《Obon Festival [Genos x Reader]》第9章

Genos was suspended in the newly formed, mega blob monster. Unable to break free of his messy prison. The blob monster's mega body filled every nook and cranny of Genos's built-in weapons. He was trapped, and the last thing the cyborg saw was you. He told you to run, hoping that he had bought you enough time to flee to the other heroes but you didn't move. After first it seemed like you were frozen. Glued to the ground in fear but just before Genos lost consciousness he saw a glint of something flash in your eyes.
It was determination.
Your fear suddenly left you. Genos's fear for you didn't make you scared. You knew in this moment that the person whom you loved was in danger. You felt a rush of adrenaline overcome your body. You were no longer glued in place, and you ran...towards the mega slime monster.
The monster was surprised. It didn't expect such a fighting spirit from such a beautiful girl but this just made it more excited to beat you. As you were running into battle you let your getas fell off your feet and forced your tight yukata to give. Your fancy hair-doo Tatsumaki did for you came undone and you grabbed your ornamental kanzashi Fubuki gave to you. You could feel Fubuki's presence penetrate your mind. She was using her esp powers to communicate with you.
"(Y/N) use the kanzashi to stab the monster. Go for it's weakest point!" You tightly gripped the hair pin with tremendous strength. Your brows furrowed. Where is its weakest point?
The mega blob monster cried cynically "Ohhh how cute!! You think you can take all of us on? Well if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!" The huge purple monster started running towards you as well. A large limb came out to grab you. You dodged it at the last second, nearly falling over but you regained your balance just in time to dodge another grabby limb.
"Keep yo' hands to yourself, creep" You hollered. This only angered it more. You kept running around, dodging hands and balls of goo that flew your way.

"Now if you just stayed still." Gurgled the purple monstrosity. You laughed.."Like I'd ever do that." You thought. Then as irony would have it, you tripped over your fallen geta and faceplanted into the ground.
"Ah yes just like that, thank you hehehe." The blob monster's laugh shook it's entire body as it towered over your fallen body. You cursed under your breath as you met face to face and its warm, putrid breath swept over you. A toothless smile formed on the monster's face.
"Did you really think you could beat us? A human? A human girl? You lost. Now it's time to be our bride."
You could feel your heart beat shake your chest. You briefly looked at Genos. Stuck inside the monster's body.
Were you brave enough for what you were about to do? You were about to see.
A single tear cascaded down your soft cheek. Your eyes soften and looked at the monster with the kindest look you should muster. You smiled sweetly and tucked your hair behind your ear, shyly.
"You're right." You said in a quiet voice. Just loud enough for the monster to hear you. It blinked a couple times in confusion by the sudden change by it's creepy smiled grew bigger. Its eyes lustfully looked over your body with excitement.
"But of course I am! I am the king for a reason. And who could resist this bod" The mega blob monster said proudly. You shook your head in agreement and let out a sweet giggle and said-
"I change my mind, it's the right choice to be your bride. I want to marry you now." The mega monster made a noise that sounded like a bunch of excited blob monster squeals. Before you could say anything else it grabbed you and raced back over to the bridge on the river. A couple of lanterns were still lit but no one was around. The full moon reflected brightly on the water. The monster plopped you down in the middle of the bridge. It was so big that when the monster got into the river it was still at eye level with you.

You took a deep breath and exhaled and you climbed up on the narrow bridge railing, ready to jump into the river. A big smile was plastered on your face as you held hands with the monster.
"I want to kiss you before I jump." You whispered sweetly. A deep purple covered the blob monster's cheeks and it agreed, leaning closer with gigantic lips puckered.
You felt Fubuki's presence in your mind again "(Y/N)!! What are you doing!?"
"Something I should've done from the beginning." You thought back to her. Out of the corner of your vision, you saw the group of heroes emerge from the forest. Even though they were far away you could tell that they were panicked for what was about to happen.
You saw the blob monster close his eyes, ready to kiss you.
"Long live the king." You whispered as you ripped your hands from the mega monster. You whipped out the kanzashi from your yukata's sleeve and unsheathed the cover of the pin to reveal a long blade. With both hands you forced the hair pin deep into the monster's eye.
You screamed "YEET!" as you buried the weapon deep inside the blob monster's soft point.
The monster also screamed, but in agony. Clawing at its eye to relieve the pain but you drove the blade so deep into its eye it was already stuck inside. As it was clawing at its eye it swiped at you and you fell back onto the bridge and the wind was knocked out of you. From the point of impact you would see the goop around the blade start turning into stone. The monster ran out of the water and blindly onto land screaming as its body turned into rock. Everything was going well except one thing-
"GENOS!" You yelled out desperately. You had to get him out of the monster's goopy body before he was trapped inside. You chased after the mega blobmonster trying to see if you could get a hold of Genos. But the further the blade turned the goop into stone the more desperate the blob monster became. Still trying to catch your breath you saw the right moment to dive into the monster's body and pull the unconscious cyborg out. You inhaled a big breath of air and went head first into the struggling monster. The goop was turning at a rapid rate. You only have seconds to pull Genos out at this rate. The goop was warm. It felt like moving through warm, purple honey. Opening your eyes inside the monster's body hurt but you had to see in order to reach Genos.
As you slowly opened your eyes, taking the stinging pain, you saw him suspended right before you. You slowly fought the dense goop as you reached out to Genos. You saw the purple goop turning into stone at the corner of your vision, threatening to turn the both of you into rock as well. Your lungs burned, and you stretched your finger tips to Genos's unmoving hand.
"Just..a little...closer."
The stone was creeping faster, it almost reached the tips of Genos's hair. Your finger's brushed against his hand and as you tried to get a grip you felt something take a hold of your ankles. Before you could get a hold of Genos you were ripped from the what remained of the mega blob monster's body.
You gasped for breath but the moment you got it you started screaming, struggling to escape the hold of whoever ripped you out. You saw the stone start to cover Genos's body and soon enough, the stone covered the place that you were at only seconds ago. You were saved but as you struggled from the hold you were in you saw the last parts of the monster completely turn into stone.
Genos was gone.

Divine Mortality is about the experiences of Players stepping into a new massively online world. A video game which was crafted with near-future technical advances, a game that provides seamless virtual reality headset and control support, a game which was hidden until it's surprise hit release shocking the world of boring and mundane MMORPGs played today, and a game that has been described as a miracle creation. Something which is difficult to create in Today's REAL WORLD, yet, it's not impossible with the right conditions and intentions. I try to implement concepts of my dream MMORPG which I believe will work and fulfill a Player's fun, immersion, creativity, and social world. The story in season 1 follows the first person perspective of an enthusiast of the game, Amulet Pond. Season 2 follows a new individual called Sayooshi, written in a more third person perspective (attempted light novel). (Recommended!) Season 1 covers the rough chapters 1-52, Season 2 (chapters 53+) should be better in quality. You can start reading from 53.

The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
