him for a long time now and it r-really hurt to s-see him with s-someone.. else." Chat's body moved on its own before he realized it. His thumb wiped the tears from her eyes. He made sure not to scratch her with his claw. Marinette's eyes widen at his movements. "C-Chat?"

"He's idiotic not to notice you. Don't cry okay, princess." He watches her wrap her arms around him and hugs him close. His eyes widen and a light blush dusts his cheeks. He hugs her back, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Marinette POV

She didn't know why she hugged him but, she didn't care. Marinette felt safe in his arms. She knew she couldn't stay like this forever. She didn't want him to find out who she was and she didn't want to show weakness around him. He was her best friend and her partner, even if he didn't know it. Marinette knew she could trust him. Marinette could feel him rubbing circles on her back with his hands and his warm breath on her hair.

"It's okay. You're okay, princess. Ssh, ssh." Chat tried to quiet her down. She didn't even notice that she was crying into his shoulder tell he wiped her tears away. Slowly she started to calm down. Chat didn't let her go even after she stopped crying. "You okay?"

"Y-ya. Thank you Chat." Marinette whispers.

"Anything for you, princess." He runs his right hand through her hair. He stopped when he heard his miraculous beep. He sighed. "I have to go princess. You going to be okay?" She nods. He lets her go and kisses her forehead before climbing out the trap door above them. "See you, princess. I'll come by tomorrow." He gives her a warm smile and jumps off into the night sky. Marinette didn't even know it was so late out. She watched him jump away from her house tell he was out of sight.
